Newborn Baby Gear

Hi folks,

I am going to be dad to a newborn boy with the start of this season. What are some great items to pick up for the little man to start feeling the spirit of a “Colt”?

Colts fans have seen some great running backs over the years like Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James and Jonathan Taylor.

Good/Bad Interactions with Colts Players

Has anyone had any notable good/bad interactions with Colts players they’ve met out in public or in the wild somewhere? Saw a similar thread in ask Reddit for celebrities and have always been curious about how some of the players are off the field.

What's Missing?

With the Kwitty option picked up, our 2024 roster is all but set in stone.

This is the happiest I've ever been with Ballard. I loved our core last year and love that we retained that core of players. I feel like the doubtful fans are underestimating how much improvement can be seen in this young, talented core in year 2 of an incredible coach like Steichen, running an offense that seems calculated and effective.

I see and hear all of the concern with our secondary and agree it's our weak point. Yes, I would have loved to see a FA signing like Justin Simmons or a CB pick that could come in with some impact year one. On the other hand, I feel more confident in Moore, Brents (if he's healthy), Jones, Flowers, Blackmon, Thomas and Cross than ever. We will get torched some games, but I believe we can be more stable, especially with the potential QB pressure Latu could add to the D Line.

Offense feels like the same exciting one as last year. If AR could hang around the level he played at against the Rams for a season, our weapons will have every opportunity in the world to shine.

Personally, I feel really excited and mostly confident about the upcoming season. The Texans look scary enough to sweep us with their additions. The Titans always feel dismissible, but as we saw in the OT game 2 last season, we can F around and let them stay in a game. The Jags honestly just feel like we are dialing in on their number. I could see us sweeping or splitting with Jacksonville this season.

What do you guys think and feel? With sober hindsight, what's a move you REALLY think we fumbled on making or not making? What weakness is going to be exploited the most against us this year? How many wins will we finish with?

Outside of the division, our schedule looks pretty tough. I think a 10 win season could look something like this:

(I'm obviously making up the order we play everyone until the schedule comes out)

@ Titans - W

@ Jets - W

vs Jags - L

vs Lions - L

vs Steelers - W

@ Pats - W (Germany)

@ Broncos - W (I'll be attending)

@ Texans - L

@ Vikings - L

vs Dolphins - L

@ Packers - L (I'll be attending with my Cheesehead Brother)

vs Titans - W

vs Bears - W

@ Jags - W

@ Giants - W

vs Bills - L

vs Texans - W

K Paye’s 5th year option

There’s no way the colts don’t pick up Kwity’s 5th YO. At around 13mil, how do they decline it? He hasn’t been a phenom, but he’s certainly played above avg, IMO. Besides, having another year on his contract at the ~13 mil mark would be more enticing for potential trade partners next offseason, should the colts look to move him. Thats not bad for an edge.

And since they haven’t already declined it, you’d have to assume they are trying to work out an extension, right?

Going to the draft?

Has anyone ever been to the nfl draft? With it in Green Bay next year and my dad and little brother being huge packers fans, we’re thinking about going. Is it worth going? How hard is it to sit with fans of your team? They would want to sit with packers and me with colts. We’re also planning on going to the colts @ packers game this year too.

Colts draft experience

I have seen a few clips now of other teams and damn they all seem so tense and awkward when drafting. Whereas we are clearly very experienced and relaxed. I think we drafted pretty well and have a clear strategy in place even without going for CB1. Clearly trust the guys they have and we will have to see how that goes...
