Hello Bimmer community! Our family's 6 Series GT will be arriving soon (I'll surely try to get professional photos of it and post them in this community when I get the chance 😉).
It'll be the first time any of us will have ever sat in a BMW or Mercedes (we did own and drive an Audi A4 though), and this one will be the 640i variant with what's panning out to be quite an acclaimed engine+transmission combination.
It'll have perforated nappa leather in 'Mocca' colour.
Getting to the point, we were curious as to whether there are after market 'cuddle-pillows', the ones that wrap onto the headrests, that provide similar comfort and look to the OEM ones, but don't cost $300+, the way the OEM ones do, which we believe is too expensive for that kind of item. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the production costs of making those things are $20 or something.
On a less desired but still wanted addition to the car, we are also wondering what quality rear-seat entertainment TV-units there are available out there. We have a few headphones in our possession, so the entertainment unit doesn't need to come with headphones itself.
Thank you for the read. I'll be looking into all comments.
New to the EV club, but have had BMW’s for years. There is for sure a learning curve with this one. I like it so far. Your thoughts?
Located in Texas - Any recommendations on where to look for OEM wheels that BMW never brought to the US? Particularly interested in style 26's.

Im looking for a carbon fiber piece to cover this chrome piece on my bmw 540i non m base sedan
Hey guys quick question I see this keychain on a lot of early 2000s bmws anyone know where they’re from?
Hi I’m buying a 330i with a lm500 turbo. I heard the there can be coolant issues with the B48 engine. I can’t seem to find the aluminum replacement part for the oil filter housing. Does it exist for 2020+? Any other parts I should buy to be safe when running the car?
I am looking to purchase a BMW 335D but I am running into a bit of an issue.
I'm not very experienced with diesel cars and I'm interested in deleting the SCR, EGR and DPF.
I've been looking for shops that do this kind of thing in my area, no shops specify doing any kind of emissions deletes, can anyone explain the process of finding a shop/deleting emissions?
If anyone knows a shop in south florida/florida in general I would very much appreciate the help.
My Pirelli run flat tire saved my ass after going over two potholes on the 152 West 14 miles out from Casa de Fruta (CdF) in Holister, CA. I was able to drive with zero air pressure to CdF and got it towed to American Tire Depot. Get warrantys y'all. I only paid approximately $102 for a new run flat.
So as the title says its a 2015 but it has electrical issues i have a reliable car but i wouldn’t mind a second car to just mess around with is this a bad idea to buy or should i pull the trigger
I just bought it 2 days ago BMW certified and this is happening. Anyone know why?
Greetings everyone! I'm an engineering student currently working on a manufacturing system simulation assignment. I need some concrete data that I wasn't able to find online, so I thought this was the next best place to ask. If you were to get a G30, which colour would you pick? Thank you all! Ps. If anyone could point me to any sources regarding the approximate cost of manufacturing of the standalone G30 chassis (before it's painted or fitted with any parts at all) I would really appreciate it. I've been trying to find an estimate for weeks, to no avail.
I recently traded in my ‘17 X1 for this X3 and WOW. Here are a few initial thoughts/questions after 3 weeks:
Apologies for being long-winded, but this car has been everything I could ask for so far. Cheers!
There’s this weird noise coming from under my car from time to time then goes away? doesn’t seem to be coming from the engine I’m guessing the driveshaft is potentially rubbing on something, the sound doesn’t really bother me just wondering if it’s an actual problem. (Car was also just purchased cpo from bmw with 38k miles)
I've been using Driver Assistance Professional (radar cruise, keep lane center) recently and think it works pretty well, but I know this technology is new and imperfect. I'm curious if anyone here has run into a situation that caused Driver Assistance Pro to lose some trust?
It's really hard to find info out there that rags on BMW's driver assistance system, but I'm sure some have had less than ideal experiences and I'd love to hear some real world stories.
I’m heavily considering getting the new M5 and need some input as this is a very controversial car.
I would be swapping it from my Model S Plaid which size and weight is pretty comparable actually (m5 a bit heavier)
I got a ride in one today and actually liked the whole experience. For reference, I also tried a m4comp and didn’t like it as much.
I originally did want a smaller car though but this ends up being slightly larger.
Also worried about depreciation etc down the line.
I’m looking to upgrade my spark plugs and get a new intake. I’m thinking injen short ram cold air intake but I don’t know where to start on spark plugs? Lmk fellas🙏🏼
How would you guys make this sexier. Need help.
Hello beatiful people of Reddit 👋
I am writing this post because I need advice. I cant decide which option makes more sense. I am deciding between buying two cars:
I can comfortably pay for either of the cars. But of course by buying the F36 I would save 7000 USD. Which is not small money. I know 108k miles is not a huge number for a diesel bmw, but since the oil has been changed on a 19k miles / 30k km basis I feel like at this point the car can start to breakdown easily.
What do you guys think? Thank you for your insights.
Hello thoughts on pulling the trigger on a 2021 m8 comp gran coupe with around 30k miles for 70k clean title one owner is it worth owning to drive 20-30k miles a year at that point? Or just get a daily and drive this weekends? (Wondering more on maintenance and reliability) I live in the Midwest.
Reading everywhere about this silly trade war that’s going on got me all hopeful. With the US/CAN tariffs happening, Canada should look towards the EU and bring over more wagons. 🤞🤷♂️
Is there any love for wagons on here by NA Reddit users?
