2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GPX Power Drivers Seat Not Working

My son's 2007 pontiac grand prix gpx power driver seat is not working when trying to move the seat forward and backwards. I know motor is working and the inside screw is trying to move, but the outside lead screw isn't. I removed the shaft from the motor to the outside lead screw and then reinsterted the shaft and attempted to move the lead screw by using a drill, but it won't move, so it must be stripped out. The issue I am having is the seat is all the way in the backwards position, so I am unable to move the seat forward so I can remove the seat and get at the stripped component. Any ideas on how I might move the seat forward?

2001 grand prix battery issues

i’m sorry if this is a dumb question but i wanted to see what reddit had to say before i took my car in. i’m onto my third battery in less than a year and have no idea what could be causing them to drain to the point where it’s not jumpable. i got the alternator tested and it isn’t that. so i’m just not quite sure what else to look at for the problem? any suggestions are very much appreciated!

2002 pontiac Grand Prix GT

Hi, I got a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT as a work and home driver. It was pretty beat up the kid that had it didn't take care of it. His brother was going to junk yard it until I offered him 1k for it. I got it and have done some maintenance to it new breaks and roatars, new ball bearings new battery, oil change ect, and more to come this month. It has grown on me as something I'd like to keep and fix up. Even after I purchase my new car. I'd like to start with upgrading the engine and making it perform better and quicker. Any suggestions where to start?

GXP brakes on 97-03 GP

I know the GP GXP brakes can be swapped onto 97-03, but can the Bonneville GXP brakes be swapped? I’m assuming they’re the same but not 100% sure

Where are the Sunbirds

I owned a 1979 red Pontiac sunbird hatchback in high school. I know it wasn't a hot rod, but it got me around and (+friends) really enjoyed it. If I look for Sunbirds on eBay or other classic car sales websites it appears the only ones still around are all convertibles, the occasional sedan, and usually from 1990 on up. Am I not looking in the right places, or what gives with early 80s?

First Time Buyer 1995 FireBird

Hello, my GF works in an auto department at a major retailer and was approached by an older couple looking for a battery replacement for said vehicle a red 1995 FireBird. They conveyed to her that the car is their son's who's grown out of the vehicle since he's become more family oriented with children. They stated they'd like to sell the car for 7.5K and I'm not sure if thats a fair price. Relative to the condition, vehicle market, and any other context that would affect the pricing of said vehicle. I haven't been able to see it as i've provided all the informaiton I have currently have as well as a single picture of the car inside a garage. Along with no interior pictures. They provided their full name and contact info so I'm thinking of contacting them soon , but not before asking the informed gentlepeople of reddit. I've gotten some advide online about taking the car to a body shop to have it inspected as well. What do you suggest, given the context, to make the best informed decision? It wouldnt be my first car, but it would be my first full personal purchase.

02 Firebird, 4 speed transmission issue?

So recently when first gear goes to shift into second gear its goes up like 4,200 rpm and its takes like 3-5 seconds for it to shift and it makes like a loud humming noise. But all the other gears shift really around 2,800-3,500 rpm and its super smooth and fast.

Car's got 67k miles and i do believe the transmission fluid is still good, it look red on the dipstick and topped off.

2004-2006 GTO pricing

Hey everyone, I’m in the market for a gto or a c5. Pricing feels kind of crazy right now, what should I expect to pay for a manual clean title in CA. I’ve had 2 people agree to 11/12 k for 110k miles on their cars but they’re red and yellow, the two colors I’m not too fond of. Should I keep looking or is this about normal for these cars? Or is it worth it just to find a similar deal on a c5 vette? Thank you

07 Pontiac GP keeps going limp

I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix (V6 3.8L with about 135K miles) and it keeps going into limp mode after I reset the battery. The only code it’s throwing is U0107 which is for the TAS, so I removed the throttle body and bought cleaner for it and I cleaned it and the air intake sensor (with a separate sensor cleaner) but it’s still throwing the same code. If I reset the battery though, it will start back up and can even drive normally until it decides to go out again seemingly at random. No lights are on the dash before limp but I get a check engine light and a reduced engine power notice on the digital screen after it goes limp. Before I take it to a mechanic I want to see if anyone maybe has another option I should try or any suggestions at all. I’m not big on cars I just know enough to do regular maintenance. I’m pretty sure at this point it’s electrical and I need someone to scan the modules to see which one is faulty/miscommunicating but I could be wrong. Plz help I need to be able to get to work lol

1965 Pontiac LeMans Ragtop

All too often, the LeMans gets the short shrift because the GTO is the GOAT. Sometimes LeManses lose their identities and become GTO clones. Not this one!

2008 Grand Prix engine sluggish once turned off and on after warming up the engine

Hello! I've been having a persistent issue with my 2008 Grand Prix 3.8L for the couple years I have owned it. During this time, the transmission required a rebuild which I got done by the best transmission shop in my area since the car only has 70k miles on it. I got the rebuild done because the transmission was slipping heavily from a stop, and that issue is now fixed and the transmission shifts as smooth as butter 99 percent of the time. For this reason I am ruling out the engine sluggishness being a transmission issue, but I guess it could still be possible.

To describe the problem, I start the engine from cold, and it runs perfectly. If I stop at a store or something and start the car again, occasionally the engine will be very sluggish in the lower gears, but fine in the higher ones. If I turn off the car and turn it back on again it is normal again.

I found a forum post from years ago with the same issue described, but it was never resolved. I think it may have to do with the MAF sensor, but I also did have a code that showed a couple times relating to the throttle position sensor. Let me know if you all have any ideas. I will link the forum below.
