I’m looking to play on my tv some vWii games but I lost the sensor so I’m stuck using my gamepad as one which is not so bad some what difficult to get accustomed to but anyway happy of having that extra portability option. So to the chase looking for a replacement, I’m not interested in an original, I just want something practical so I found a wireless sensor bar but I’m septical about how it connects to the Wii U or if it has some lag issues or actually works at all. If any has experience with it I would greatly appreciate
Been quite into the Wii U recently and decided to start collecting for the console (Currently just collecting first-party Nintendo games, but looking at expanding my collection further later on) but noticed a few games being significantly more expensive than others. And was wondering what games should I get before there’s a potential increase in price? And should I wait out and see if there’s a price decrease in the more expensive Wii U games or should I just “bite the bullet”?
It’s kinda hard to see but those white dots line the edge of the disc and they can be felt when rubbing them
Do you think it would be possible to port GTA 5 to the wii u via using the source code and c++?
My Wii u makes a horrible disc sound after turning it on, it sounds like a tape player eating the tape, is there a problem or is there a solution?
(I was going to send a video but shitty reddit doesn't post or send videos)
I have a Wii U disc for the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. I tried inserting it into my Wii U to play, but I keep getting an “Invalid Disc” message. Can you all please try to identify any scratches or issues with the disc to see whether or not it’s the issue? And, whatever the outcome, can someone please help me??
I don’t mean using the gamepad as an additional accessory / tool, I mean playing the entire game on there. Like when you’re in a different room etc
Idk
I just ordered a Wii U but it’s already soft modded and it was modded ages ago. So I think it’s best to reset it and start from scratch, but I don’t want to brick the Wii U. Is there a guide that can explain how to essentially remove the homebrew and restart everything from scratch so I can reset it to factory settings and avoid bricking it?
I have home brewed my WiiU but for some reason when I have to re-enter my Nintendo network ID account password (which is also the same for pretendo, I have the same account linked on both), it says my password is incorrect no matter what. Anything I can do to fix this?
During a Twitch stream of Bayonetta, the ZR button broke right in the middle of gameplay. The rest still work fine.
So, I think "Okay, I've dealt with stuff like this before. Maybe something needs to be cleaned." I take Isopropyl Alcohol to the contacts, nothing.
So then I clean the small pieces that actually press on the contacts, nothing happens. I swap the small pieces, nothing.
I remove the button itself so I'm pressing on the contacts directly, and nothing.
At this point I'm running low on options so I outright buy a set of replacement contacts for the whole right side, and again the ZR button still doesn't work while the rest do!
I'm really not sure what to do next, as I don't wanna throw the whole thing out just because of one button on the fritz. What do I do?
Every time I try to play it gives an error and stays on that screen. Help
I’m not really sure what’s the problem here (I’ve had this for like a year or 2) because it just happened randomly and the small lines in the middle weren’t there until recently
I know I bought Splatoon twice, it was accidental lol but the extra one only cost 1.12€ so it's okay. I live in Europe and I'm going to mod it, region unlock it and change the OS language, I just wanted to own some physical games since I really like how Wii U physical games look and they were hella cheap.
Hello, I've been looking to buy a Wii U for some time now and I may be able to rather soon, but I remember that there was a lot of talk about NAND failures (specifically in black Wii Us that were made during specific time periods, I don't really remember the details), and I can't really find information about this now. Are Wii Us still getting randomly bricked because of this? Should I still go for white ones? Thanks.
I want to take the dust out of this foam thing as It's ugly (more visible irl than on pic) and i fear that a buildup of dust can scratch the cds
Wii U already soft modded, all cables, console and gamepad, two Wii motes, 1 nunchuck, 1 pro controller, 250gb external hard drive for 170+ 12 shipping.
Or
Wii U not modded and restarted, all cables, console and gamepad, two pro controllers, 1 Wii mote, 2 games (doesn’t matter I plan to mod it anyways) for 155+ 15 shipping.
I’m leaning towards the first option as even though it’s better to mod a system yourself, I think there’s more value there. But I really want opinions before I go ahead and purchase. Thanks guys!
Edit: If possible, do you guys mind also sharing with me what the difference is with a soft mod and a hard mod? The modded console in this post is a soft mod.

I have been waiting for 6 entire hours now waiting for my Wii U to check the USB Storage Device I got. For context it’s a 1 TB Hard Drive that on EBay said it could work on the Wii U, and when I plugged it into the USB slot the light on it lit up, but it has been 6 hours since I clicked the format usb drive and I need ask if I’m doing something wrong? Does it being on the Checking USB Storage Device screen mean it’s working because I feel like if the 1 TB Hardrice didn’t work I would’ve gone a message for it ages ago.
Finally got my wiiu only 12 years late o well I'll just play a fews and then wait for the switch 2
Looking to replace it (not the digitizer aka touchscreen, only the screen). Can it be replaced with a generic LCD of 6.2" (say, a tablet one) or does it have to be made for the Gamepad?
[feel free to talk with me in portuguese!!] i wanted to buy an wii u for a cheap price, because all of the wii u's that i see on the websites are quite expensive, and i can't pay for them, the average price is 1200R$, 1500R$, 1700R$ or even 2000R$. so i wanted some help to find an cheap wii u to buy, like 700R$, 800R$ or below.
So i just got a wii u today and the gamepad worked fine for a while maybe a couple of hours or so, but after a while the touch stoped working on the screen. It works sometimes when i press hard on the screen and then try to press anything on it but very inconsistent. Works fine for 5 minutes after i restarte the wii but then it just does not work. But all the buttons work. I tried cleaning the edges and calibrating but that did not work. Anyone know anything that might help?
It’s not useless yet. They haven’t ported possibly my favorite Wii U game: Yoshi’s Woolly World
