Help me decide
Choosing between two 2024 BMW 330i xDrive’s
1st is Grey with beige interior, 7k miles and under an unlimited mile warranty until 2029 -$42k
2nd is black on black with 18k mile and under warranty for 2 more years or 50k miles -$37k
Color wise I much prefer the black on black however the warranty has me questioning my decision. I drive probably 20k miles a year so having the car under warranty until 2029 with unlimited miles is a huge plus.
Is the warranty worth the extra money and not getting the color I want?
Appreciate any help
Hey! I need to buy a new car fast and have no idea what I’m doing and how not to get ripped off. Can someone give me some tips?
I want something that will last a while and be low maintenance. Fuel efficient would be great. Needs to be able to kind of drive in the snow but I guess snow tires can go on any vehicle? I normally have had Subaru which have been great, I guess? But I don’t really know how to compare. Used car under $20,000. Tips? I had a partner in the car industry who normally helped me with this process so I’ve never just gone to a dealership to buy one. You just walk in and pick one? Or research who in town has the exact car you want? HELP PLEASE
I’ve never purchased a car out of state. Salesman said they would send all the paperwork to get vehicle registered in IL. he said they will call me when the plates come into the dealer. I just think that’s kind of weird. I’ve never had plates go to the dealer. They’ve always been mailed directly to me. also wondering if I’m supposed to go to my local DMV and ask him about sales tax difference. I got an invoice from the dealership, but I don’t technically know if that’s considered a bill of sale.
I was quoted $30,500 out the door for a 2025 Civic Hatchback Sport (MSRP $27,950, local tax 9.5%). Is this a fair deal, or should I shop around? It’s my first car purchase, and I plan on pretty much keeping it till it dies.
I hate to say it but l'm not sure if there's some bias at play with this used dealer due to me being a woman or if the car really is a solid deal worth a bit more.
Or... if they just very much want more money regardless of what's in my pants. (With that being said I definitely drag my brother everywhere anyway lol)
Sticker price is $19.6k for a used 2018 Camaro 1LT, 28k miles. Clean title, two minor fender benders listed. I test drove the car, checked fuel trims, and other obvious/not so obvious details of the car best to my ability. No OBD reads came up either.
With my current budget and pre-approval, l'm attempting negotiation for 3k down and 17k financed. The dealership definitely wants more out of me and I'd like to know just how far I should budge for this deal.
If I manage to negotiate that rate, I'll be $420 monthly payment for 48 months with $3.2k total interest accrued in that time. My credit isn't the best, I have a co-signer that helped.
While my credit is rebuilding from struggles in the past, my financial/career situation is sound. The estimated insurance also fits within my budget. I've always wanted a Camaro and wanted to see how those more experienced and knowledgable feel about the price and mileage. Be brutally honest I'm trying not to let my wants cloud my better judgement lol.
Should I pull the trigger or keep looking for better deals?
Looking for a facelift LS 430 in the Northern GA area, and I’m a first time buyer so hard to finance, especially on something older. A buy-here-pay-here place wants 10,850 cash or 12,850 financed for one in good condition with 146k.
Also, does the finance price include interest or will they try to screw me even more?
Hey everyone! I’m in the market for a used SUV in Canada, and my budget is around $10k. I’m looking for something reliable, with decent mileage (preferably under 150,000 km), and good for Canadian winters. Ideally, it should also be cheap to maintain and have decent fuel efficiency.
So far, I’ve been considering older models like the Honda CR-V or the Mazda CX-5 but I’m open to other suggestions. If you’ve owned or driven any of these (or others in this price range), I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Im looking at some F150s on cars.com and there are some that are already showing 14k off with various discounts. Is this price just the start of negotiations ? I also called one dealer and without me saying anything they stated "We dont negotiate on price, the price is the price"
I want my next car to be a car I have for a long time since I simply abhor the dealership experience. I’ve had two Jeep GC Limited; both gave me no issues and offered a pleasurable driving experience, but I’ve read/heard their long term reliability isn’t great, so I’m ready for something new.
I’ve been eyeing the Land Cruiser and Lexus GX550, but those two seem to be nearly non-existent inventory-wise in my area. I test drove the LC First Edition and was slightly disappointed with the drive feeling kinda gritty and pretty loud cabin noise; I loved everything about the exterior and interior aesthetics though. The sticker price makes zero sense to me, but the residual value it holds is attractive. Hoping to test drive the GX in the next couple of weeks and was also looking at 4Runners, but again, 4Runners are far and few right now.
Are there other brands/models I should consider? I’ve been looking at LC/4Runner/GX mainly for long term value, reliability and aesthetics (I’m sure majority of the population feels this way, hence the shortages 💀) — flexible with my budget and in no rush to buy yet (my lease is up in May)
Appreciate your time and any and all insights!
Whats the reasonable OTD for brand new 2025 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback? I live in Florida sadly.

here is the link to a demo for the one we made, I would love to hear any feedback from anyone with experience. (sorry if this is improper formatting this is my first time posting here.)
I live in an area where electric vehicles are in high demand. While trying to negotiate the price for a BEV last weekend for my son, The rep had to include their $999 "VIP package". We asked him to remove it, but he wouldn't budge claiming that it was a huge value. He stressed the importance of having lifetime "free oil changes". My son and I looked at each other and started laughing. It took the rep a little bit to realize how stupid his package and his explanation was. We said thank you and walked away, buying the same vehicle 45 minutes later at a dealer 10 miles away.
I need a car with reliability and low maintenance. I’m a mum with 3 kids.. what option do I have with a budget of £5,000 cash.. so far looking at Audi A3( maintenance might be a bit higher), Ford Fiesta or VW golf.. Any suggestions is welcome.. I drive auto only..
My car has been in the shop for about a week and a half after being rear-ended on the highway and the insurance company just got back to me letting me know the car is totaled. I still owed on the car, but thankfully between the value of it and the gap insurance it'll be paid off.
My question is, should I wait for that payment/pay off to actively go through before I go buy a new car or am I all clear to go ahead?
I’m in the market for a 2019–2020 Toyota Sienna. My only dealership experience is from purchasing a new car 15 years ago. I’ve bought used cars from private sellers (with pre-purchase inspections) but never from a dealer. Any advice for buying a used car from a dealership would be greatly appreciated!
A few specific questions:
Thanks in advance!
I'm negotiating on a 2021 Mazda GTR with 63k miles. Kelley Blue book is 17.3 k to 21.3k. I managed to knock them down to 19k and they're offering a comprehensive Zurich warranty plan for 2K.
How is Zurich? People are telling me that Zurich paint is terrible but their insurance is middle of the road. Dealership is currently calling around to see if the warranty would be compatible with my local Mazda dealerships as there are no certified mechanics in Massachusetts for Zurich.
What are your thoughts, is 2K for 5 years comprehensive a good deal?
I'm interested in a car and the owner lost the title. They have done the application and requested a copy of the DMV a couple days ago, but it takes a while to receive the title. Is my only option to wait until they receive the title and then move forward with the purchase, or can we go to a DMV office together and have it transferred another way? I would like to buy the car now basically without having to wait up to 30 days for the title to arrive to him.
I'm not here to debate the merits of tariffs, simply stating the fact that tariffs on imports (specifically Canadian and Mexican imports, and Taiwanese computer components) will very likely increase car prices if they go through, because they are a tax levied on the purchase of those goods and/or their components. What's unknown is whether the tariffs will actually be levied, and how much upward pressure on used car prices they'll create.
"If there are tariffs upwards of 25%, that could add $5,000 to $8,000 to the price of a new vehicle" (story)
We know the pressure on chip prices and the associated supply chain damage of the pandemic caused skyrocketing used car prices as people gave up on new cars.
So my question is; as someone who was planning on buying a used weekend sports car later this year, I have an angel and a devil on my shoulders. One voice says "it's a 4-year old German sports car, wait a year and let someone else eat the last major year of depreciation". The other says "supply chain issues drove used car prices up 30+% the last time around, that 30% is a lot more than you might lose to depreciation. Buy one you can keep for a long time and it won't be an issue."
Anyone else weighing non-essential vehicle purchases this year? What are your thoughts and how are you leaning?
And before anyone jumps up my ass about buying an impractical and unreliable German vehicle, a) my daily is a plugin hybrid domestic hatchback, b) I work from home, and c) I know what I'm doing
there are so many opinions and do’s and don’ts at the dealership anymore I can’t even keep up. I wanna buy a new car here soon and I have a trade in worth anywhere between $12000-15000 but I also wanna put about $8000 down cash. Is there any reason I shouldn’t be very forthcoming about my cash down? This may be coming off more confusing than it is in my head. I’ve just watched many videos of people talking about the dealership being shady with down payments and you shouldn’t unless the bank needs it. My credit won’t necessarily require a down payment from me but I’d like to put the cash down to eat up some interest. Any thoughts advice or opinions are welcome.
Situation: I own a 2018 ram bighorn with 90k miles. It needs tires and brakes. Supposed to get spark plugs at 100k, so over the next year or so it will need about 4k worth of work.
Dad of a 2 year old, mom has an SUV. I am really tempted by the Honda ridgeline. Better gas mileage, Hondas are reliable, great reviews, drives like an suv, etc. Ram has been pretty good so far, nice and roomy but sort of a pain as a daily driver and it's honestly more truck than I need.
I don't tow anything beyond a small fishing boat, take occasional trips to Home Depot and the farm and garden stores and haul trash to the dump. That being said I do really enjoy having a truck. Kid still needs a car seat and we'd ideally have another baby in the next two years or so.
Should I invest in the ram and hold onto it, or consider the ridgeline as my main vehicle given my situation? Ram is paid off but I'm seeing RLs with lower mileage that would basically allow me to do a clean swap with a little cash down, which I can do. What's the move here?
Is toyota camry hybrid le with 127k miles for 11k too much to pay

Hello! When is the best time to buy a car? More specifically what time of the month, if that’s a thing?
My dad’s car is in survival mode and I want to get him something new, but I’m also hoping to get a decent deal on it.
Thank you!!
Hey everyone, I have an opportunity to buy a used 2008 BMW X3 from a colleague. It has 200,000 km on it, and he’s offering it to me for $3,500, which is lower than what he’d sell it for otherwise. The only known issue he mentioned is that it needs an actuator, which he claims will only cost $150 to fix.
The car averages 13L/100km and requires premium gas, but my commute is pretty short—about 12 km one way to work. I’m considering it because the price is hard to beat for a running BMW, but I also know that repairs on these can be a nightmare if something else goes wrong.
Would you guys take the deal or run away? Is the actuator issue something that could be a bigger headache than expected? Appreciate any advice from you!
Hi all! I’m looking at two car options both are the same price (shown as $5998) got them to remove all extras to be 7200 out the door. One is a 2011 Hyundai Elantra with 132k miles and the other is a 2012 Nissan Sentra with 110k miles on it. Both have clean Carfax and good maintenance done to them over the years. I’m torn. Which of the two would be the best deal and more reliable option?
Got approved through Westlake for vehicles $14K or less, planning to put $1000 down, with relatively high apr which I expected. My credit is right at 600 and Im currently rebuilding it but I wonder if I should try financing from dealerships directly?
I finally found BMW that fits withing my budget and has nice look to it. Im woried about the rust underneath and on left side of body.
It looks especially rusted underneath on left side on edges.

$200 off your next purchase or sale.
I’m wanting to buy a truck for $13,000 on Facebook marketplace. The owner needs my cash to pay it off. I have already legit checked his finance company and made sure it’s not possible to do a “payoff for sale” process by calling his finance company. I would A) have to send a check for his payoff and do a bill of sale or some type of contract or B) send him money at meetup, take the truck, do a bill of sale, and wait for title transfer. I’m aware of scams but I really don’t think this is one. Any advice?
