Just added this to my definition the other day. It’s from the evo tephramod launch control (spark cut) ported over to a CVT base model lancer. Not used for launching. Just something more “fun” to add to a boring car. Anyone in AU I can help flash this. I’d be the only one in au with this mod & still the loudest lancer in oz also 😂
I've found a 2015 lancer GT for around 11k, it's got 90k miles and I'm just looking for a cool looking car I might tune/mod in the future. anything I should know, or should I look elsewhere?
Hello, I own a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES that has been having issues where the idle will drop to the first line at idle. I changed the throttle body, maf and have had a motor mount changed on the passenger side but it has not helped at all. Sometimes it shakes bad when coming to a stop and at a red light it also stalls sometimes. The only thing that stops my car from shaking sometimes or having a low idle is when i put it in Neutral. After the car is warm the idle calms down sometimes and sits at its normal rpm but shaking exists
Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to the car modding community and have been highly interested in modding an Evo V.
I'm not sure if this is a really dumb question or not, but will an Evo X engine fit in an Evo V?
Thanks :)
Does anyone know what I need to fix the shifter lights? Can’t seem to find the bulb part#. Also the buttons on the drivers side for the windows etc. won’t light up as well. Thanks in advance!
been shopping around for a new daily and I really like how the third gen Montero's look. I know they're rated for 5,000 lb if I just wondering if anyone has experience towing with them. I have a '95 240 SX I would be towing to and from the track that weighs about 2,600 lb.
My girlfriend has a 2008 Outlander with the V6 and it’s freaking out I guess. She looked around online and I guess she figures that the ECM or ECU ( whatever it’s called) is hooped. Where would I find this thing when I get home to have a look at it and perhaps test it?
I have two choices for Outlander PHEV: one is from a local dealership, a 2022 one with 56,680 miles, price $21,998; the other is from Carvana, a 2018 one with 50,548 miles,$18,990. In this case, which one is the better choice?
BTW, has anyone used Carvana? They didn't offer test-driving, but 7 days free return.
Just got a used 2010 montero sport. 4-speed 2.5L turbo diesel. After 4 days, i decided to check the engine oil dip stick and the engine oil is 99% dry! I also noticed that it makes some sort of "glass clinking", like when you tap your spoon on a glass/ceramic mug, in the engine bay. What are the possible reasons for this?
Is it worth buying a legnum in 2024? do they have any part/aftermarket support?
You know that red evo from Tokyo drift was wondering or want input due to evos being so expensive now will the ralliart or regular lancer work? Just want to cosmetic I don’t care about stick shift or drifting it. If any info lmk
I have check Battery, Coils, Spark plugs , Fuel pump, injectors. The car started an hour before it doesn’t. I got the U0001 and P1590 codes. what else could be the cause?
Automatic mirage 2012
So i’m trying to decide on what lancer to get that’s within my budget, there’s a 2009 lancer Ralliart under 80k miles for 13.5k and a 2011 lancer gts for 9k with 95k miles to it name, I know very little on the differences of the Lancer series and ik i’ll never be able to get an evo with less than 150k miles that isn’t 20k higher so i’m choosing between these 2 as they are well within my budget. I just wanna know some details like the difference on the makes, and i don’t plan on making them modified for racing or anything like that, maybe so in the future but i just want to get my dream car. The ralliart has no exterior modifications but the gts has some mud flaps, i’m assuming led lights, steering wheel is change including the shift, and what looks to be carbon fiber vented hood and trunk with black rims, they both look very well taken care of and nice, but i would have to see in person. if you guys can give me any experience with either make and opinions, takes, heads up, or anything really i will be grateful as i want this to be my first car purchase and another accomplishment in my life.
Hello, Does anyone know how to get my 2008 lancer/galant out of limp mode? I removed the headunit in my car and now its in limp mode. havent touched any of the wires. thank you
I just bought my outlander in May and whenever I go to my dentist office or drive past it. I get a very loud alert stating road with restricted access ahead. There’s another location I frequent where it says unpaved road ahead and it is so loud and startling. Is there a way I can turn the volume down or turn these prompts off? I tried looking under settings and can’t find anything that could be related to this announcement.
Not the eclipse I wanted as a kid but I’m enjoying. Previous car was a 2020 outlander sport. The cross feels more refined. The Mitsubishi power sound system is heavy on the bass but I haven’t had to turn the volume up above 25 and sounds great despite what some reviewers say. The gas mileage is subpar however. Overall happy with the purchase.
Anyone have a good recommendation on a set of feeler gauges?
Looking to check my current clearance in my 2012 Lancer GT (4B12). Seeing clearances should be :
— Intake valve 0.20 ± 0.03 (0.008 ± 0.0012) − Exhaust valve 0.03 ± 0.03 (0.012 ± 0.0012) —
Any good and trustable websites to buy lancer bodykits in australia?
I bought a dirt cheap Outlander which apparently had a broken timing belt and no compression on 3rd cyl. Im trying to figure out if there is more problems than bent valves on it, i can still crank it without any catastrophic failure. Would it be completly dead while cranking if i lose comp on one cylinder?
Im also getting a P0340 fault code which i dont get either, new cam-sensor, wiring is measured and seems fine, timing is now on point against the markings everywhere but still it wont even make a cough.
If it wont even make a cough im wondering if it will start right up with new valves or if its scrap time for it
Hey. I just bought this 2002 Mitsubishi galant 2.5 v6 yesterday. Drive it home without issues. I then drove it some more a couple hours later and then it started clunking from what sounds like the right side of the car. I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas?
I want to go to car show that caters to Mitsubishi. 90’s. Any suggestions on the best event?
Have a '04 Lancer (ES) where both keyfob on the same day stopped working from a distance (batteries were checked and replaced as well). They work (unlock and lock door, etc) just fine when inches from the car; near the driver door, over the hood's ECM area, and inside the car front seats. But once over a foot away no response at all. This happened years ago but finally thinking I should fix it
I have a feeling my dealership by me caused it when they took apart the entire front dash for a recall right before I went on a 3-week work related trip so why I didn't notice it right away to know the cause.
Any ideas? ..all fuses checked, and anything I could unplug and replug under the driver side and behind the glove compartment was unplugged and re-plugged. Is there an antenna connection unplugged, etc?
Mechanic is stumped and says not work paying the fees to investigate. There's no antenna, it's all built in he says ...any ideas?
Anyone know where I can get the oem lines from westgate and turbo to the boost solenoid? Can’t find them anywhere! Removing 3 port bcm and installing stock bcm
Ok, so i drive every day for door dash. Everything was fine yesterday. Then i drove over a speed bump kind of rough, as i did not see it. I parked the car, went in to get the food, came out, and turned on the car, i noticed when i put my foot on the gas, nothing happened. i was like...what is going on... i was able to idle in reverse, but literally nothing happened when i put my foot on the gas, the engine wouldn't even rev, its as if i wasn't pressing anything. i idled home, and about an hour later i turned on the car, and like magic it worked. everything was as it should be.. then just to test it i floored it to see what would happen, then it stopped working again. it seems to be working perfectly every few hours until i give it some heavy gas, then it quits working and just idles.. any ideas?
Hi all. Does anyone happen to know if a 2018 Mitsubishi mirage XLS auto locks after a certain period of time? My car was broken into a few nights ago and there were no signs of forced entry so I must’ve accidentally left it unlocked but I’m pretty sure that my model of car does auto lock as it has done it before (I think). I think the reason it may not have auto locked on this occasion is because I don’t think I shut the boot properly thus not allowing the car to lock itself. But I’m also not 100% sure if the car does in fact auto lock. Would anyone on here know? Thank you, I’m usually always on top of my car security but I had let my guard down and some important things were taken from my car.
So I'm trying to find a 7 seater that's somewhat interesting and not a minivan. I've found a 1997 Pajero 3.5 v6 LWB is up for sale locally to me. Does anyone know if you can place child car seats/booster seats in the third row? Also, can you install a anchor point in the boot space?
Hi folks! I’m new to this outlander game, recently bought a ‘24. Has anyone lowered one? I’ve scoured the internet and can only find options for older outlanders or outlander sports. TIA!
