Need help with a stuck wheel bearing bolt.

I’ve got one very stubborn bolt left, which I’m pretty sure I’ve rounded off while trying to remove it. My question is: Can an angle grinder cut through the part that connects it to the hub? If not, how else do I get this bleepety-bleep off?

Sun shade recommendation drivers side 2025 4 Door ?

Does anyone have Recommendations for a drivers side widow sun shade for a 2025 mini 4 door hardtop s? I miss the flip down side shade on my 23 mini and the sun shade is not long enough to shade enough of the drivers side window.

Has anyone ordered a shade through amazon, mini or other that they really liked?

Is my timing chain on the way out?

I’ve been having intermittent engine lights/limp mode for a month or so now (quick restart clears them). I’ve had codes come up about misfires in 2 cylinders twice, but most recently it was P0015 & 2D60, cam position and Vanos system. Few googles searches sending me in a sorts of directions, and I’m crossing my fingers it’s not timing chain, anybody have any ideas/guidance?

Few weird things I’ve noticed about it since I’ve been looking at solutions:

  • ignition coils are 2 different brands,
  • the bolt holding in the front Vanos solenoid is not a 10m bolt like all the guides say

JCW F56 Seat Options

Hi,

I'm currently looking for an F56 (2018+) JCW Mini Hatch.

Looking at some of the adverts out there, I've noticed a couple of the cars are sold with these leather black seats, rather than the JCW bucket seats.

What option would this be when the car was configured? And are these considered a downgrade from the sprotier looking JCW bucket seats? Image below from the ad:

Thanks!

Hot air is puffing out. Is this a problem?

The car started the idle loudly recently. I can feel hot air puffing out of the the char / mesh area.

What’s the damage? Both physical and financial.

All season tires?

Temps are going down in my neck of the woods and I’m planning on getting all season tires for my 2015 mini cooper s.

I’ve read good things about the Michelin cross climate 2 tires. I’m unsure of what size I would need and was hoping for some alternative suggestions in case I have a difficult time sourcing the CC2s.

TIA!

Buying used Cooper SE - any last advise :)?

Hi all,

I am in the market to buy a used Cooper SE in Germany as our second car. It will never leave our village except 1x per week to my office which is 25km away.

So I am looking for a year 2021, 2022 or 2023 with no more than 35.000km I think.

Any good tips of you all on what I should really focus on when it comes to trim or accessories, year or Kilometers driven?

I am 1.93m high - hence a little concerned about the glass roof. But I feel it could be a nice to have, however it will bump the price up by let’s say 2.000 EUR :-(

What do you all think? Please help :)

Anyone figure out how to do the vinyl scratch in the new minis?

Can’t seem to find the Easter egg for the life of me. Or does it not work when playing Apple Music through CarPlay?

Autumn Sundays

Just struck me as quite atmospheric, walking back to the car after a morning coffee.

First MINI!

Well I got this a week ago, it's a 2011 base with 70,100 miles on it. What are some things to be prepared for?

Mini Cooper door won't open even with emergency key

Hi all,

I'm trying to get a family member's 2016 Mini Cooper back on the road after a long period of disuse. The battery is totally and utterly dead. I've tried using the emergency key to unlock the door (something which I've successfully done in the past) but the door simply won't open. The key turns, the toggle inside goes up, but when I pull the handle the door just won't open. I've tried giving it a good old yank but no joy.

Is there an obvious reason for this or could it be something more esoteric like the door being sealed shut with moss (not inconceivable, the car's been sitting unused for almost a year)

Any help would be hot, thanks - at the moment I only need to get to the logbook in the glovebox so I'm reticent to call out the AA, but I feel like I'm falling at the first hurdle haha.

Finally! My Falken A/T Wildpeak tires have arrived.

Let me tell you… the drive home was incredibly smooth, and the traction was impeccable. I love how aggressive they look. They did say the tires would give my Mini Countryman a 4 1/2-inch lift with a wider tread.

Is minicouper a good car for short people?

I am currently teaching my girlfriend to drive in my dodge charger and we are facing the issue of seeing over the wheel, she is 4’10. Right now we just put two blankets folded into squares and stack them on top of eachother so she can sit higher, and this seems to do the trick. However, I could see how this may not be comfortable or sometimes we may forget to bring the blankets when we go out driving. I am suggesting to her that she should buy a minicouper when she gets her license. I know some allow the top to come down, what are other features you love about the mini couper that can help convince my girlfriend to get one.

My car has attachment issues

I’ve got a new U25 Countryman and the damn thing keeps honking at me if I walk even a few feet away while it’s running. I even put the key and my phone back in the car and it still freaked out. Please tell me there’s a way to make this stop.
