A Wife’s Observation

My wife saw the all white unis for the first time & immediately said it looks like a bunch of Q-Tips running around. Now I can’t unsee it! 😂

Green Bay Packers Eliminated From Division Championship?

Doing some quick math, Green Bay is behind Detroit and Minnesota by 2 games with 3 games to go. Because Minnesota and Detroit play each other the last game of the season, Green Bay, at best, will be end up tied with Minnesota or Detroit and Green Bay will finish with no more that 3 divisional wins. While the winner of the Minnesota and Detroit game will finish with no fewer than 4 divisional games.

I believe the only path forward for Green Bay to win the division is for them the to win out, Minnesota and Detroit to lose their next two games and for Minnesota and Detroit to tie in the last game of the season.

Does that seem correct?

What's up with that hit on Ryan Wright?

Was it just me or did anyone else feel like the bears were trophy hunting in this one? I thought the hit to Jefferson's legs looked bad, O'Neil took three super low hits below the knee, just seemed to be numerous in this game. I'm happy we didn't have any serious injuries. *Edit spelling

Tonight Kevin O'Connell became the 1st Vikings head coach since Bud Grant to lead multiple 12+ win seasons

Grant had 4, while Green, Childress and Zimmer each had 1.

The Official Correct Sam Darnold Take

There are 3 scenarios for how the Vikings proceed after this season regarding the quarterback position.

Scenario 1: The Vikings lose in any round of the playoffs.

Sam Darnold will hold a special place in all of our hearts. Oh what a fun year it’s been. Remember the expectations? And then how it actually played out? Oh what a fun year it’s been. But it’s time to move on to JJ McCarthy. This team can succeed when there’s money to go around, and we have an opportunity to build something sustainable with the kid. All love for Sam Darnold but he hasn’t taken us anywhere that we haven’t been before. The future is bright.

Scenario 2: The Vikings win the Super Bowl.

This is the most fun one. If the Vikings win the Super Bowl we pay Sam Darnold 14 billion dollars over infinity years. He’s the starting quarterback as long as he wants and as long as he is alive. He is crowned the King of Minnesota and is declared to be above the law.

Scenario 3: The Vikings lose in the Super Bowl.

This is where things get interesting. Yes, the Vikings have been there before, but for many of us not in our lifetime. There are legitimate arguments here for either side, especially depending on how Sam plays throughout this run. Me personally, I would be happy to blindly ride with Kwesi’s decision in this very specific scenario. However this is the scenario in which spirited debate is encouraged and appreciated throughout the offseason. At least once our bodies and minds recover from all the spirits it will take to get over how close we came.

Darnold as AI Winter Warrior

Did anyone at the game get a good picture of the AI generated pic of Darnold as a Winter Warrior? It was pretty badass.

I really do hope Sam Darnold is a Viking next year, regardless of what plays out.

I actually think we just might win the Super Bowl, if the chips fall right.

And by the way, I'm all for JJ McCarthy, but he is literally 21 years old.

You don't even get your "man strength" by that age.

He was 17 his senior year in hs. And 4 yrs later, he is still underaged, except now it's the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers sat for 3 yrs. Steve Young was a backup for 6 years.

Idc what they give him (40-50 mil) a year, just give him 2-3 years (at least) to keep this train going.

Darnold performance

Very suprised how inaccurate he was tonight. As well as how he wasn’t looking for Addison and Jj as much as last week. Offense was at its best that way

Your daily reminder that Nick Swardson's 15-2 prediction is still on track and he's the most accurate pre-season predictor of the Vikings season thus far.
