I used to have plague inc and I actually liked it a lot, but later I got bored with it and deleted it. Fast forward some long amount of time later: I changed my gmail and deleted the old one. Can I request back the game?
Hey guys, I'd like to get some games as Christmas gifts but I want to be able to write the code down for them to redeem in a card I can hand them. I'm personally very unfamiliar with steam and how it works so I don't even know if this is possible, but if it is I'd like to do this. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Oh hi!
This is an huge pet peeve but I am sure that here many hae faced it before.
I play Assassin´s Creed Odyssey on Ubisoft Connect (hate that I can not count the hours in game in my steam account).
Right now, Odyssey is at 5€ with the Autumn sale. I would not mind buying it again for this value.
The question is: I like the game but I will not play my 15 hours again.
Can I somehow extract the saves from ubisoft or by byuing the game on Steam as my accounts are linked, if I open it on Steam the game will start counting my hours?
Anybody has done that before?
Best,
Out of all the gaming platforms, Steam has always had my back. I wish I could reply to the ticket to say thanks but the ticket's closed, so here I come to Reddit.
I bought myself a game during the sale (6 euros when it's usually 60 euros), and a few days later my boyfriend decided to gift me the same game because he knew I wanted it for ages and the sale was too good to resist. The problem is that because I already bought the game, I couldn't accept his gift, but I didn't want to decline his gift and make him feel useless. If I decline the gift, an email gets sent notifying my partner and I think it goes in his inventory to gift to someone else or something?
I thought I'd go out on a limb here and try asking Steam if I can "remove the game from my account", basically refund it, but I said Steam could keep the money for the inconvenience - 6 euros is worth nothing to me compared to making my boyfriend happy, and it's my fault for not letting my partner know I got the game. It's really not on Steam to have to do anything here - wholly the fault of the customer.
Not only did Steam remove the game from my account so I could accept the gift, but they refunded me the money anyway even if I said they could keep it. Maybe they can't simply remove a game like that without extra hassle, no idea, but either way, big thank you to Steam for honestly having the best support I've seen in any platform/game/company/you name it. This isn't the first time they've been a straight up hero to me.
Long Live Steam!
Has anyone figured that out or should I buy the game at ubisigt.. I had already Ubisoft connect installed on my steam deck but I had issues regarding the login and inactivity of my user account
How can i Delete Steam Profile Badge heeelp
They are still the summer ones and im still waiting for them to change so i can get that free XP
Hello!
Is it possible to transfer my Ubisoft saves to Steam?
I play Assassin´s Creed Odyssey and I have it on Ubisoft. It is right now at 5€ on Steam.
Since Steam is my primary Gaming luncher I was wondering if I buy it, and start opening it on Steam that the saves are automaticaly linked?
I know it is an huge pet peeve but I am sure many of us here feel this way.
Best,
I hate time based achievements, finish a game in 1 or 2 hours. Sometimes a game is already extremely difficult and finish it in an hour is almost impossible. I like to play calmly, without rush, so this type of achievement doesn't appeal to me.
What possible reasons would there be for someone to delete their steam account? So heres the deal, im just really depressed tonight thinking about my old friends who have all drifted away from me. Mainly due to family and work (I guess thats pretty common). The person im talking about WAS my best friend. Honestly im not really sure why he cut me off to begin with. I mean yes, I did become addicted to drugs and have had on/off problems with drugs my entire life. Throughout that entire time I never did anything to him. Never borrowed money, never stole or anything like that. Life is strange and it just gets stranger the older you get. Anyways I logged onto steam (been playing new gen consoles for the past 2 years) and I noticed I still have most of all my friends but one. My childhood best friend. I guess it wouldnt bother me that much if it weren't for the fact that I remember seeing his account (cant remember his account name) active just two years ago. I remember seeing updates that he had bought Elden Ring and played it. Now I sign in and his account is nowhere to be found. What possible reason would he have for deleting his account? I cant think of anything. Even if your just not playing PC or steam anymore, what would be the point of deleting it? Like it doesnt make sense to me. You would just be inactive and forget about it, right? So either he deleted his account for some reason OR he unfriended me after all these years. Just to throw this out there, when my only brother died of Covid in 2020, he didnt even bother to come to the funeral OR message me. Idk, I guess im just confused and depressed. Whats the point? Whats the point of unfriending someone, when they did NOTHING to you? Out of all of the people I think his disappearance bothers me the most. I know this obvious thing to do here is to just contact him but I feel like if he didnt bother to even reach out to me after my only fckn brother died.......why should I be reaching out to him? I guess im just here to vent about life in general. I legit dont understand why people can be so cruel. Even if someone goes down a wrong path (their choice) that doesnt mean you need to stop being friends with them or stop all contact with them. Hopefully its something stupid, like he got VAC banned or decided to use another platform? Idk? Why not just keep it active though? Nothing to gain from just deleting it. Really sucks man.
Why is it that when I open the game it pops up and says “allow this app to make changes to your device?” With the steam icon?
What changes is it making?
I'm having trouble with my custom layout for my controller on big picture mode. The problem only occurs when I play a game that I brought into steam using the "add a non-steam game" feature. Is this why it's not working? Or is there some setting I should change?
So Ark: Survival Evolved is a big game and took me a long time to download. If I wanted to move the files to an external hard drive so I don’t have to redownload it and I can just install from disk. Would it be better to backup the game using steam’s built in backup feature or would it just be simpler to throw the whole game folder in winrar to compress it and save that to my external drive?
Just to be clear. I’m not trying to play it off of an external drive. I’m trying to make room on my computer for different games without having to spend forever trying to download it over Wi-Fi. I plan on coming back to it soon enough.
100% its my pc and I know that. But whenever I sign it, it just adds another to the list of authorized devices, by this I mean whenever I reboot my pc it just makes a new device on the list, same name, same location. Idk what the hell is happening, is this normal?
Is there any chance that we will be able to get our steam games on mobile (besides the deck)? Games like Civ 6, terraria, and plague inc already are in the App Store, so why not let me download games like brotato or the game from above from steam to my phone?
