I've played and loved the numbered Xenoblade games, but never owned a Wii U, and therefore couldn't get into X, so I'm really hyped about the announcement.

Is it likely that there'll be an option to switch to the original Japanese audio, though? It's how I played the others. Well, Eastern games in general.

I don't believe dubs are automatically inferior, because that really just depends on what is more digestible for you based on your experiences, and to be honest, I don't really care about which one is considered higher quality either. I'm just used to Western things sounding Western, and Eastern things sounding Eastern, and I'd rather experience something without a constant uncanny sensation tickling the back of my brain. Lip movements also match. It's more so about where the piece of media was created. Ougon no Kaze takes place entirely within Italy with Italians and Hagane no Renkinjutsushi seems to be based on German influences for example, but I'd still prefer listening to the Japanese audio of stories like that. I suppose muting is an option, but that would also be a bit of a bummer.

Apparently, the original didn't have the option, likely due to file size concerns, but the international release of the definitive edition is going to be based on the original Western Wii U version, and the file size has been significantly reduced, which might be good news. Don't care about outfits and boob customisation. I prefer stories with fully fleshed-out protagonists anyway, and I'm gonna be choosing the male avatar. Just wanted to hear if anyone else knew more, though. Couldn't find any information about it.

I know I could also just wait for more details later on, but I'm way too hyped for this. Can't wait to explore Mira, guys. All hail the madlads at Monolith Soft that just keep on delivering.

Iirc, the hairstyles in the character creator for Xenoblade X were references to past games' characters. Some of the voices were, as well, right? Does that mean...

Xenoblade 2 and 3 hair/voices for DE???

in the meantime, I think the positive thing from it not being there is: the musicians (and not Nintendo Co Ltd alone) have agency over the publication of their music. I gotta believe that it's because the Xenoblade music being included hinges on it being on terms they agree to. Probably also on what already-in-place publishing contracts say.

The first we ever heard of XCX, to my knowledge, was this old but excellent trailer on YouTube. Given that we've had some threads on this subreddit talking like certain trailers were just released, why not do so for this old XCX trailer now that we know the Definitive Edition of XCX is getting released soon? I'd also like to know how the fan speculation for this then-unknown Monolith Soft title in those days went.

I actually have a hard time understanding how xcx will fit into the trilogy after 3. Is xcx just a separate universe not related to klaus’s story where he >!split his universe in two!<? Like how does that even fit. I dropped xcx, but i know there is a >!superboss!< in xcx that is basically a >!telethia!<. How does that fit? Will they somehow fit xcx’s universe with the trilogy’s universe? Like it’s just confusing to think about, esp when i think about elma in xc2 dlc.

(didn't know what flair to use) Saw all the hype the new game triggered that I wanted to get a taste of the saga, ive already played Chronicles 2 (like 2 hours?) in a friend's house but never get really into it. But after the Hype and analizying how the entire saga is in the Switch I thought I might give it a go since I can choose between all of them.

The voice sounded very familiar to me but I couldn't place who it was. Kept getting KH or FE vibes from it. I think it could possiby be Damien Haas, who played male Shez in FEW3H. However, the information I found on his agency was different to Caitlin Glass.

Spoilers for XC2 and Splatoon’s history

Splatoon came from a world where Earth was ravaged by war, and Xenoblade came from a world where Earth was caught in an interstellar war.

They sound so similar that it prompted a theory: what if they took place in the same world? Please note that I’ve only played 2 so I don’t have exactly super credible evidence but just hear me out

Maybe while everything involving the Beanstalk was going on, WWV was happening below, which is what prompted Klaus to use the Conduit. People got sucked across dimensions except the judds, the people in Alterna, and maybe the people in Octo Canyon, although the people there died quickly.

This theory is pretty bad and has very little evidence to back it up but what do you guys think
