Found it while helping my dad sort their attic out, battered and worn box, the poly tray is wrecked, looks like a restoration project
The console is in awesome condition seeing as it was packed away in the box and still works perfectly, even found my Killer Instinct & F-Zero games, there's a lot more hiding up there I just know it
I’m a casual gamer and am content with the graphics that can be outputted on those original PS5 and Slim systems. But I feel Sony tricks gamers with every new new-gen system release by releasing the original system first then a pro system years later.
I bought the PS4 on launch and then years later the PS4 Pro comes out that can do 4k gaming. Then years later the PS5 was released and I was in awe with the framerate and higher graphics and what the controller could do with the haptic feedback. And now the PS5 Pro releases. It made me change my way of going after the next-gen release when PS6 releases. I’m not gonna get the PS6 on release and will wait until they do a release of the PS6 Pro and be content with my original PS5 in mean meantime.
I think it’s misleading to have customers pay over 500 dollars sometimes even more with the bundles during the pandemic they had and then years later release the PS5 pro and force people to spend close to $800 with taxes and the disc drive and system all added up. Even if someone sold their original PS5 or Slim you're still forcing the gamer to sell something to upgrade to something else instead of putting out the system it intended to on release day.
Also, I want to say I am not shitting on the ps5 pro. I think it sounds awesome what it can do I just can’t afford the price difference truthfully but if I did have the money I still would not upgrade. I just rather wait now because Sony did this with the PS4 and PS5 making an original release first then years later making a pro. I’m not a fan of this trend I wish they would just make the pro version and sell it when a new console releases. Is anyone content with just owning a PS5 original or Slim and not getting the PS5 Pro? What is your reasoning for the decision? Are you gonna wait until the PS6 Pro comes out and skip getting the PS6?
I’m looking into getting a friend of mine a console for Christmas. I have an Xbox Series S and I really want to get him the same but my budget probably isn’t gonna allow it. He isn’t a super heavy gamer. He loves his Switch and old game boy. He’s huge into Pokémon. Recently though we started playing Smite and rocket league together. His poor switch just can’t keep up and he gets kicked from most matches resulting in penalties. My question is would a regular Xbox one or Xbox one s be okay performance wise? I went from a 360 to the series s so I don’t have experience with the others. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hello everyone,
I'm heading to South Korea in March with my girlfriend and her brother. Last time I traveled, I brought way too many portable consoles, which became a hassle. I'm looking for a single console to bring this time, primarily for use during the 15-hour plane ride and on the train. I will be bringing my Macbook for work/school however.
I value mobility and light weight, and here's what I currently own:
I'm torn between the 2DS XL, Steam Deck, and Switch. My girlfriend and friends are leaning toward the 2DS XL because it's portable, less likely to get damaged, and still offers a large game library. What would you recommend? Thanks!
I literally missed the opportunity to grab myself a ps5 during Black Friday and cyber Monday. Will the Ps5 also go on a huge sale during Boxing Day as well?
I'd like to buy a console, with the promise that it might get me back into gaming again.
I'm really not much of a gamer at the moment. I own a computer that can still handle most games at average detail, but outside of the occasional DOTA 2 or the few weeks a year where I play a game every day and then don't touch it again, I don't play much. I would like to play NHL though (I owned a PS4 years ago and played it a lot).
Is the Series S for me and is it still worth it at the end of 2024? Local stores offer the 500 GB version for 260 USD atm (cheapest version of PS5 starts at 420 USD)
I recently purchased a PS5 for a familiar as a gift, however I was told that they had asked for a PS5 Pro, however tho, I don’t think they know that the PS5 Pro only comes as a digital console, so I opted to buy the PS5 disc version instead, but my wonder is that if the individual had any old ps4 discs or data, can that be easily transferred to a PS5? Did I make a preferred decision? If it’s better to buy a Pro I can easily exchange it if need be,
i am debating which i should get and thought i could come into here and see what y’all think should i get an sp or ds?
I plan on wall mounting for the LG or for the Samsung get a monitor arm for my desk
So I bought an LG OLED C3 a few months ago and I have had my PS4 pro since 2019, and I am believe it is time to upgrade to ps5 but..
I am thinking should I get the slim or the pro version and from my research I found out that there is no clear way to decide especially that current games are still not that great test to the pro.
Most of the games that I play are fifa, rocket league because my mates are playing it and it is like social thing for me. I also play solo games for the stories and the graphics.
So my questions are:
There's a deal for the ps5 slim for $425, and I can trade in my ps4 slim for $100. I mostly want to play through games like God of War and Uncharted 4. Mostly an older ps4 catalog, but I want to play it on my 75 inch 4k TV. Is it worth it to get the ps5?
I know my life has many issues but this... This issue just worst
My god of war was not working, I was just getting stuck on the title screen, I tried every way resetting my controller through the pinhole near L2 deleting and downloading the application again restarting my ps4
Then I thought I should rebuild database, so I put my ps4 in the safe mode and the screen shows connect the dualshock using usb cable and press the ps button. So I tried it and my controller is not turning on. I tried connecting it from the cable but the charging light shows for a second and then it blacks out, I tried the pinhole method again and still nothing is happening, I thought my cable should be at fault so I tried another cable and still it isn't working
Can someone please help me!!
Im not a big gamer sold my gaming pc(not new) Ps4 so I start usig xbox one. My question is I only need for nba2k25 im not a gamer the games get bored so fast for me due to my adhd. So would you buy console because of 1 game?
It should be noted that I know next to nothing about the actual construction and mechanisms of game consoles or computers, but I'm open for being learnt.
As far as I know, the hard drive on an Xbox console isn't as sophisticated as one designed for a PC, so why is it that an Xbox can handle this out of the box, while a PC requires you to create an entirely new user to store data separately?
They are complete in box and i am a massive fan of the legend of zelda series and i want to try out halo, was this a win or loss?
Don't know if tierlists are allowed here
I just realized I am up to 13 consoles...I'd like to display them all, but I have no idea how to display everything so it's all playable. Anyone have photos of their collection setup?
So at home I have a ps5, currently over seas right now and I would like to play some console. I didn't bring my ps5 cuz that would've been hard to bring. But I'm looking at getting a xbox series s while I'm out here. Should I drop money on that whole setup? Or should I just continue playing my switch😅I don't want to bring the Xbox home and we just staring at each other while I play my playstation
Next year I may be looking to get a portable pc and I'm wondering which one is the better one to get? To give context last year I sold my original Steam Deck I had but now I kind of miss it and really would like a gaming pc handheld again. Linux isn't really my jam to be honest I prefer Windows, but I'd still be okay with using it as well. I really liked the accessibility of the Steam Deck with the Steam program that allows you to play your games on the go. A Windows handheld sounds amazing to me though. I would also like to know how much the cheapest Rog Ally unit is going for these days. As a former user I know what the Steam Deck is capable of so I would mainly like to hear the opinions of folk who own the Rog Ally as to just what you can do and the differences. Things too like how long yours took to come, how much storage yours have on it, games you play on it, etc.
Since I’m buying a PS5 for my boys this Christmas, I’m wondering if there’s an app that I can install on the Fire TV in their room, so they can remote play on their TV since the PS5 will be in the living room?
I know there’s the PSPlay App on the Google Play Store, but I don’t think that’s available on the Fire TV natively. I’m wondering if it can be side loaded, though? Or, if there’s another app, that’s cool too.
PS5 Remote Play App for Tv?
Hi! I'm looking for a shooter which I could play casualy mostly and maybe a bit competitive tiem to time
I returned my PS5 Pro to get back into the Xbox ecosystem.
Now I have Xbox Play Anywhere, free cloud saves that transfer between the two, BC Ability for my old Xbox 360/OG Xbox games, my long time digital library, and another outlet to play when I don't feel like sitting at my desk and remote playing. The PS5 was great and all, but the ecosystem Microsoft has made for it's products is highly underrated vs. investing in a single closed environment that Sony provides. To each their own though. 💪🤠
