Came across this funny clip from the official Myron Cope channel!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but historically Smiths scheme doesn't utilize much in the way of slot WRs and on top of that relies on good run blocking to make the engine go, so I'm wondering why 3 WRs in particular were on the 30 visit list
Tahj Washington- Tiny WR who can't do much from a run blocking standpoint and likely projects in slot???
Ricky Pearsall - looks like a tremendous as a slot, but we need a tougher outside WR, not helpful run blocking so you'd think he'd be valued by other teams
Malachi Corely- tiny and does nothing to replace DJs route running
I don't get it, I'd think all would be valued greater in just about every other scheme???
2 more points on WR
AD Mitchel is incredibly overrated, inconsistent, and I think his percieved potential overall is unlikely to be sniffed. He's got disappointment written on him almost as much as limas sweed. I wouldn't consider him until round 3.
There are the top 4 WRs, big gap, Wilson, Colmen, Ladd and Pearsall small gap then after that there are 10-15 similarly valued guys you can still get in 3rd/4th
Got this cool unopened beer from Iron City beer with some of the iconic Steelers players through the years. Only been a Steelers fan for about 8 years as I'm originally from Scotland but live in Tennessee now. Sure most of yinz have seen or own this but thought I'd share it 🟡⚫
He is all in on Pittsburgh and an all around athlete. I just hope he’s also studying tape…
I had this happen before where the dolphins wanted minka
Thoughts?

Who was the hardest receiver sauce Gardner Had to cover? https://www.instagram.com/reel/C56BDJrgY3B/?igsh=ZDAyMjNka2l5OGxx (sidenote, when we drafted this receiver core, Ipersonally thought Calvin would be better than GP despite his stature)
Big Ben drops back in the pocket, and is immediately hunted by a free running db on a blitz. Ben takes what I can only describe as a jab step directly at the defender, and the defender falls on his ass. Basically, he broke a db’s ankles, but stayed in the pocket after. Does anyone remember this play?
I’m 90% sure the other team was the dolphins, and I remember the blitzer coming from ben’s right

Lots of mixed opinions but this is the one year where I don’t know what the 1st round selection wll be, Obviously think RT,WR2,C,Slot CB are the biggest concerns. Imo Steelers may take BPA at 20 and let the draft board fall how it is afterwards. Everyone is arguing over C and RT but there are two guys Tomlin likes a lot not saying it’s a good thing but he does and they are Spencer Anderson and Dan Moore. Moore could be moved to RT and Broderick back to LT, Anderson very well could be our center if the board doesn’t fall correctly for them also makes sense why they haven’t urged to sign anyone till this day. Not saying I like this but it’s a possibility, Anderson also fits the bill for Smith’s offense as well. I guess we’ll see soon

I have a memory of a random play from 2004 or 2005 that I am wondering if it actually happend.
It was a normal game on a normal play, Ben drops back to pass, no one is open and he begins to run down field.
Ward sees this, breaks off his route and runs back toward the line of scrimmage.
So Ben and Ward are running towards each other. A defender is running right behind Ben and is about to make a tackle.
Ward being Ward wants to block the hell of that SOB but the problem is Ben is between them. He heads straight for them....Ben notices this crazy wild reciever about to tackle HIM and has to jump out of Wards way. Complete with a WTF? Look on his face.
Ward ends up pancaking the defender and Ben gets some more yards.
Does anyone remember this random play from 20 years ago???
That triple take was freighting.
This is a very interesting write up from a poster on SteelersFury named Bradshaw2Ben. He put a ton of work into his analysis. If you have a lil time check it out as there are some good players out there who didn't go to a Div 1 football program.
