Hey man, we're getting the band back together
Title
They held off paying him and now they are so screwed. Either they pay him what he's worth or even someone like me will not love the franchise anymore. I'll more or less just stop watching pro football. The Brown's gambled that they could get a better deal and all they did was make it impossible for them not to just throw all the money at him.
Sure it's embarrassing to be a fan of such a terribly run organization but at least you can laugh at how terribly run it can be from time to time.

Been following this account which was sharing insider information last year. Seems as though they are back with even more information. They accurately shared legit information days in advance so far. (Daniel Jones to the Vikings, Eberflus firing, etc.)
Looks like they are sharing some information about our beloved Bengals and Joe. Sounds like there is a chance heads do roll after the season. Especially if Joe wants them to and they are willing to do what he wants.
Gotta find someway to laugh at the pain this season has caused. And maybe the Simpsons will make me laugh as we either win a meaningless game or make Cooper Rush look like a MVP candidate.
70 points at least. Could they get to 80?
I feel like most of you who think trying to start a boycott will do anything are newer fans.
There have been plenty of years with empty seats. Kroger would even buy enough tickets so the games would be on TV.
There have been plenty of years where the Bengals had the lowest or near lowest merch sales.
Guess what? It didn't do anything. And it won't do anything.
Despite conventional wisdom, making money isn't a high priority for the Bengals.
This part will get me downvoted. The families top priority is to win. Unfortunately, they don't know how while thinking they do.
They truly think only having a few scouts and reading national scouting reports is enough.
Being loyal to their employees is on the same tier to them as winning is. Even when their loyalty is detrimental to winning.
To finish: They don't care about money. They care about winning. They don't run it as a business. They're way too loyal. They think they know what they're doing. They don't know how to win. Duke Tobin will be here for as long as he wants to. Zac Taylor will be here until his contract runs out AT LEAST. Boycotting will do nothing.
I've seen this many times. Now that it really doesn't matter, and they are basically out of the Playoffs. Not saying they can't make the playoffs by some miracle or that I want them to miss the playoffs. The Bengals will start winning. They will win just enough for the Bengals Organization to say "See we are on the right track. We just need to make some tweaks." Instead of making the major changes that are needed.
The Bengals have 9 individual 200+ yard games against the Steelers, Browns and Ravens (3 against each team). No Steeler, Brown or Raven has ever had a 200+ yard receiving game against the Bengals.
Ja'Marr Chase has more 200+ yard games against the Ravens (2) than the Ravens have in their entire history (1 in 464 games)
I have heard a lot about "The Patriot Way". They were able to sustain two incredible decades when combined with a all-world quarterback.
While not Tom Brady, Joe Burrow is certainly a generational quarterback. But we seem to be counting on "The Bengals Way" to sustain our success.
Some of our most diehard fans are on this subreddit. I would love to know how they would describe "The Bengals Way".
I am really trying to find some hope in all of this.
lol

So yeah, just win, it’s still very possible to make the playoffs, there are no crazy upsets, things will fall in place if we just win.
I’m die hard. Have watched every snap for 20 years. It got me thinking - in any other consumer relationship, if an organization stops giving me what I want (or at least the appearance of trying) then I move on or stop giving them my business. Ever since I’ve watched through the Blake/Kitna/Palmer/Dalton/Burrow years, the organization has proven time and again to be cheap. They care more about money and less about winning than I do. At what point do I speak in the only language they seem to care about and boycott my viewership, memorabilia purchasing, etc.? If a big enough movement happens, would it make a difference? Embrace debate.
I know there’s an issue with his health and missing too many games, but I still don’t like the feeling of him leaving the Bengals because he’s basically another WR#1 honestly. What do you guys think the Bengals should do with him?
I know it's likely not high but I don't really care, I'm just done with this season
Mind you this year has sucked, and the Brown’s + front office do share a lot of blame, however this narrative where Burrow should demand a trade and the Bengals are ruining him is growing tired. I do not see this sentiment anywhere else when teams shit the bed. Even the Browns or Jets don’t get dragged through mud as much as us.
From a cap perspective I think we have the 20th most cap space, plus the highest paid Qb etc. So money is being spent. Front office does make stupid decisions, but I feel that happens across the board.
Niners are having a shit season and probably just ended McCaffrey's career by force feeding him in the snow after being sidelined all year with tendinitis yet you will never see the media mention that.
Or even the Jags with Lawerence. Where are the calls for him to demand a trade?
There are obvious things that need to change like a bigger scouting department, so if we do let Bates and Reader walk we can draft better and develop replacements. To me that is the biggest glaring issue as well as being loyal to a fault in regard to midseason changes. Regardless of all that I feel the club is still getting punished for the 90s sins. The Jets have been just as bad as the 90s Bengals since like 2011 yet where is all the rhetoric pointed in their direction. It’s just frustrating how much the media shits on the Bengals constantly.
Yes the Bengals need to modernize but I feel there are a lot worse run teams in the NFL.
