I have gone on the record numerous times for saying I'd prefer improving our depth at numerous position groups this year over drafting a QB. But, if we don't see a turn around under the new interim head coach and keep our high draft pick and would decide to pick a QB (as opposed to sticking with the young QBs at least for now)...who do you think would be a good pick and why? Personally, watching the LSU game tonight, I wanna mention I'm impressed with some of the stuff I've seen from Milroe.
I know he’s young and it’ll be 2026ish when he declares for the draft, but Demario should be retiring at the same time he declares and Whit is a DAWG!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sophomore MLB play at this level ever. Ik this is far away and the last of our worries, but Honkey Badger on the saints is now on the wish list for me. What do y’all think?
Are there any places to park close by the stadium that does not charge $50? We're just two dudes so willing to make around 20 minute one way walk.
I don't remember if this was available at Tulane Stadium or a premium giveaway at an ESSO gas station but my sister and I both had one of these. We definitely played with them which is why mine is not in pristine shape but it's got some vintage appeal with the big chin Saint, the "Humble Oil and Refining Co." text and the ESSO tiger.
Okay so I'm an Atlanta Falcons fan, I've been one since I was 11 (17 now) I know I'm probably not supposed to be here but hear me out, I never really understand why our fans despise each other, I've been to Mercedes Benz stadium once at week 3 of the 2018 season, all but one of the Saints fans I've met were chill as hell, hell I even took a photo with this one Saints fan who probably spent over $800 on his outfit, but yeah overall most of them didn't give me any issues at all.
Had the whole team throwing up the X against Cincinnati in 2018 lol
It's well known in Saints lore and yore that the Dolphins passed on signing Brees because of concern about his bounce back from injury and whether he A. return to his form and B. not physically deteriorate in a couple years. And thus the Saints signed him instead.
Had the Dolphins signed Brees, I'd be curious if folks thought about what would have happened then? Aaron Brooks was only released after the signing of Brees. And picking #2 in the draft, would the Saints have kept Brooks and drafted Bush, or drafted Vince Young?
Worth noting that other prominent QBs in free agency included Jon Kitna, Jeff Garcia, and Josh McCown - none of whom would have been long-term "the guy" but could have been a bridge.
Additionally I think that any notion that the Saints would trade down and pick a QB (Cutler/Leinart) - only 1 of which would have almost certainly panned out better than Young - isn't a realistic consideration given the estimation of Young coming out of college by NFL scouts (despite the warning signs like his awful Wonderlic).
It's worth considering - could Payton have reformed Brooks or was he basically checked out? While general consensus nowadays is that Jeff Fischer hated Vince Young and sabotaged his development, can we be certain he would have been that much better? Would the franchise have continued its struggles and keep topping out as a middling squad at-best?
Could be a moment or a decision. I think a single moment has to be the Minneapolis Miracle or the DPI no call, while a decision has to be us passing on Brees in 06.
I ask because I popped in Madden 18 since I don’t have shit for games at my parents and had completely forgotten about Delvin Breaux. It got me thinking if our medical staff hadn’t arguably ruined Breaux’s career, we would have had prime Lattimore and Breaux through at least the end of Brees on top of Marcus Williams and Vaccaro/Bell. We wouldnt have had to rely on bum ass Eli Apple and could have been even more dominant in turnovers. Maybe the edge we needed against both Minnesota and the Rams in 17-18.
Admittedly broad question but what do yall think?
I was expecting to be able to watch the Saints/Falcons game tomorrow but there is nothing there. Also the titans don’t play until 4? What gives?
Should I be excited. I’ve been to 3 games this year and they lost them all so IDK lol
Y’all….listen to this. Darren R introduced WARMING UP AND STRETCHING before games because the Saints have not been doing that. INJURY after INJURY and they haven’t been doing warmups? I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this. 😭🥹🤣
Not only do we not need to take a quarterback this year we need to trade back so that we have an extra first next year to make a move on one of these two.
Saints fan has constantly urged the coaching staff to move Baun to be an Edge Rusher due to his poor coverage ability over his career as an ILB. Tyrann Matthieu also said he wanted to see Baun be “unleashed” as an Edge Rusher when he left the Saints.
He signs with the Eagles this offseason as an ILB. He now has the second highest coverage grade amongst all LBs only behind Fred Warner halfway through the season. A pretty significant sample size.
I don’t really watch film so can someone explain to me why he failed in New Orleans? Was it scheme or did he randomly improve over the summer?
Does anybody get flashbacks to the 7-9 years with Brees and Payton while watching burrow and this bengals team? Dude is putting up mvp numbers for absolutely nothing.
Watching this game has me thinking back to the good ole days…..
Hey guys. I’m going to the hate week game on Sunday and am looking for cheap/free parking. Y’all got any tips?
We have to get our shit together.
Front office on down. Loomis needs to go to.
Why wouldn't we stack more draft picks?
Come on.
Pull the band-aid off and rebuild with picks.
Just got fired but I live by the 24 hour rule. #levlzz. Gotta keep chopping wood
I was always curious what Saints fan thought of Reggie Bush? Do you consider him a bust? He was my favorite player and I'm not even a Saints fan. Remember him in USC and all the hype. And I liked him as a person too.
He is by far the worst fit for New Orleans. He immediately resorts to tearing down his teammates the second his team starts losing and you want to bring him in during a full rebuild?!? Not only that Deion is going to be causing so much BS if Shadeur is winning immediately. Bro will be a worse locker room cancer than DA ever was and he's not even top 4 in this qb class. Please put all that energy into Cam Ward or wait for Arch Manning next year
Hello guys, so basically I'm a Washington fan and I wanted to ask about Lattimore. I know he was a beast but I really haven't watched much Saints football in the last 2 years. So are we still getting a top5 corner or? Thank you in advance.
