They are still releasing games for the PS4 (very happy!!!)
I've been looking for some fps games and having problems finding ones that meet the criteria. Basically I want a game I can play on campaign for like 30-45 minutes. Not too much dialog. I like the COD games, borderlands 3 (probably my favorite) was great, recently enjoyed Titanfall 2, and Doom eternal. Didn't really enjoy metro exodus (too slow), bioshock wasn't my thing. Any recommendations similar to the first mentioned group would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone know any good ones that are multiplayer, anyones similar to dead cells but multiplayer
I just started playing "Enlisted" yesterday on my PlayStation, but I really don't like how the controls are set up. If anyone can help me switch some controls and buttons, it would be GREATLY appreciated. (Also, managed to pull off my first victory, so Hooraa!)

I'm hooked on Evil West as of today. Cant put my controler down.
What game had lowest expectations for you but turned out way better than expected??
You can mention special editions too.
"The original plan was for the 3 cities to be on separate maps. The player would travel between the cities using trains and planes. (Gta 1 and 2 also had three cities on separate maps)
Memory was very tight on the ps2 and with separate maps, the other cities’ skyline models wouldn’t have to be in memory.
It would also make it easier to have different police/ambulance/firetrucks for each city. Different pickups, weather types etc.
It would also be easier to contain the player until it was time for the next city.
It would also make it easier to organize the models on the DVD city-by-city which would help the streaming.
Just before the artists started working on the three maps, we had a final meeting at R* North in which we changed our minds and decided to go for a big map after all.
We still ended up doing city-specific pickups, police cars and weather.
Happy birthday San Andreas. You turned out all right."
If you could reimagine the base PS4, what changes which would have been feasible would have you made to the hardware?
For me for the PS4:
Streamlined lower overhead OS. For instance, the customizable/downloadable animated 3d OS skins weren't really needed and I noticed they removed them for the PS5, same with some of the realtime socials & forum features. Make certain apps like Spotify exclusive instead of running concurrently with games.
Price the console 50 dollars more expensive and use the savings from stripping out unnecessary features of the controller (delete touch pad and replace it with a swipable extra button instead - thats all the touchpad is used for anyway, delete speaker, delete large light bar), and removal of optical output and 1 of the USB ports to make the following possible:
3gb stick of memory reserved for the OS similar to PS4 Pro. That with a more streamlined OS would have made memory available for games from 4.5-5.5gb to around 7-8gb.
Clock the CPU faster, as close to as what the PS4 Pro got as possible (30% faster). All cores but 1 reserved for games from the get go instead of unlocking it mid life.
Some sort of hardware based high quality upscaling solution built in. Sony is a leader in image processing and has had quality upscaling tech in their TVs and cameras for a long time, I'm surprised they didnt put it in the PS4.
Hardware based checkerboard rendering support.
Faster hard drive with hardware based chip for taking streaming and decompression load off the CPU like the PS5 has, latest generation compression. I think launch ps4 had a 40mb/sec drive, a 60 mb/sec drive seems doable. An SSD in 2013/14 would have been too expensive, but going from 40-60 is a 50% jump and would help improve graphics by allowing more and higher quality assets to be streamed on the fly, or allow faster movement of character or camera in games, or simply reduce load times.
Dont know if this was too early to be feasible, but grabbing fp16 support from the PS4 Pro which was revealed only 2 years after the PS4's release would have been a big deal if they got that from the start.
Any remaining money left over goes into more GPU compute cores.
Support for VRR
What would you do?

I still see new releases for PS4 in its 4th year since PS5 got released. And these new releases aren't just some sport games.
Usually when the next gen arrives, old gen gets abandoned in 2 years.
Yes, most aaa games are no longer on ps4 but when we see a remaster, indie game, small budget game with not much demanding in graphics, there is always a PS4 option.
It's actually quite nice that old gen is still supported honestly. And I feel like it's actually better method than Xbox Series S/X method. Like every game needs to be adapted for lower/cheaper specs.
Developers do not have the obligation for making the games optimizable for the low spec device like Xbox Series S (since it's considered to be the same gen as X)
But if the game already does not have demaning graphics and old gen is capable of it, they can just release it under previous gen consoles.
It's perfect for indie and graphically not demaning games/remasters!
Hopefully this trend is continued on PS6!
