The company that I work started changing their fleet from Subaru to Toyota. I ordered a new rav4 hybrid and it was getting delivered to the dealer near me. The car arrived and somehow the sold it to a customer. Under the fleet order they just needed to prep the vehicle and delivered to me. How they can sell a vehicle not belonging to them? The dealer is so embarrassed and they are going to give me one on the lot with extras; the guy in charge of fleet doesn’t understand how they can sell a vehicle that doesn’t belong to them now my company is going to transfer title and is a whole mess. I guess I won’t be driving a Toyota for a couple more weeks.
Hey guys, there was a deal through February 3rd for 5.99% APR on 72 months. This obviously ends tonight, but I have a purchase in progress that they haven't reviewed my credit check for that I submitted 6 days ago (annoying and feels scummy). Do you think that APR% spikes tomorrow? Especially considering the new price spikes nationa wide on all consumer products?
I have 2015 Corolla S ( 66K miles) bought six months ago and went to toyota dealer today for regular oil change. The dealer based on multipoint inspection recommended front strut replacement as it was showing signs of leaks. They quoted around 2200$ for it. I know dealers usually quote a very large amount so wanted to check what should be reasonable estimate for it.
Don't forget to subscribe!!
hello so my friend is looking to buy a used 2022 toyota corolla LE with 53k miles on it & a CVT transmission, the dealership has it listed for $16,440 and she is wondering if that is a reasonable deal or how much she should negotiate to? any help is appreciated :)
It's a limited trim. They took off 2k and got it to 50k. This seems like way too much money to put down. On a lease. The lower payment is nice but too much money.
I was wondering if anyone had this issue. My LC has been ringing nonstop unless it's at a complete stop. I took it to my local Toyota and they said it was normal noise. They immediately tried to get me into a different car but for more money. I then drove it to a professional car audio shop and he looked at it and said it is NOT a normal sound, and that there is something really wrong with it. The noise is about 14000 hz, sounds like a high-pitched tea kettle, or a cricket that is constant, and it gives me headaches and earaches and is honestly unbearable. I did not hear any of it during the test drive. The dealership was reluctant to help me at all. The audio shop guy sent me to another Toyota service location but they're 2 hours away but he said they'd take care of me. I am concerned the issue won't be fixed and they'll claim they either can't hear it or that it's normal noise. I am not sure what to do. I dread driving every single day and I am suffering from tinnitus. I have only had the car for one month. The ringing started about 2 weeks ago and doesn't stop. And no, it's not the typical hybrid noises that I have heard before. It's an irritating electrical sound kind of like when you plug in a fast charger or similar, but much louder. Does anyone have any advice before I make a 2 hour drive in a couple of weeks, when their next opening is?
So my timing chain in my Toyota Corolla 2003 needs to be replaced, problem is this costs almost the same as the value of the car. And now when I reach speeds of 80 km/h or higher I can hear a ticking sound. How long do you think I can procrastinate on the repair? I’m a little too broke for a 2k usd repair right now :/ I’ll have more money in sept but I fear my car won’t last that long…
It was super cold this morning, I started the vehicle and an engine light came on with the hybrid system stopped warning.
I did a little bit of research thinking I might be a victim of the cablegate thing, because we live in a very cold climate with lots of salt on the road in winter. I took it to Toyota and they are saying it’s the junction box and won’t even look at the cable. Has anybody experienced issues with a junction box before?
The shitty thing is the cable is covered under warranty for another 30,000 km, but the junction box is $800.
Hello, I have a technical question. I have a 2017 Toyota Fortuner and the driver´s overhead visor broke down. I couldn´t find a replacement online. If anyone can help me how to find it or tell me another model that could fit in the Fortuner. Thank you
I distinctly recall having my dealer tell me that I would only be able to remote start my car if it showed up in the app as an option but if I press my key FOB 3 times to lock it will remote start. Does anyone else have any insight as to why this isnt showing up as an option in my app? I find it to be kind of a bummer, tbh.
It also remotely controls my climate in the car when I do this and sets the air to max of whatever I last left it at but to the extreme (if I had it set to 79 in my car it will set it to "Hi" and then 65 or lower to "Lo"), and yet I cant control it with the app.
Anyone know anything?
Hey everyone I'm looking to buy a new car and want to ask for some advice. I've always owned a Corolla starting with a 97, a Corolla 04 and I currently own a 2013. I've always loved the Corolla but with 2 kids now I may need to upgrade to a SUV for my next car. I was looking to see if there was a Toyota SUV that was similar to a Corolla or if there were any any other vehicles that I should consoder for car shopping? Thanks!
My local Toyota dealership has 13 white SR5 Tacomas sitting on the lot. They can’t sell them without heavy discounts. In the meantime, the dealer has to pay interest for their floor plan. Why does Toyota force inventory to dealers that can’t sell? I’m sure the dealer wants more of a specific trim or color other than white SR5 because customers want something different.
I’m looking at a 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid, but I just found out that Toyota no longer makes this model. Would this cause any issues in the long run, like with parts availability, maintenance, or resale value?
I bought this new-to-me 2021 Corolla LE with 56k miles on it on Saturday and took it out for a long drive around northwestern Connecticut and border towns in New York and Massachusetts to get a feel as to how it drives in various conditions. She’s a real beauty and drives like a dream!
Prior to this, I had a 2009 Chevy Cobalt that got up to 127k miles and served me well over the past 9 1/2 years. But it was just time for something better.
Here’s to many more miles and many more adventures to come!
Toyota Corolla LE Hybrid I remember before there was 4 wheel tire pressure showing the psi in app but now nothing? 😕
Hi all, I'm super new to this group and also don't know much about cars. My 2005 Toyota matrix has recently been teetering into the overheating zone when I drive her. This happens most when I accelerate, am going above 30 mph, and within the first 5 min of turning on the car.
By "overheating zone", I mean that the temp gauge is going from its usual resting heat of ~40% up the dial to ~70-75% up the dial somewhat rapidly (it doesn't spike but it definitely goes up), then creeping back down steadily if I stop accelerating or slow down. I have been watching the temp like a hawk since this started 3 weeks ago and adjust my driving to keep it at 50% heat or lower as to not damage the car.
Also, when I stop the car, somethin the engine keeps running for a few seconds, which has never happened before. It sounds like a fan that is continuing to whir for 2.5 seconds.
All of this has been occurring for the past 3 weeks or so. I live in New England and it's ~25-35 degrees out right now. Luckily I really only do local driving and have managed to take things slow as to not push the car toward the super high temp danger zone. I know I need to go to the mechanic and I'm planning on it, but figured l'd reach out to see if folks have any initial thoughts or advice. Thank you!!!
I just got a new 2025 Camry and I'm thinking about adding the following aftermarket parts:
Mudguards
Rear bumper protector
Trunk LED (replacing the OEM incandescent bulb)
Will adding these aftermarket parts affect factory warranty?
Does toyota release software updates to improve the TSS? What kind of improvements have they made so far and how often do they update it? I live in Malaysia and am thinking of buying a Toyota from Japan cause it’s cheaper and has more ADAS features than the local Toyota, but I'm guessing it probably can’t receive any software updates since the region is different.
