i want to buy a ps3 because i really want to play mgs4 and mgr which are stuck there but this got me wondering what other games are stuck there on ps3?

It is my understanding that the launch model in Europe was the C (partial emulation), but Googling CECHA03 I can still find some people mentioning it in several places. It is very, very rare though and could be a typo on their part.

So is it a thing, or was the CECHC03 the true first PS3 in the UK?

Can anyone tell me how to save games on PS3.Like do we need memory card?Pls answer

My 2001A has a problem where it shuts off shortly after starting. I was hoping I could take the hard drive from it and put it in the 3001B I just picked up and have all my saved data. But I have been looking into and have seen some conflicting results that make it seem like I can't do that without problems.. also found that the 3001B has around double the storage, so I am also curious if there is a way to transfer the data from one hard drive to the other? I would absolutely be willing to make repairs to my old ps3 but I am unsure what's wrong with it. It has frozen up a lot in the past few years and in that case I would just unplug and restart. It would start up with a message about checking for corrupted files or something like that and then work but it never seemed to hurt it, until it died. I used to run an external USB fan directed at the back of it up until the last couple months that it worked, not sure if that was helpful but it seemed to freeze less when i started using the fan. Sorry for the long post. Any help/advice is appreciated greatly in advance!

I jailbreaked the PS3, downloaded mmcm, and downloaded RE4 in PKG, i installed it but it said I need to buy it to play, now my problem is I can't find games in PKG, only in ISO, and I can't find a tutorial for setting up ISO (maybe I'm just stupid) so I'd appreciate any help

Marketplace within 100 miles only had 1 non-working fat and a cech-2000 slim. Really trying to stay away from those caps so looking for a 2100 or 2500. I could obviously order online but I don't know how to identify model numbers. Is there a way to do this with HDD sizes or something since the revision is never listed specifically?

Checked everything retro store and pawn shop within an hour and nobody has anything at all.

I'd entertain the super slim since I don't care about CFW, I just think it's ugly.

I've never touched any of the Dragon Ball games on PS3 and am looking into picking up one to play. I'm not really trying to get multiple different games though. I'm looking for the one game that's sort of the best overall representation of what Dragon Ball has to offer on PS3. A jack of all trades basically.

So a while back I have been wanting a PS3 as its the only one in my budget.I knew I will only get a refurbished one obviously,so I started searching the internet for good options and I found one.It promised me a PS3 Super Slim with 1tb and 82 games pre-installled in it.It comes with a dualshock controller,power cable and HDMI cable.It would cost 170 euros.But I would have to buy a monitor for it which would be like 22 euros.It said it would have some minor scratches but I am okay with it as it is very old console.I can add the list of games if you guys want to see.So can you tell me if I should go for it?(I am quite new into gaming so I don't know much about it)

Saw that barely anyone had set leaderboard times for this game so I decided to try and set some times on the Tropical stage in the Citroen

So i have 2 PS3's one has a 120GB HDD and the other has a 250GB SSD. If i were to remove the 120GB HDD and replace it with the SSD i know it will format to the console but it i took the SSD out after it formatted and put the HDD back in would the HDD reformat or will the console recognize it?

I tried to use it for Resistance 2 and can't press X on the "don't turn off when the save icon is showing" screen.

Is this normal? Is there a list of DS4 fully compatible games?

yesterday i bought a COD AW at a thrift shop the other day. the back of the disc is shiny and has almost no scratches. and what scratches are there are so thin they're almost nonexistant and theres only 2 or 3. i'm on mission 5, and it keeps freezing and making a very loud sound. i dont know if its the PS3 or the disc itself. im gonna post this on a few other subreddits too

To start, its not the yellow light of death. What happens is when I power on the ps3 it runs for anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes, freezes, beeps 3 times, powers off, then has a red blinking red light and I can't turn it on til I cut power then add power to the system. I tried using the stock hard drive to see if my hard drive was the problem but that wasn't it. Also I have a launch 60gb model PS3. If you have any suggestions please tell me.

Never had this problem before, it literally worked a couple hours ago but now I hit the egg icon and it doesn't do shit.

Does anyone else has this problem? I can't go to irisman or any other game because of this

Update: Ok I kept trying for a couple more times to enable hen. After like 5 tries it suddenly worked

Had my PS3 cleaned and re-thermal pasted last year and what just curious will these (PS3’s) always sound like this? Playing PS2 disc and it’s just so loud with the PS3 fan blowing. Solutions or ideas? Or just accept this fate
