Was Searching Facebook market place and saw this white ps3 super slim. She said it was not working so I was probably going to try and fix it myself. She wanted $50 I asked for 30 and she said ok. So when I met her I asked her what was wrong with it and she said the top lid was missing lol. And I told her it slides back and forth and she was shocked. I felt bad and gave her the 50 she originally wanted. Everything works fine so far

Hi, I noticed when browsing the PS3 store that there are a ton of avatars and themes that you can only find by looking up the game, and then scrolling down the page to the list of respective avatars released alongside the game.

What’s cool about these avatars is since they’re actually released by the official publisher, they’re always of high quality! Unlike those many hundreds of low quality avatars that pollute the PS3 store’s “avatars” section.

I bought Virtua Fighter, Resident Evil, Hatsune Miku and Sonic themed avatars this way! It got me wondering, how many more avatars and themes are out there that you can only find by going to its respective game listing? Scrolling through that giant seemingly endless list of avatars on the PS3 store is just impossible.

Would anyone like to share some games that have exclusive avatars and themes? I’d like to buy them before the PS3 store closes or the publisher makes them inaccessible. THANKS!

I’m trying to put my older hard drive that has different games and downloads on a ps3 but it will not go bcuz it needs a update can I just swap it out while it’s on and update it that way?

Hello, I’m planning to buy a ps3 with hen soon.

But I have some doubts, I never had a modded console before.

1: on a ps3 with hen, can I use a PSN account normally?

2: can I still get trophy’s on games for my account?

3: can I play games online like cod bo2, battlefield 4 etc…?

4: about questions 1, 2 and 3, can I be banned if do those things?

5: if u get banned on ps3, will the ban be on account or be on ps3? I mean, an account ban or a hardware ban that brick the whole console?

6: is it too complicated to use a hen console? I saw some videos and it have sooo many options, folders, and so many things, I’m worried by doing something wrong and destroy the whole console.

Ok my neighbours our moving and they knew I liked gaming and gave me their old PS3 for free, which is super kind and I am very stoked but I never grew up on PlayStation console, I grew up with an Xbox and a GameCube which is kinda funny considering how much sony dominated the console war at the time. I'm mainly wondering how backwards compatible it is and whats the modding like?! I really want to play older games for the ps1 and ps2 like original ff7 or kingdom hearts! Does the ps3 have backwards compatibility back to the ps1 and how cool is the modded experience :3

Hi, I currently have a Demon's souls save on the original Japanese release, but will be buying the EU version soon so that I don't have to use ultra instinct to read item descriptions. Just checking that saves aren't region specific? I'll still be able to access my main character on the EU version?

Basically it was a shooter in an alien world with an orange color setting.

• It had a variety of guns at the start.
• The map was limited and had a barrier that you couldn’t pass.

I’m thinking of taking a bunch of my ps3 games to the pawn shop (buy and sell shop). I have either updated them with game of the year versions or have doubles of it on ps3 or pc.

I’m curious if I should just bring them in in one trip or take several trips. To get an idea the games I’m currently looking at to bring in are as follows

Ico and shadow of the colossus, Sleeping dogs, Far cry 2, Far cry 3, Dead rising 2, Saints row 2, Dishonored, Dragon’s dogma, Diablo III, Elder scrolls oblivion (game of the year edition), Fallout 3, God of war III, Dragon age origins, Batman Arkham city

Is this game still available to buy, I can see the PSVita and Apocalypse edition for the PS4 but nothing for the PS3

I'm not intimately familiar with what a PS3 disc load is like but mine usually requires a little encouragement to get a disc all the way in. When ejecting though it has no issues.

I can hear the motors start up when I place a disc in and grips it briefly and starts to pull but I gotta give it a slight push when it's almost all the way in. It's never failed to load a disc but if I contrast it with a Wii the Wii grabs it more readily and tightly, is less loud, and doesn't require a slight push to get it to finish.

I'm wondering if I can do something like grease up the rollers or put in a cleaning disc without having to replace the entire blu-ray drive. I'm not uncomfortable doing a blu-ray drive replacement but it's more than I payed for the entire PS3 for a replacement as well as time and effort I would rather save. There's also the general anxiety of taking something otherwise working apart ala "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Which is why I'm looking at the possibility of resolving it via other means.

I was quite a shy kid growing up and my dad bought this for me to help me.

it was a 2d single player game. you were a blue tall robot and you lived on a planet, there were other robots you could talk with and you had the option of saying rude or nice things to them (i think). to travel to other the other bigger planets- like the one you started on- you would travel to these smaller ones where youd get asked a series of questions, i remember there only being 4 answer options you could choose from. i remember some of the questions being like a quiz- for example, whats your personality, are you an introvert or extrovert etc and some of them were more specific like asking how you feel with your gender identity, how you feel about yourself etc. i remember youd also get "emailed" by a some sort of professor who would give you positive messages like- youve got this, everything will be ok ( im not 100 on this ) i also 100 remember you could collect furniture to decorate the planets you unlocked.

please help me find this! very odd game now that im remembering it but it was one of the first games i was introduced to.

So I recently bought a new ps3 fat, so I decided to log into PSN and download some already bought games (from 2008), but the only thing it does, is gradually say it takes more time, and when I cancel it it freezes, then I hold the turn off button and the screen turns black then it beeps twice and doesn't do anything just stays on with the fans.

I have tried it with the original HDD and even gave it a new SDD.

how can I fix it?

When I first started working my first big purchase was a super slim PS3. I bought a bunch of physical games too, some of them for over $80.

I only had it for like 2 years but I only played with it like 6 times. So I sold it, dirt cheap too. Less than half of what it originally cost me. All the games went too. The one game I bought for 80 bucks I ended up selling it for like 20 bucks. The console was practically new, I even had the original box ad everything.

Some time later I bought the Ps4, no more physical games, only digital, and the PS Plus subscription. That was a few years ago too. It's brand new. I've played with it a few times but I don't know why, now that I have money to buy what I want including games, I just get bored too quickly.

A few weeks ago something got into my head about getting a PS3, because I'm full of regret for selling the one I had. I know I couldn't get a new one, only used and refurbished ones, so last weekend I bought the slim version all modified with Hen. I had an external hard drive lying around, so I filled it up with a bunch of games that I probably won't even played.

I think it's more about that feeling of having back something should've kept in the first place. I just didn't realise what an amazing potential the PS3 had back then. It's everything you'll ever need.

I bought this used console for like $100 that came with everything I need but it doesn't feel the same.

One thing is for sure though. I will never sell my PS4. No matter how boring it gets, it has amazing potential too.

System boots and shuts down in under 2mins. Fan is cranked up to try and keep it on…

Would a repaste of the CPU and GPU fix this?

So, I bought my first ever PS1 game and I wanted to try it on my PS3 through backwards compatibility.
My PS3 is european and so is my disc, but for some reason my console just won't read it.
I don't know if it's because my disc is scratched, or some other reason. I've tried to wash it but it also didn't work. I don't think that polishing (or however this is called in english) the disc is the way to go, but I might be wrong. Guys, what do I do?

Can anyone shed some light on how I can tell if a PS2 game I mount with Webman mod in XMB loads ps2_emu.self or ps2_netemu? My CECHA should always be using ps2_emu since it's got PS2 hardware inside, but how can I actually verify this is true for mounted images?

Someone on the forums mentioned webmanmod should show me in the notification on the top right of the screen when it mounts the image, but he was incorrect as it only says the file was mounted with no additional information other than the image name.

I'm currently on 4.91 Evilnat PEX beta 6 OC.

To be clear, I assume my original discs will always run ps2_emu, but I only want to verify mounted images.
