I've seen the highlights, ol Jefferson looks mean as hell and I've been enjoying watching yall, but I know next to nothing about them purple boys, If anyone got time to catch me up to speed, I'd appreciate it. I'm a die hard texans fan for what it's worth.
I still don't understand how they call Bynum down at the 1 yard line after that INT.
Even if you want to argue he had a knee down at the 1 and momentum carried him into the end zone, he didn't give himself up. If he was a receiver diving backwards for a ball and caught the ball at the 2 but momentum carried him back to the 5 yard line where he was touched down, there's not a chance he would be down at the 2.
I've watched it 10 times, that play should be a touch back. Am I crazy here? If Bynum didn't get touched by the Jags WR he could have continued the play as far up the field until he was tackled or touched down.
Is it just as simple as forward momentum?
Good or bad he’s no longer a Viking, please shut up or go post on a different sub.
What does that say.
The league has noticed what’s worked. It’s the coaching at this point. TWELVE POINTS AGAINST THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. You can meow and cry and make excuses. It’s clear something’s wrong. How the fuck many turnovers is it going to take?
And the second half just started.
With 2 or 3 minutes left in the 4th, it’s 3rd and 1 and we have the ball—why did he call a play action pass? Why aren’t we running the ball down their throats in that situation? Our run game was pretty good today.
Thing with KOC is this definitely is not the first time he’s managing the game poorly with less than 4 minutes to go. Love his creativity, what he brings to the organization, the culture he’s created, etc. This is something he’s gotta fix when we’re in our window.
Would love to see the Texans play well through the rest of the game. Would be a nice lions hate watch.
Defense played lights out. Romo hit all 4 of his attempts Offense controlled the entire game
Yeah Darnold was off the mark today but he made enough plays when needed.
Fun game to watch and a big big win. Love how the team played complimentary football today.
7-2. Gotta beat Chicago next
I didn’t watch the game and his name isn’t in the stat line.
Darnold needs to make better and quicker decisions.
I like KOC but sometimes he has some real head scratching play calls. Specifically thinking of the double reverse call on 1st and 10 in scoring position in the 4th. The play netted -7 yards and we ended up kicking a field goal. I can’t think of the last time I’ve seen the double reverse sweep do well in a game. Defenses are too fast now and that was just KOC trying to be cute at the wrong time.
The other instance was 3rd and 1 on our last drive, before the kneel down drive. Called a play action pass in an obvious run situation and we took a sack putting us out of field goal range.
I notice this happening quite a bit during games and it’s frustration to see. No one is perfect but still…
Anyone else think it's hilarious how arif and Luke like belittled the one guy on that podcast that said he needed to see more from darnold before he considered him a good qb. Them two just think they are the gods of football analysis
Looks like he has some old recruitment footage from his High School days.
Going into the season, most sports books put our over / under at 6.5 wins.
We just hit it!
Hasn’t always been pretty, but look at us go
Todays game reminds me of the win (1988 or 1989) when we beat the Rams 23-21 in OT. We kicked seven FGs (Karlis) and then in OT, we won on a safety with a blocked punt (so no TDs). In the postgame interview, Burns flipped his lid and went into meltdown history at the same time. Would love to see KOC try his hand at acting like this. ;).
i am genuinely curious what we are missing as a team and why we let games get so close and basically fumble them away…. we have so many offensive weapons and such great coaches, yet we constantly shoot ourselves in the feet.
what are we missing? what are we not doing right? in comparison to say, the lions, what differences are there and why are they so successful and dominant and were barely getting by?
I'm excited to see what JJ will do next year and beyond.
