On my old PC, I played Warframe, Bordeland 2, Bayonetta, Fallout 3,Tomb raider, Mafia, Dark soul, Hitman..
Do you think i would be able to play on this console or not?
Thanks 😊
What you would be able to accomplish on a PS5 and Series X could be amazing if turning RT off were an option. Especially considering that I can't tell a difference with it on anyways. It's like throwing your frame rates and resolution into a garbage bin. On PC, setting to even low nets a 15FPS+ penalty.
Idk if it's just me or if it's normal but I feel like my ps5 gets hotter faster compared to my brother's ps4 with just a few hours of using it. Even the disc is hot when I remove it after playing.
I'm wondering what good and exclusive games are available for the PS5 (no God of War or The Last of Us, please). When I say exclusive, I mean: a game that isn't available on Xbox, Nintendo or PC, only on the PS5 (and, following this rule, Marvel's Spiderman and God of War are not exclusives). I'm asking this because I feel inclined to buy an Xbox Series (even though I have a PS4), and the only things that matter to me in a console are: price (of the console, the games and the subscription), backwards compatibility and, mainly, its exclusive games (and that's why I got a PS4, because I wanted to play Kingdom Hearts and The Story So Far collection was only available for PS4).
I've been thinking about this for a bit, I have some money that I could save towards getting a ps5. I'm just wondering if it's worth it. I have a ps4 and have had it for a good while, I like what playstation offers, but should I buy a ps5 as of 2024/2025? Is there anything that's gonna release in a couple years that I should wait for, and just stick it out with my ps4? I don't mind my ps4 at all, but I wouldn't mind better quality gameplay, I'm also thinking about buying the game cartridges themselves, will I be able to use the ps5 games with a later playstation?, I just assume so, but I'm not that knowledgeable about that.
Hi. I haven’t played a console since early 00s. I want to purchase one for Christmas for my 6 year old. Would switch or something else be better? At the moment she loves games on the iPad like Toca Boca days (random ppl playing characters in worlds) and mine craft. Also if I do go with switch what is switch vs switch lite? Thanks for any recommendations:)
This is probably going to sound strange, but I am looking for a game that has that moment where your jaw hits the ground and you find yourself walking around just looking at the environment…like the first time I walked into Zangarmarsh.
I have all three consoles…just looking for that jaw dropping environment.
I tried moving the joystick around, and finally sprayed 90% isopropyl alcohol into it really good. Stuck a q tip into the opposite position it is drifting. Let it dry for an hour, no luck. Just doused it again so we’ll see. I know they make these things to break, but is there anything else I can do so that I can return the controller I just bought as a backup plan at GameStop?
Hey, I’m struggling to decide which console to get to compliment the PS5!
I’ve had both consoles before, so I understand their limitations (limited exclusives on Xbox, Steam Deck mainly being for old games) and sold years back for various reasons
Xbox
Steam Deck
Thanks!
Uh warm warm! 🥰
I’ve been down this rabbit Hole for hours now and I can’t seem to figure out what is the right way to achieve 120hz through my display port. My monitor will not do 120hz through the HDMI port, but only the display port.
Okay so I looked online at some adapters and turns out I need an active adapter HDMI TO DP.
My monitor only supports DP 1.2 And HDMI at 1.4.
The adapters I have seen people recommend are £50. But they sell some cheaper ones on Amazon at £20 ish, but apparently they are only for PC?
Can anybody link me an adapter that was worked for them, I think its abit stupid to only allow 120hz+ on the display port, I really need help this is driving my insane.
Thankyou :)
Hey everyone, I would like to get your opinions on the PS5. I currently have a PS4 Slim, which I absolutely love playing on. I never upgraded to the PS4 Pro because I didn't have a 4K TV at the time, and I was fine with playing games in 1080p. As long as I can get a resolution between 720p and 1080p, I'm happy (I do now have a 4k TV).
However, I’m considering selling my PS4 Slim and getting a PS5 Slim instead. I’ve noticed that more games are being released for the PS5, and fewer for the PS4, and there are a lot of PS5 games that I want to play. What do you all think? Do you have any tips for me?
Hello!
We're getting our 11 year old son a console for Christmas, UK based.
We're currently between the Xbox s and PS5, digital only is all we're looking at right now so game pass or ps+ will be required.
We know a couple of his friends have PS5's however at secondary school we have no idea which will be more popular.
Which console would you recommend and why?
He currently has an Xbox 360, so is used to Xbox but has played on PS before.
Hi guys, so i preordered ps5 pro but already sold my slim since i did not expect disc drives to be out of stock so fast. And now that they are i barely managed to get a hold of a "new" one with a fair price. So the thing is this, i bought a new disc drive taken off of a disc slim, the console was unpacked in front of me. My question is, if the console was never turned on, will that disc drive still be registered to that console or will it work like a brand new one?
Recently got gifted a series s but I’ve been eyeing the PS Exclusives especially Demon’s souls remake and TLOU 2. Someone will buy my Xbox + 512 GB expansion storage + games for $270 and I can add $150 to get a ps5 slim. Is it worth it?
My partner (52m) has an Xbox One but for Christmas I want to surprise him with an upgrade. For context he probably games only 5-7 hours per week at a maximum and can go several weeks with only 3 hours. I was going to buy him an Xbox X because I know that he’s been gaming on Xbox forever and I figured no big deal, that’s what he likes so I’ll get it. However, I did some small amount of research -namely looking up games that are similar to assassins creed. Assassins Creed is his favorite game so I thought I’d preorder the next one coming out in February and find another game to buy so he has something new to explore in the meantime. The one that seems most intriguing to me and that I think he would like is Horizon Zero Dawn but then I figured out that’s only available on a PS. I was also reading that games like this Single Player RPG adventure games with heavy storylines might be more available on PS.
Is this true? He is in his 50s and has never owned a PS so I don’t want to do the wrong thing but from my understanding of his gaming this style game is pretty much all that keeps his attention.
So, do I get the PS and HZD and show him how cool PS is for the types of games he loves? Is this even true? Or will owning a PS for the first time in his 50s be frustrating and will I regret making that jump on his behalf?
Also his Xbox one is still working just fine but it’s about 5-7 years old, he buys the game pass every other year or so isn’t currently using it and he does not game on a PC ever. He also never plays online play with other players.
For reference I am 34f and I do not game ever but I do have a hobby which I will do while sitting in the living room with him and watch him game from time to time.
Games he likes: Assassin’s Creed(this is his clear favorite in all ways) The Witcher The elder scrolls Red Dead Redemption Call of duty (although he stopped playing a few years back I think they changed the gameplay)
Saw it on tiktok it looks really cool but also to good to be true
Alguém ajuda aÃ, tô atrás do meu primeiro console e queria umas dicas!
I own a Xbox Series X but recently my friend from college gave me his old ps4 for free because I wanted to try out some PlayStation exclusive games such as the Last of Us Part 1 & 2 and Detroit become human.
I’m debating if I should buy the PS5 since it’s the more powerful console than the PS4 but I’m only interested in playing the three games I’ve said. Is there any reason to upgrade to the PS5 just because it’s the current generation or any good upcoming exclusives I’m not aware of? Or shall I just keep the Xbox Series X, PS4 combination?
What’s your opinion? Thanks
Ive been looking to get a 1440p monitor for my ps5, and im deciding between the AOC Q27G3XMN and the Dell 2724D. The main difference is the aoc supports proper HDR, but not VRr due to a lack of hdmi 2.1. Meanwhile the dell supports VRR but only has fake HDR. I mostly play single player games so i assume HDR is more important for me
I was trying to update fornite but it keeps stopping by itself is it because of the high traffic or is my xbox broken
