This day I learned - if you click the mouse wheel while browsing the store, it opens a new browser window in Steam, so you can check the game, without losing your place.

so you guys prolly know about those free steam games accounts which contains games but I want to keep these games in my main acc is this possible ??
i'd like to be able to kick back and use my pc with a ps4 controller, since it has a touchpad, but the desktop config stays when i go into a game, even if i turn on steam input for the game and select the default configuration
have it for years never actually play it. but i heard its terrible. is the upgrade worth it?
Hi, I'd rather not elaborate on the ACTUAL account name here as you can probably tell it's why i'm writing this (I made this username because I thought it'd be funny a while back) but, would steam ban someone for their account name or anything along those lines? I don't mean the display name on the profile I mean the actual account name that you cannot change.
I've been with Steam since 2004, despite their release in 2003, my first game ever purchased from Steam was counter-strike source. I remember when scrolling through steams new releases, was the coolest thing ever, uncovering one of a kind games with pottential. Now!? It’s more like knee tdeep in schidts creek pattling against the Hershey currents; I struggling to find something in the marketplace packed with lookalikes and low-effort cash grab indie games, and anime puzzlers.
If I don't search with tags, I generally click on a title with an intriguing name, hoping for at least a fun trailer or some eye popping game play. But then I hit the reviews, its yet another unity asset flip, held up by a flood of suspicious positive reviews.
It really is disappointing that steams early access and review systems, which were once reliable ways to sift gold from the gravel, have become so exploitable. With positive ratings practically for sale. Unfinished early access titles, it feels like any game can claw its way to the front page if it throws enough currency at the problem. I get overwhelmed when I see Steam front page, and their search results as well. I lock up and say screw it, I'm out! I often find myself going to green man gaming or gog as a practical way to avoid this nonsense. Browsing twitch or reddit looking for games with potential.
Steams main page is becoming a scrolling obstacle course imitations. Now, it barely makes a difference and at this rate, I am more inclined to ignore new releases entirely, and theres only a handful of reliable sources to find something worth playing.
Steam really needs an overhaul and focus on quality over quantity. I remember back in my day, there were som really awesome inventive games; it would be a shame to lose that legacy to games that don’t deserve the spot light.
I'm subscribed to hundreds of workshop custom zombies maps/mods for COD: Black Ops 3.
The problem is that the size of my workshop maps/mods for this game alone total to over 1TB, this isn't an issue on my main PC where I use the workshop items daily; however on my Steam Deck (2TB modded) I just don't have free enough space.
I would like to install Black Ops 3 on my Steam Deck but without the majority of the workshop items - I would preferably like to keep some workshop items installed, but not all of them.
If this is not already a feature it would be very useful if it was added to Steam and the Steam Deck.
Is there a way I can keep all of my workshop maps installed on my main PC whilst not installing any (or only some) of them on my Steam Deck?
Is there a way to delete steam cloud saves or something? How do I free up space in the cloud. I'm doing a completely fresh install of Skyrim Special Edition and I don't care about keeping anything I had previously.
The new game profile Dragon Age (Solas) offers the same transparent theme as Dying Light 2's, with an added transparent edit button and no progress bar for achievements.

Thank you for making PC Gaming Great, been a fan since the days of Half Life 1 until now.
Hello! Whenever I go to my wishlist the number of games that are shown in the parentheses is not the same as the actual number of games that I can see on the screen. I remember adding lots of games to my wishlist and buying them one by one, but recently this bug has been annoying me quite frequently. I don't remember the exact game that I added to the wishlist back then. I don't have any filters and I don't understand why this is happening. I noticed other people had the same problem as me, however, I don't want to use any sketchy commands on the dev console. Is there a way I can remove all the games at once or something relevant that can possibly solve this problem?
If you look at something like the GPU percentage share values for October they add up to a number larger than 100% https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/directx/
"Percent", by definition, means "per-one-hundred". A value isn't a percent if adding all of the values doesn't equal one-hundred.
Also, the "percentage changed" values should all add up to zero, every time. You can't have percentages all go up or all go down, one can only go up if the rest go down by an equal amount. Somehow we have nearly all-positive percentage-changed values for GPUs, except for a single -0.04%. That's unpossible.
Someone should be fired for not passing 4th grade fractions-and-percentages. There's plenty of skilled coders out there who deserve the job far more than whoever currently is getting paid to do it.
I want to make a controller configuration for Red Dead Redemption that presses the A button every ~15 seconds and bind it to the back paddle of my Elite 2 because pressing the button to make the horse sprint hurts my thumb joints after a while. Is there any way to do this?
I was thinking about this recently and about how it would make Nintendo so much more money to put their games on steam. Why don’t they do this, and will they ever port their games to steam?
Used my card to bu
Earlier when I was trying to figure out what was causing nightlight I seen that this thing was stopping from restarting and after goggling I seen a community post saying its related to steam so is it? Or do you know what it is
(did not know what flair was appropriate)
What if steam went bankrupt ? Would I still have access to my games ? I would hope in an event like that we would get to keep all of our games. I have lots of games on steam. I never want to lose them. I like gog but unfortunately not everything on steam is also on gog. But I do think gog is a great service. If Gabe Newell has addressed this may I have proof ?
I have around 50-60 games in my wishlist, I'd really like to be able to make some separate groups in there like, the games I would wanna buy as soon as there's a discount, the games I'm not so hot for but I wanna follow them for some reason to not forget and have them separate from the 1st wishlist, then some unreleased games that have "coming soon" instead of price, when they get released and get a price I just don't know what they were and why I added them, it's all a bit messy piled up in one place, and eventhough they can be filtered in any way possible (release date, genre, rating), I still can't separate them by some personal preferences...
Didn't wanna bump an old post, but I've seen someone already suggested something like this, there's a lot of different ways this could be solved, like an ability to add a personal "tag" to a game, cuz tags work nicely for filtering, or just a place where you can see a list of all games you are following, it could be useful as a means to create list separately from main wishlist, but as far as I know, followed games can only be seen in a feed if they post some news
I want to learn more about current peak total and disk usage. Also im confused by the graph and what units are being used specifically Mbps. I tried researching these but i couldn't find anything helpful. Any explanation would be awesome.
So I can’t see my screenshots that I took yesterday, or last week. I can only see the ones I took today. Is there any solution?
Hi I recently discovered VR gaming center that is using games without paying licenses, where or how should I report all their accounts?
Lately I've been getting comments from players I have never played with. They type some random nonsense under screenshot. I've set my profile to private but is there something that can be done to stop this?
