Hondas are pretty cool, too.

I’m planning on buying a 2023 MDX from an Acura dealership out of state. It is a certified pre-owned. Does this mean that if any issues arise, I can take it to my dealership back home? It says that it comes with a 2 year 100k mile non-powertrain warranty and a 7 year 100k mile powertrain warranty. I’m not really sure what that means as this is the nicest vehicle I’ve ever purchased, and I’ve never had a warranty on anything. Haha
Hi all! I am the owner of a 2002 mdx we’ve owned since new and wow that thing has been a workhorse. 200,000 miles and going strong! We also have a 2010 TSX and 2010 TL and 2011 TSX wagon lol. We were big fans of Acura 10 years ago…
I don’t expect that from a new mdx, but I do like to keep cars for a good long time. So therefore, my question is which years of MDX are seen as the most reliable? Consumer reports has 2022 as the best, but I’ve heard reports it had issues being the first year of a redesign… I also heard evthg before 2022 was terrible (the hybrid engine maybe?), and then I read that the teens are great? Ugh I’m so confused, please help guide me. Is there a consensus as to which model years are the most reliable? (My sister had a 2010 that was a disaster…) It’s crunch time for the new car purchase! Thanks for any guidance 🙏.
Hello, I have a 2022 MDX A-Spec with a 3.5L(?) v6 and I feel like its a bit sluggish on the highway, especially compared to a family member’s Audi Q8. I don’t want to buy a type s because I just bought this car last year for a steal. Im looking for mods to add about 30-50 hp to the existing 290 with not many mods. (maybe an intake, downpipes, exhaust system and ecu tune?)
So... we bought the 2016 MDX back in 2017. Always used FM radio, Bluetooth, or my CD of multitude of mp3's when that was my music source for my previous Corolla.
That being said, I just found out about the HDD option last week when I forgot my phone at home. There was music on there from the previous owner. How do I manage music on the HDD so I can get my stuff on there?
Anyone know of a shop that can install MDX Type S Brembo brake setup (calipers, rotors, splash shields, hoses) on 2022 MDX Aspec in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk VA area? I have the parts but having a hard time finding a shop that will install them.
2014 Acura ILX w/ Tech. delivered w/ 7,400 miles. Thoughts? What issues should i look out for. Took it to Acura for their vehicle inspection and got the recommended ATF change. Tech said he could hear a bit of noise from the shocks/struts around 55mph but i haven't noticed.
People don’t understand that you have to build boost and that it isn’t a bmw that gives you all the horsepower almost instantly.
To get max boost you have to three step it in a very distinct way; whenever I get max boost the car literally flies and goes 60-140 in a few seconds.
I'm trying to spend less than $8000 so I can just buy the car in cash and not have a payment, but I also barely put 4000 miles a year on my cars. I really just need my this next car I buy to last for the next 4-5 years, which for me means about 20k-30k miles. I see that the 2014 ILX has really good remarks for reliability, but I also know that 160k miles is really high. I plan on having a mechanic perform a prepurchase inspection, so if the mechanic comes back and says everything is good is there any reason not to go forward with this?
For the same price, my other options are mostly 2012 & 2013 Honda Civic/Accords with around 150k miles, or some newer Kia/Hyundai models that are usually around 100k miles.
I’ve had my 1990 legend for about 6 months it was and is pretty well taken care of the guy I got it from was doing a lot of work to it but had a kid so he had to sell it and didn’t completely finish it. Car runs fine but I’ve started to get hesitation when staring it up sometimes in the morning other times mid day it won’t happen every time but I’ve noticed it happens somewhat more frequently, what could possibly be causing it, should I check for electrical power loss or the fuel system? Also both my break lights are on i know the e brake isn’t up and occasionally I have to push the pedal pretty far down. I’m not with the car right now so I can’t check the break fluid reservoir that’s was my thought other than break lines. Any tips are appreciated cause I gotta keep her running.
going to see a 2007 acura tl with 150k miles on it. The guy wants 5k for it and it has all service done and smog checked. I checked the vin and it’s the original miles and only one owner. i think it’s worth it because i heard these model acuras are reliable and i’ve had horrible experiences trying to find a acura tl without the mileage rolled back. I just need some second opinions with more experienced people. Thank you!
Hi guys,
My apologies for the novice question but this may come off as too easy as I have replaced a wiper before.
FYI, I have an Acura MDX 2022
I saw some rubber dangling from my wiper both front and rear. The rear one particularly looked like it was on its last leg so I pulled it off and now I'm thinking of just changing the refill part. I came across a wiper rubber, wiper blade, refill and insert.
In my understanding, a wiper blade has the rubber already attached and the insert is the one I just need to change every year or so, right?
Do I just need to check this for the left:

This for the right:
https://acura.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/acura-wiper-blade-insert-76632ty2a04
How do you locate the rear? Even if my life was hanging on it, I just can't locate it.
Thanks in advance.
At what mileage did you have to change your original brake?
I apologize if this has been posted a million times on here but looking to see where everyone is sitting with their average.
I have. 2025 tlx aspec (only 800 miles on it) and no matter what I do I am stuck at 20.8-20.9 average mpg and won't go any higher. I've tried driving in comfort mode and regular and nothing, I do not drive crazy by any means
How can I fully disable vsa in my 2012 acura tl sh-awd? I can turn off traction, but holding the button does nothing. Ive made sure I dont have any tpms lights, and ive seen other people say their winter tires didnt let them fully disable vsa but mine have tpms sensors in them. Let me know if there is anything else im missing? I also tried getting a new battery and unplugging and plugging back in the vsa fuses
What’s better and what’s the exact 0.60 on the aspec
Hey guys + gals. Any recommendations on a good dash cam for my ‘25 Integra Type-S? Cost is not a concern. I just want one that’s of excellent quality and fairly easy to use.
I just traded in my 2023 integra for a 2025. I didn’t have these on my 23 but noticed them not that long ago. I think they’re ugly. Are they supposed to be there? Can I take them off or will it ruin my paint? Idk
I’ve been looking into buying a Integra Type S ever since it launched in 2024 but haven’t had the financial freedom to do so until a little bit ago, but I was wondering if there would be a 2026 Integra Type S, I could finance it now if there won’t be a 2026 model but I’d rather just buy it in cash to save more money which I’ll be able to do around September or October
Hey y’all, do you have a 2012 Acura MDX w/ tech package and I’m running into a weird issue with the AC. Anytime I have my AC on (normally set to 65 and below so it should give me cold air) I get hot air coming o ut of the drivers side and cold air (the correct temperature) coming out of the passengers side. They’re both set to the same temp so i’m not sure where the malfunction is. Anyone got any experience with this issue or have any insight in steps to fix it without taking it to a dealership. I’m in Texas and I like need cold air so would like to get this fixed before it starts to get hot out.
When I first purchased my car, In Nov., it would come up automatically on the dashboard! Now it shows audible. I can still connect my phone and listen to Spotify through the cars speakers, problem is it won't show what song is playing; won't let me skip a song/ repeat a song etc. etc.
My wife is looking at a 2020 mdx with 54k on it. Anything I should be aware of besides the sunroof? Also of you have one chime in and let me know what you think please.
I’d been looking around for a grille to protect the intercooler opening on the chin area of my TLX. While down in Daytona for the Rolex 24, I came back to my car to find a business card from Eric, the owner of Radiator Grille Store. Checked out the website and spoke to Eric and picked up a mesh grille that didn’t require any bumper removal. Finished product photo included. For anyone looking for something like this, I highly recommend.
I have a 1st gen rdx, sometimes not all the time but sometimes when I start my car it makes this weird rattle sound. Any ideas?
Looking to purchase a 2017 SH AWD MDX - mileage is 170,000 and two previous owners. Struts need work, but other than that it seems fine. Would love to hear experiences owning this vehicle and if there should be concern with mileage being so high. Honestly looking forward to it - seems like a nice SUV but have never owned anything so high on miles.
rare nsx at my dealer I work at
My dealer just quoted me $515 per month (12k / 36months) with only first payment due at signing. Is this a good deal?
TIA 🙏
