Hey everyone. I have my ps4 for over a year now, but that wasnt the first one. The thing is that i still think about it, and lately i just cant get over it. Felt like telling you guys.
So i was in college, and my roomate had a ps4 and i never really had a console so i thought i buy myself one. I wanted to play some exlusives, and in less than a few weeks i have bought myself a used ps4 slim from a marketplace.
I was so fucking happy. The first purchase was dmc hd collection on sales. I played trough it, and my other friend recommenden me to play The Last of Us, and that it was on ps+. Sure, i got a subscription, and downloaded the game - but it wont start. Few days passed and ive done a lot of research. I had an issue with internal clock. I tried everything from reinstalling firmware completely to replacing cmos battery - no luck, still error ce 30391-6 when trying to launch a ps+ game. So i text the guy i bought console off - he denies everything saying he didnt have any problems and then just outright started ignoring me. But the issue was present, and the guy said before that the console worked perfectly, so i got scammed.
Another cmos battery replacement, a few resets, visited a service center and they said fixing it costed half the price of the console - and ive lost hope. I couldn`t afford to pay even more for something i`ve even overpaid for. The next day i made a listing on the same marketplace about a console in a working condition, with photos launching games(bought games were working, the ps+ ones didnt). The next day i do stupid shit - i meet a guy near where i lived and give him the console personally, and surely after two hours he calls me back asking for a refund. I said okay, said sorry, i "didn`t have this issue". And i was fucking destroyed, not only i got scammed but i couldn`t even do the same thing. I tried again, but now away from where i live - the same thing happens. The guys calls me back, asks for a return and i do it:(
I was so fucking sad you cant even imagine. I was scared that they will find me and shit.
Then i got angry with myself because that shit cant keep happening. I create a new listing, get a burner number, payment only with cash and met with the guy far from where i lived...
There is just no chance the buyer could find a way to contact me, as he just called me and we started discussing the deal outside the marketplace.
Finally my mind was at ease, i got my money back, and got another console with all the possible tests before. I still have it. It still works, but i`m sad. What if it was going to be a gift for his kid? What if it was his dream to get a console since he himself was a kid?
Damn man i feel like crap.
It all happened almost exactly last year and that`s strange to say but the weather right now is the same and it reminds me constantly of all of that. Weird shit. But it sure is easier to bear when i laid out everything like this. Tell me guys what you think about all of this; Any opinion would be interesting to me.
Hi everyone, first post in this sub.
I was having issues with my PS4 freezing and thought I would share my solution in case it is able to help anyone.
The issue I was having was that I could not connect to the internet, and whenever I would go to connect to my WiFi, I would get to the setup screen where you have to choose between "Easy" or "Custom". Whenever I would press either of these options, my console would display the loading symbol, but would never progress any further. No buttons would work on my controller either. The LAN connection was also not working. I also had no prompts to update to a new system software. I saw on another Reddit post that I should boot into safe mode and use the "restore default settings" option. This did not work for me. I also saw that I should try the "rebuild database" function from the safe mode menu. This also did not fix my solution. What worked for me was to boot into safe mode (long hold on the power button until it beeps again), connect the PS4 to LAN via ethernet, go to "update system software" and go through the process as prompted. This made my console work just as well as before I had this issue.
TLDR: boot to safe mode, connect ethernet, update system software, fixed
I am not sure if this solution has been discussed here before, but I thought I might be able to help a couple of people :)
Thank you
My dad is in his 70s and loves playing FIFA - it's all he plays! But he's recently asked about FPS games. I did get him Call of Duty WWII but it was too intense and too difficult as he's not used to using both sticks in that way.
What's an easier First Person Shooter that might be a bit slower and less intense that will give him time to get used to it before being killed?!
I'm looking for something I can pick up for under £20
I haven’t really delve much into the series, so just curious 😅
A tiny bit of spoilers is a-okay for me but try not too spoil it too much please or else I’d send a giant from Skyrim after you. 🤷♂️
I've been playing ps4 since 2019. I've played a lot of games, spent a lot of hours playing fortnite (1000+ hours). I'm never got around to switching to the claw method. How many people play this method? Tell about your experience

For the longest time, I’ve just continued to play games on essentially a daily basis even though they didn’t hit the same as I used to, and nearly 2 years into the cycle, I decided to put an end to it, and here’s how: simply stop playing games for a period. When it gets to this point, you’re essentially burning yourself out more and more on gaming and you essentially need to give yourself a “gaming detox” to try to get that feeling of novelty back. I’m not completely there yet, but I’ve been mostly taking a break with some casual play here and there for the better part of a 3 weeks now and I’m starting to remember how I felt playing a lot of these special games to me now that I’m not overstimulating my mind and just focusing on what bring me enjoyment currently, rather than what traditionally has brought me enjoyment over time. For anyone experiencing this phenomenon, it’s not a phenomenon at all; it’s just gaming burnout, and it’s completely normal. I fully expect to be back into gaming like I used to be in 2025.
I just found out that i can purchase games from the store no problem through the ps app with apple pay and my wealthsimple debit card, havent tried buying ps plus yet. thought this information would help those who rely on psn cards

Hi Everyone. I Know this is a silly question, but is there any 30th anniversary Wallpaper or anything like that for PS4?
To be honest I am kind of jelous PS5 has the original start up screen and sound.
Thank you for your attention.
The finals free to play game is now out on ps4
I'm kinda broke for the moment and have some free time over the next few days,so I wanted to chill out and play some games on my old PS4. I was scrolling through the store looking at the sales (sorting by cheapest lol)but nothing really caught my eye. I picked up Kingdom Come Deliverance without expecting much a few months ago for a similar price and finished it twice. I don't have ps plus so it would have to be single player. Btw I already own the Metro games, I noticed they are on sale now and already finished them (great series). All recommendations are welcome :)
Can anyone recommend any games that are like Tactics ogre reborn.

My gf and I rage quit this game a few months ago and now she's playing it again.
