I get that he is 4 years older and he very well might not be as good as he was. However, the Clippers basically told him to sit home instead of play for them and I'd like to think PJ (being the dawg he is) doesn't want to go out like that.
This team needs some fire. Even tonight, who was taking charge when we were losing the lead? No one.
We need guys like Bobby and PJ to fire this team up.
PJ might have had a lot to do with our title or he might have, in reality, had very little to do with it. However, the perception is he was a main cog during that run....both to the fans and this team. I think it's worth seeing if you can have lightning strike twice. I just feel he is one of those guys that you just feel tougher with immediately.
Anyone else think he is too soft, timid and scared to call out how bad we are in these postgame press conferences? If this is a reflection of he’s coaching and communication no wonder the players are playing soft.
Docs favourite quotes after a bad game “don’t know, need to rewatch the tape” “Not sure where it went wrong” “Credit to the other team” “They wanted it more and outplayed us”
Other coaches after a bad game “Unacceptable performance” “I apologise to the fans” “Not up to the standard we strive for” “You will see us bounce back next game”
Where is the holding people accountable and tough conversations? He’s talks like he’s coaching an under 10s team and the players are playing like it.
Like can we do this… or just trade everyone. Nobody’s feelings will be hurt, esp after Luka.
Can I interject how much I despise Doc substitution pattern in the 4th quarter lately. Seems like every 4th quarter now, Bucks start the quarter without Giannis and dig them selves in a hole, then Doc puts back in Giannis with no plan whatsoever with 3 guard lineups and the lead explodes. Then he puts in the regular, Khris, Giannis, Dame, Brook lineup while down 10+ and expect the bucks to make a comeback with 5-3 minutes left in the 4th. Make it make sense?
This team is not championship caliber right now, everything should be on the table to upgrade.
Khankles
After consecutive losses, it becomes clear that we need a change. We have many issues as a team (eg Dame + Giannis dynamics, aging, inconsistent performance, offense, Doc, Bobby, etc) but have potential to improve. Personally I think we’re relying too much on our core whilst not having a cohesively strong team like the Celtics (as much as I hate saying it).
I’ve been a long time Bucks fan and seeing us go from 1st seed to straight losses hurts. I think winning the NBA Cup made us a bit too comfortable lmao. We gotta stop relying on Giannis to save the team and actually make a move.
TLDR: We need to make a trade before Feb 6 if we want to even have a chance at a chip. On a slump rn…

Been a bucks fan my entire life. Pre big three (yeah Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen, Sam Cassell) Saw them win in 6 at Fiserv. What are we doing here? Our team our town… smh
And it's our best players
I don't care if we go 12-70 until the year 2100 the Bucks are and always will be my team for life, that being said we're fucked lmao
That’s it. That’s the post
Going to see Dame play the Charlotte Hornets what time does he typically do shoot around pregame? If I get to the arena an hour and a half before tip off, will I catch him or does he get there extremely early?

Twelve games takes him up to the Denver game on 2/27. His two-way salary doesn't count against the salary cap so there is no reason to sign him before that even if a spot is opened up via trade.
If no trade is made they'll have to release someone to give him a regular deal and make him playoff eligible. Delon Wright seems likely but Chris Livingston or Marjon could be options too. The reason for Livingston and Marjon is another team could pick them up on waivers and assume their contracts, which save the Bucks paying the contract and the tax for those guys. This would be true for Wright too, although I don't think he'd get claimed. I'm guessing rebuilding teams might be interested in Livingston or Marjon, want to give them a look but don't want to give anything up.
If Livingston passes through waivers, he could be re-signed to the practice squad. He'd actually make more money, because he'd get his guaranteed regular contract money and two-way money. I like him so if they could get him on a two-year, two-way deal that would be good.
The deadline to sign a two-way player for the rest of the year is March 4. The last day a player can be waived by a team and still be eligible for the NBA playoffs is March 1.
The Bucks bounced back from an atrocious effort against the Grizzlies to beat the Wizards 101-91 in DC. The Bucks shook off a slow start after the Wizards scored the first 10 points of the game. Monta Ellis scored 22 points and Brandon Jennings was ejected for defending Ellis after a hard foul on Ellis by Bradley Beal. Marquis Daniels finally cracked Scott Skiles rotation . Bucks improve to 3-1
In the spirit of the Luka-AD trade and it absolutely making no sense, who is to say the Bucks can't also pull a ridiculous trade to get a better player out of their asses?
Let's say we give up Khris, Bobby, and the '31 pick. Who would you guys rather take in this scenario?
First, let me preface by saying a big congrats to Adam Silver on successfully getting Luka to the Lakers. He accomplished phase 1 of is his plan, but rest assured that his phase 2 plan is in progress. And if the Bucks continue on this self destructive path, then he's bound to succeed on his phase 2 plan as well. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Second, I feel sorry for Luka, his fans, and the Mavs fans who were blindsided by this middle of the night semi-quasi coup de'trat trade deal.
Third, as much as I believe that the Mavs made a mistake trading Luka away for some bags of chips, I still have to tip my hat to them for doing something that no one saw coming. They have my respect in that regard. They actually said sayonara to their superstar player because they felt he did not take his job or health seriously. I wished more GM are like that to be quite honest.
This Luka trade may end up being the blueprint for many executives in the league going forward. Many current NBA players are just there to collect their paychecks. They don't show up for games prepared. They don't take regular season games seriously. They whine to referees, don't play defense, they don't want to perform their duties on the court, and just want to do whatever the heck they want without any accountability. There are many players in the NBA like that. And sadly there are some players on the Bucks team with that same mentality. They refuse to play back to back games, or complain that their schedules are too grueling. Excuse me what? There are people in the real world working double shifts 5 to 7 days a week trying to survive on minimum wage, and you have these spoiled brat millionaires complaining about their schedules. I think a shift is about to happen. The era where athletes get paid millions but refuse to show up to play is about to be over. No more excuses for these athletes. You are making 20-50 million but only want to chill on the court, or only want to play half a season, but expect your employer to show you some loyalty? Honestly, I wish the Bucks GM has a smidge of some of the gumption that the Mavs GM has, and maybe then we wouldn't be stuck with some of these dead weight players on our team.
After this shocking Luka trade to the Lakers, nothing is impossible. The Mavs traded a guy that just took their team to the NBA finals, the face of their franchise, the guy they drafted 7 years ago, and who is only 25 years old. Luka was not only traded but he was traded for some bags of chips.
So, based on all that has transpired, I do not want to hear any more nonsense from Bucks fans about how Brook, Khris or any player on this team is untouchable. The only player that should be untouchable is Giannis PERIOD.
And finally, this is the NBA message to all the superstar athletes going forward: NEVER, EVER GET TOO COMFORTABLE.
Bucks still own the Worst trade of all time when they swapped Dirk Nowitzki for Robert TRACTOR Traylor. Time will never heal that wound.
Giannis is just a much better AD so I'd figure the Mavs would try to go after him first. I can imagine that Horst just laughed and hanged up if this did happen lol
The murmurs of Giannis to the Lakers in 2026 are already rumbling and this is a BIG trade with Superstar for Superstar with both win now and future aspirations. How to the front offices of the Bucks and other teams respond? Ideas? Thought? Worries?
Hear me out! There is a good chance Doncic could hit the free agency market in the 2026 off season. He has a player option for the 26-27 season and he could not exercise it if he wants to test the waters with other teams to see if they give him a better chance to contend. The lakers have been notoriously bad at roster building the past few seasons and are not currently geared to make a run anytime soon. Luka might feel like other teams will give him a better chance of contending.
...do we want? He was only on a vet min so we could pick him up even with the 2nd apron restrictions.
And before y'all flame me, please know I'm only posting this because we need a backup big and there's literally no one else out there lol. At least Bamba could absorb a good 8-12 mpg against bigs so Giannis/Brook/Bobby have more rest time on the bench.
