I'm just curious, in the 90s my dad was big into our local punk scene and mentioned that he wore black and white checkered laces with his doc Martin's. I don't know much about the lace code so I was hoping someone could let me know what those laces meant
I want to learn more about Mel Cheplowitz and his Shredder Records label. There seems to be little to no information about him on the webs. Those Shreds compilations were such an integral part of my youth and shaped my music tastes and attitude for the rest of my life. What's this guy's story?
Could someone help me find out the name of this band? Reddit is perfect for this. The video has better audio, but my English doesn't help. At least know the lyrics to the song...
Link Surf Film - Minute 23:00.
Some time in the mid-90s a Smiths cover comp came out. I think it may have been all or mostly east coast hardcore and/or emo bands, maybe punk bands, I don’t remember. I didn’t like The Smiths back then but I do now. Was anyone in here listening to lots of obscure 7”s and comps in the 90s?
Could you help me find out the name of this band? It's stoner rock in the same vein as Tumbleweed and Monstrous Blues....
Cheers and beers...
