Z1 ecutek level 1 tune comes 3 maps which they have labeled- 93 Octane 91 Octane 89 Octane (eco)
Does this mean you have to run 89 to use eco, I can’t run 93?
Every time I open this app, I see someone’s G37 or Q50 get popped. I have a ‘14 Q50 and live in a rougher area but still close to a college campus and the police station. Why are these so common to get stolen, and by what means?
My ‘09 G37 started having a misfire yesterday with the blinking SES light, and after getting it home, I initially thought it was a catalytic converter issue, but my mechanic told me it wasn’t. I changed out the spark plugs and cleaned the MAF sensor and Throttle Bodies and after testing it out the SES light reappeared and it still continues to run rough and has the misfire along with the P0301 and P0300 code. The Autozone that ran the code check for me told me that it was just the cylinder 1 misfiring repeatedly which is causing the P0300 (multiple misfires code)
Pretty lost on what to do here, any advice would help.
I am just about finishing up replacing the AWD controller on my QX50 with a Syvecs generic awd control module.
Picture is one of my base maps. I still have a bit of tweaking to do. It was an interesting project figuring out how to program this thing and also getting all the CAN information from the car need for this.
Delivered at 18 miles. It now, at 80 miles, vibrates when I brake at higher speeds, doesn't always recognize my seatbelt is plugged in, and has a burning smell. Qx60. This is painful.
I’ve been seeing a lot of media lately saying that there’s a high chance Nissan is going to go bankrupt.. How true is this? And will it make my car more rare or more shitty?
Hey folks, currently looking at 2018 QX80 4WD with just shy of 120k on the clock. It’s priced at wholesale, so I’m tempted.
I’ve always liked these SUVs as rentals, being a Patrol they appear to have a solid reputation.
What’s the realistic outlook on hitting 200-250k on this? I do my maintenance on time. I’ve owned a Land Rover and managed to keep the air suspension working on that. I’m more worried about the engine given the #7 scoring issues and the previous generation’s timing chain issues. I also haven’t heard much about the trans on these, that could be good or bad I suppose.
I’m in a moderate snow area. I like having a large 4WD SUV/truck so I know that I’ll survive when some bozo slams into me because they saw a singular snowflake. Fuel mileage is of no concern. I also occasionally tow a track car.
Any tips would be appreciated!
I have a 97’ J30 and I’m looking for a blend door actuator. I’d also like help locating the actuator if anybody could send me a detailed map. Dm me to discuss
How to fix or replace the analog clock light on a 2012 g37 sedan
Are there any JDM car meets that takes place in Jacksonville, Palm coast, Daytona, st Augustine & areas? Particularly Infiniti & Nissan owners?
How costly is a infiniti q70 over long term ownership. As a 23 year old whose a big guy (6’3 350lbs) I want something thats big and comfortable without suffering at the pump with a pickup truck which is also why im not particularly interested in the 5.6. Ive heard the vq37 is tried and true with maintenance but just how costly is that.
I have a 2011 EX35 with 105,000 miles and a Check Tire Pressure warning is on and after putting the recommended amount of air in all four tires it hasn’t shut off. Has anyone else had this same issue before?
Hey guys im thinking abt getting a Q60s red sport, us it good car, like fast but reliable?
I've been trying to fix the cabin lights in my wife's 2014 QX50. I found some information that it might be that sometimes 1 bulb that has burned out can blow the fuse. I decided that if I'm going to be replacing at least one of the halogen bulbs, that I'd put in LED's for everything.
I've changed all the bulbs and the 10A fuse still blows right away. I'm not sure if I missed a bulb that might be the problem or if there is something else known to cause the fuse to blow. I've pulled the negative battery cable while changing the bulbs and reconnected it after all the bulbs are changed.
Just as a double check, here's the bulbs I replaced:
1 x each sunvisor
1 x each front doors towards the bottom
1 x each overhead light rear passenger doors
1 x each map light
1 x rear cargo area on the passenger side
Could there be another bulb I missed? Or something else I could do to troubleshoot this issue?
I've thought about pulling all the bulbs and seeing if the fuse blows, then adding bulbs one by one, but I'm not sure that will work.
I have a 2012 M37x with just shy of 119k miles on which the transmission fluid has never been drained & filled or flushed.
Based on the research I've done, it sounds like opinions are divided over whether the transmission fluid in these cars should be drained & filled at all.
It also looks like some people say that for higher mileage cars in particular, if the transmission fluid wasn't drained & filled at a lower mileage point in the car's life, it shouldn't be done at all (and that a flush would be an especially bad idea).
I have had this car since 2014/~35k miles and it has been mostly reliable, and I would like to keep driving it as my daily driver for as long as possible.
Having said that, was it a mistake to drive the car for this long without draining/filling the transmission fluid? Would it actually be a bad idea to have it done at this point? If so, how many more miles can I realistically expect to get out of the transmission at this point?
Thanks
Coming down often from Canada usually Detroit and Buffalo, how bads the thefts and use in take overs in the US? Canada's got a bad car theft problem but Infiniti is safe fron that here.
I'm curious is it safe to drive my 17 qx50 (3.7) over the border for lunch or shopping or should I just bring another car for those road trips?
Been having some electric issues. The latest thing is my car will not recognize my key FOB. I can only start the car when I put the FOB in the key slot. Nothing else works. Started happening when I recently replaced my cabin filter.
I have a 2012 G37 xS.
In addition to this my backup camera guiding lines are not correct. If my wheel is centered, then try address curved.
My automatic window raise feature doesn’t work also.
I have a few other small quirks. But nevertheless, what do you guys suggest.
Would resetting the ECU help? Forgive me if that’s a foolish question.
Let me know your thoughts.
Happy thanksgiving folks. I’m looking to upgrade my 96 Infiniti i30’s head unit to a wireless CarPlay compatible unit since my tape deck is dying.
Does anyone have any luck finding a unit that fits flush into the space of an i30’s radio? And will the car’s antenna still pop up when the radio is engaged? Any advice/links help. Thanks.
I just bought these for my 2008 g37 coupe, will I need to get a tune? Is it necessary?
Would love to see some other qx/ex cold starts or mods!
We recently bought this 2010 FX50 with 21” Factory Wheels and I’m going to have them professionally powered painted and I need to buy a set of brand new tires. They have 265/45r21 tires now but I’m thinking about buying a set of 285/45r21’s , my question is regarding the front tires, would the 285’s be too wide for the front tires?
Bought a used 2020 QX60 a few months ago with 40k miles. Just noticed a grinding sound while in motion, took it to my local shop, sure enough - bad transfer case.
This is apparently a very common issue (see lawsuit). The shop is giving me an insane price for a junkyard transfer case - and a new part is about 2-3x that.
The car doesn’t have many miles on it, but it sounds like this may be a continual issue. If anyone has dealt with a similar issue, I’d appreciate your input. TIA.
I feel it when I put my hand on top of the engine, but no, it's not the valve covers. I changed those like a month ago, and also the spark plugs. I can't find out what is leaking or ticking; I'm just trying to find some answers before I open this up and do something to the timing chain. I haven't changed the coils yet, and I don't feel them shaking or anything. Please help me.🥲😭
