Open swim at homestead?

I heard from my neighbor that there’s open swim at the homestead pool in the morning. I looked online and didn’t see anything about it. Does anyone know if this is a thing?

Was that a plane?!

I thought a giant truck was driving by a minute ago (downtown Mequon by Public Market), but pretty sure it must have been a low flying jet. Anyone else hear this? There was nothing even close on the radar. It was REALLY loud.

Mequon train frequency

I'm looking at buying a house in Mequon that is close to the train tracks that run on the east side of Mequon, closer to the lake. How often do trains run on these lines? Is there a place where the schedules are published? I'm aware that this is a freight line but am still concerned about the frequency and potential noise.

Thanks!

Short stay for work…

I will be here for about a week every month for the next several months. I need recommendations for a few things: Best locally owned grocery store Best non-chain coffee Best sushi Tacos- Birria and pastor being my favorite Any good food truck spots? And the best parks for walking/roller skating.

Lastly if you only had one day in Mequon where would you go and what would you do??

German-American / Pomeranian culture, history, and traditions today

Hello! I'm a college student currently participating in a summer research project that looks at the folkloric traditions that different American groups practice. I recently attended Pommerntag in Mequon and got to observe a lot of the traditions that Pomeranians practiced in Europe (dances, weaving, food, etc.). I was also fascinated by the extensive research done to preserve Pomeranian genealogy and history.

I'm curious to see if anyone from Mequon would be willing to talk about their experiences or involvement in the German-American community there. If you'd like to know more about this project or are willing to be interviewed, let me know!

Mequon Road closure is a MESS

It’s still the first day, and traffic was backed up westbound from River Rd to the Public Market. I really hope the city has a contingency to fix this.

This means war. u/secondhades and u/pyrodrum can stay. They at least provide funny content to an otherwise dead sub.

Covid Pfizer Booster

I'm unable to find any Covid Pfizer boosters in our area. Is anyone aware of a location nearby? All of the locations I'm finding are quite a drive.

It seems like our community is being ignored. I may need to contact elected officials to see what is being done. This is disappointing when the government is telling us to get them and mention nothing about shortages.
