For context, I used to play this disc a bunch but always kept it in it’s case at room temperature when it wasn’t in the Wii U. It still plays just fine though.
Hello, my Wii U has had an issue with the hdmi output where the display is this glitchy static. Is there anyway to fix this? I know 100% that it’s not an issue with my hdmi cable or the tv since I’ve tried it on a different tv with a different cable. The gamepad display is perfectly fine it’s just the tv display that’s like this. I’ve switched it to the AV output and that works, but I would rather have it display in higher resolution since it’s a little hard for me to see when I’m playing on the AV output. I remember playing it around a year ago and it was fine, and I haven’t touched it in the time in between. So I’m not sure why it’s suddenly like this. Is there anything I can do to fix it or am I stuck using the AV output? Thanks!
Could anyone share their dumped files with me? Just need the two. I want to connect to pretendo on cemu and upload the mario maker world I have been working very hard on, I will not hack or cheat or anything like that using these files. I understand they are specific to each console but there should be no banning anymore anyways bc the nintendo network itself is down. I don't have a Wii U so I can't get the files myself, this is the last thing I need to be able to connect to pretendo and upload my world. I would reaaaaally appreciate any help :) If anyone is interested in helping me you could send me a DM. I can't find working files online anywhere for some reason.
Any advice for someone buying their first wii u?
I have a wiiu, which is home brewed. I have a 32gb sd card which is for the nand, and just added a 1/2 TB hard drive I had lying around after getting one of the Y cables and that’s working great.
Can you have the nand drive bigger than 32gb though? I know for the usb drive, you can have up to 2tb formatted correctly, but I’m struggling to get clarity on if I can put a bigger drive in to replace the 32gb sd card
I have my WiiU since 2012, never had any problem with it. Most of the time I'm the only one who plays on it often since my son got the Switch. This week my WiiU stopped showing up on the TV, but playing with the gamepad is working fine.
I tried everything that i could.
The tests above were also done in the TV that it was plugged originally.
Just to add, my WiiU cables, power supply etc.. are all original. It's working normally, shutdown by gamepad or a single press of the power button, blue light on, no warnings or blinkin leds.
This week, if I manage to find some time, I plan to open it up and give it a deep clean.
Any advices on what this issue may be?
Hello guys. My Wii U pro controller controls itself quite often, and it only started a few days ago. Both left and right triggers don’t push down nearly at all and are very easy to activate by accident. The directional pad also sometimes does this, however that is less common.
Any help? This has gotten extremely infuriating.
I cleaned my minecraft disc, put it in and it recognizes the game. It says it will need to update the game and it starts estimating time but then stops and gives me the error code 162-4064. When it asks if i want to play without updating because it says it could not be updated, i click start and it immediately gives me error code 157-1116. I click ok then it switches minecraft to an “invalid disc” and gives me error code 150-2031. Im so confused and google isnt helping so if anyone knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated if you helped me
Im searching for a ssd (200-300GB) which doesnt need a y splitter cable. I already found one, but I dont know if it needs a y splitter cable. Its from SanDisk and it has 240GB storage (Idk if I can just post links here)
idk if i titled it good enough 💀. but my wii u will only power on if the power cable is moved to the right. i have tried multiple power cables. the first 2 pictures are with no pressure applied to the right, the second one is with pressure applied to the right
Sorry if this is obvious but my wiimote keeps making a loud vibrating sound? I've never had an official wiimote before so I really don't know.
Is there a reason why my Wii game works great on my Wii but won’t run on my Wii U? It’s Wii Play and it works fine in my Wii but My Wii U keeps giving me errors. My Wii U works great for game like SMG and DKCR so what’s the deal?
My Wii U gamepad has been having troubles charging. Sometimes it will work alright but often the led starts to flicker, and it won't charge. I thought maybe it was a faulty charger, so I bought a new one, no dice. Then I wondered if my charger port was having issues, so I got a charging dock and still no difference. Any ideas what to try next? Thanks.
The most relaxing music from any Nintendo console is the system settings and notifications music on the Wii U like seriously go on YouTube and take a listen to those themes and you’ll see what I mean
Gave me a sticky note, said he checks the quality of stores in the area and what they sell. I asked him about the Wii U, to which he said he enjoys it and believes the plaza should be re-implemented. He had a binder for things that people say that he wants to forward as suggestions, and took mine when I asked about recreating “Iwata Asks” or something similar to first party developer talks, whether or not that becomes its own direct (it’d be really good as it’s own direct).
It’s not that big of a deal but it’s nice to know someone who officially works at Nintendo sees fondness in the Wii U
Wii remote is OEM. Feel free to give me tips on holding the remote vertical during gameplay.
I am probably one of the few out there that do. But honestly, I like the Wii/Wii U generations. Call me simple I guess. There is something overall to me about the Switch that just feels... meh. I got one for free awhile back as a gift. Also, it probably doesnt help that half the time it doesnt seem to work properly for me. I can turn on the Wii U, and bam. No issues. Also, how cheap Wii U games are currently is a HUGE plus. For example.. I have been finding games like SSB4, Super Mario 3D Land and a few others for under 15 dollars CIB. Paying 40-60 dollars for the same ported game to the Switch.. Nah.. I'm good.
Just found out about they got a board for it and thought it’s super cool, but I only have a Wii U(home brewed).
Anyone know if it is still compatible? And if it works on Wii U, can you use the board to play other tony hawks or other skating games? Thanks guys!
I’ve had my Wii U since Christmas 2014, and played a ton of it. Eventually I stopped playing because I was a stupid kid who couldn’t take care of discs, and the only games I had left were bad games. Now I’m starting to get more games that I used to play but it doesn’t read the old save siles I have. I can tell there still there because I see them in Storage settings and the dates go all the way back to 2014. Can anyone help me out?
So a few months ago I found my old Wii U with a few games on it, and just for the nostalgia i decided to play them fully and finish them, and now that im done i wanted to sell it along with the games it has, but the buyer wanted it freshly formated, thus i tried to format it but it kept asking for a parental code that i no longer remember, i tried getting rid of it but it keeps sending the master key to an email i do not have access to, am i cooked?

This is for modded wii u, just need some help. Thank you
The Wii U allows me to play a game released in 2017 on an old CRT from the early 2000s. And I think that’s amazing. Even if I can barely see anything.
