My childhood best friend and I are coming to the Bama game to celebrate both our 30th birthdays with our wives. We've never been to a game at Death Valley and are excited to make the most of it. Looking for a great pregame experience. Is anyone willing to host us at your tailgate? Planning on bringing our own booze and are willing to contribute financially, etc...we just want to do the LSU experience right. DM me if you're willing to have us. Geaux Tigers!
Going to my first game at death valley next weekend. Absolutely ecstatic we got the night slot. Please let me know any must go to’s and any tailgate options. GEAUX TIGERS BABY
keep it up boys 🫡
Could be time
Coming down from Canada for the Bama game next weekend. First time at Tiger Stadium and apparently I bought a ticket in one of the visitor sections (631). Should I look into getting a seat in another section? Any other gameday tips appreciated 🙏
I know we don't "need" Underwood and Meadows. But to keep them would be a huge win for BK. I feel this would be similar to UGA and Smart. Once we get top 3, we can stay there annually.
Class rankings and stars don't always line up results wise. But they're definitely indicative of how successful a coach and program are in the eyes of top recruits.
Hey, LSU fam!
My friends and I are visiting for the LSU-Alabama game, and we’re super excited to experience the game day atmosphere. We’ll be wearing purple to support the Tigers!
We’re looking for some great tailgating spots and would love to join a tailgate if anyone is open to having us. Any recommendations or invites would be greatly appreciated!
Geaux Tigers!
Does anyone know when the conference schedule typically gets released?
Looking to finally make the trip across the pond to BR next year, trying to get flights booked asap!
Just found this on YouTube today searching up Nuss. I love the editing and the thumbnail is hilarious! This made me get a little bit of more hope for the bama game too!
Where are the best spots to go after a game to either keep watching football or just to have a good time
I need some help. If LSU manages to win out, it's still possible that LSU makes the SECCG. I've come up with a few scenarios where that happens, but one of them gets complicated due to a four-way tie and I need help figuring out who would advance. The SEC published their tiebreaking rule for determining who advances to the conference championship here: https://www.secsports.com/news/2024/08/sec-announces-football-tie-breaking-process. Here's what I have so far, from most straightforward to least:
TAMU: 8-0; LSU: 7-1 (loss to TAMU); UGA: 7-1 (loss to Bama)
Tiebreaker 1 - Head-to-Head: N/A
Tiebreaker 2 - Common Opponents b/t UGA & LSU:
TAMU: 8-0; LSU: 7-1 (loss to TAMU); Tenn: 7-1 (loss to Ark)
Tiebreaker 1 - Head-to-Head: N/A
Tiebreaker 2 - Common Opponents b/t Tenn & LSU:
Tiebreaker 1 - Head-to-Head:
* I think this is how the head-to-head tiebreaker works. Not sure if this system contemplated resolution based on a four-way tie, but I think because of how this configuration shakes out, I think we end up with a UGA/Texas rematch.
Tiebreaker 1 - Head-to-Head:
Here's where I'm totally lost. Tennessee has no head-to-head matchups with any of these teams, so how do we fit them in? My guess is that we go to Tiebreaker 2 with Texas, since they're at the top of the other three (presumably):
Tiebreaker 2 - Common Opponents b/t Tenn & Texas:
Tiebreaker 3 - Record against best common opponent:
** I think this ends up being the correct result because with Tennessee winning the tiebreaker with Texas, they become first in the standings, making the order 1. Tenn, 2. Texas, 3. TAMU, 4. LSU.
I can't help but feel like I'm missing something, though. Can someone smarter than me check my work? Is this just what we have to look forward to from now on with a 16-team conference and no divisions?
EDIT: Looks like I've got my answer here: With SEC Tiebreakers, 7-1 Texas A&M and LSU could make the SEC championship over 7-1 Georgia and Texas, despite H2H results. : r/CFB
Went to my first LSU game last year on a work trip (can check my history for proof), going to back down in BR for week of Alabama game. Anybody have experience buying tickets on day of game?
Trying to stay around 150-200 per ticket which I know is a big ask with bama in town, but does anyone have any recommendations for buying day of?
I haven't been to an LSU home game in a few seasons, but I've been to some games at some of our rivals' stadiums and have noticed a lot of schools now allow what I'll call corporate tailgates. Usually clustered together, you'll see tents with banners that say "John's Real Estate Brokerage" or "Local Public Policy Foundation" or "Bill's Concrete". At a UT game this season I even saw Halliburton had set up a tent.
I was wondering if LSU has anything like this going on, and if so, where it is on campus?
Who’s the next LSU coach? Please don’t say lane kiffin.
Are you guys cool with 3 or 4 losses every year ?
That’s what it’s going to be .
LSU has never been known for its QB's. With the exception of Matt Flynn, Jamarcus Russell, and maybe Matt Mauck the talent at quarterback through the 2000's and 2010's was just okay. Jordan Jefferson, Jarrett Lee, Zach Mettenberger, Brandon Harris, Anthony Jennings, and Danny Etling spanned the 2009-2017 seasons.
I will take Nussmeier over every one of those Quarter backs with the exception of seeing if Danny Etling could beat him for the job.
This fan base has been spoiled with 2 heisman winning quarterbacks. One of which had the greatest college team ever assembled, and the other carrying a good team to the SEC championship game.
Nussmeier is a good QB
Amazing play! End of game touchdown pass after lots of scrambling. It was beauty.
To be honest Im not to high on Nuss. It’s been what? 5 years? 3 picks back to back isn’t a good look especially with your dad being a pro QB coach. I know alotta people love Nuss for his loyalty & thats great, but truth be told we not winning a Natty with him having the Keys…next year i think Kelly will have all his recruits in & we’ll really see what the BK era holds…until then lets just get 10 wins i guess…
What do you guys think, who takes the spot Georgia V.S Ole Miss or Bama V.S LSU game?
Disappointed isn’t the word
Fun fact, a field goal is a scoring play where the offensive team kicks the ball through the opponent’s goalposts. A field goal earns the team 3 points. The kick must travel between the upright posts and above the crossbar for the points to count. Make sure you pass the message along to your kicker and make sure he pays attention to the game next time!
