Handyman needed

Hi- own a condo in town that I need a few small jobs done. It’s less than 800 square feet in total. Looking for it to be painted, new vanity installed, new shower insert installed. And maybe new kitchen counters and paint the kitchen cabinets. Very small kitchen. Anyone have any recommendations on who is reliable with quality work? Thanks in advance

Price for door install?

Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for door install here in this area? I have two basic flush garage doors that have rot. I bought two new prehung doors today. I had a contractor quote me today and was shocked at how expensive. I had doors replaced last year at my home in Texas and it literally less than half of what I was quoted here? Maybe I’m out of touch with pricing for labor but don’t want overpay. Neither door accesses the house. They are both just doors into the garage. There’s another door that access my house that is in good condition. Btw. These are not actual garage doors just entry doors into my garage. A 32” door and a 36” door.

Thank you

Gig Work in Kohler

Hi all,

I'm Kenny, one of the co-founders of Croux. We're a gig work app that connects reliable talent with gig work opportunities in hospitality and events. We recently launched in Kohler and are looking for talent that can work in the following roles:

Bartenders: ~$25/hr. Must have excellent customer service skills, knowledge of cocktails, and the ability to handle high-volume service

Servers: ~$25/hr. Basic serving experience required, ability to carry a tray.

Deli Clerk: ~$16/hr. This role will be responsible for inventory, storing items orderly and rotating stock accordingly, marking and labeling stock items.

Produce Clerk: ~$14/hr. To oversee the Produce department by ensuring high-quality products, competitive pricing, clean displays, and excellent customer service while handling orders and maintaining inventory.

Stocker: ~$12.50/hr. Stock shelves, straighten aisles, and update store displays for inventory and promotion.

How It Works

  1. Download the app for iPhone or Android (you must have a smartphone to work Croux shifts)
  2. Complete signup process
  3. Pay for and pass a background check. Talent with a history of violence, theft, or sex crimes on their background won't be eligible to work through Croux. Text our support line below, and they'll give you a promo code to waive the background check fee.
  4. Browse the shifts on the platform and apply for the ones that fit your schedule.
  5. You'll be notified if the business selects you.
  6. Clock in and out on the app. You'll be paid within 24 hours of the shift's end time.

Don't hesitate to DM me for more info. Or text our customer support line 205-973-6689 and let them know which role(s) you're interested in.

HVAC referral?

Bought a house that I will move into in a few years. The basement area heating is not working? I’m not familiar with boiler systems at all. I live in Texas. I’m driving up this week and need someone to check out the system. Anyone have personal experience with good work for decent price? Thank you

There's a big fight coming up this Saturday (Pereira vs Rountree) and I want to find a place to watch. What are some decent bars that will have the fight on?

Road America Sunset Cruise

Has anyone done the sunset cruise at Road America? My hubby just finished his project truck and I think I want to take him. In racing games, he's always using the RA track to test cars, why not IRL?

Tickets are $25, and I'm not sure if that's per person or per vehicle. And to those of you that have done it, is the 3 laps worth it? TIA

Cafe Bella for a First Date?

Hi guys!

I'm a high school student potentially entering a (my first) relationship in a few days. For first date options I'm looking at a coffee date, and have had Cafe Bella quite vigorously recommended to me. What is your experience? Is Cafe Bella a good place for a first date? Is another coffee shop/cafe better? Thank you!

Fly Fishing Sheboygan River

I'm excited to come to Sheboygan early next month because I found some articles saying salmon should be coming up river at that time.

I started looking for outfitters in the area though and really couldn't find any resources on what to buy or even what to throw.

Any tips for a 1st timer in the area? Any help would be appreciated.

Sheboygan internet options?

Hey everyone,

I am finally deciding I'm sick of paying 83 bucks a month for internet, but a lot of what I'm finding is just satellite or 5G stuff. Are there actually any ISP's here besides Charter and AT&T? Charter's got me by the balls and I checked AT&T and it'd only be maybe five dollars cheaper.

Otherwise, do you guys have any suggestions on ways to keep this bill from being so absurd? I live alone and don't stream, but do play videogames online.

If you missed the Northern Lights last month, tonight is your next chance.

Just a heads up, tonight and possibly tomorrow night, conditions look favorable so get yourself to a nice dark spot and cross your fingers:)

If you check the 30 min forecast and alerts watches and warnings, under "products and data" closer to 7pm, you should be able to see if they will be going on. Just didn't want anyone to miss them if they haven't seen them yet.

You guys are lucky

My wife and I were up there for the county fair. We stopped at City Bakery for a snack on our way to Kohler Andre.

Maybe the best hard rolls in the entire world. Fleishbroks? Are you kidding me? I would eat them every week. Mmmm... Cronuts. Everything we had was superb.

Waukesha has nothing like this. There is not a bakery in Milwaukee that can hold a candle to City Bakery. Everyone in the city will say Rocket Baby, or North Shore Boulangerie, Grebes, etc.. But these bakeries are all over-rated and pale in comparison. I was a baker for many years and I am always seeking out a good one. City Bakery is a great little shop! Can't wait to go back.

What else are we missing when we visit Sheboygan?
