Looking for opinions

Hey everyone just got my charger little over a month ago and getting tint done soon what else would be some good mods that wouldn’t hurt reliability?

Problem with headlight

I had a hit with the headlight of my 2023 Dodge Charger, I changed the glass that covers it and they sealed it, later it rained and the headlight started to fail. I lowered the light intensity, what could I do to fix it?

2001 Durango Diff Problems After Fluid Change

Hi all,

TL;DR: Rear diff is making a horrible noise/chattering/shuddering after a fluid change, ship insists they only change the fluid, and while they found some glitter in the old fluid, they didn't find anything else wrong with the diff. The diff was making a quiet rubbing noise before the fluid change, but nowhere near as bad as now. Does anyone know what fluid/friction modifier the Durango LSD takes? The shop said they used GL5 fluid. Thanks!!

I have a 2001 Dodge Durango with a rear limited slip differential. Recently, it's been making a mild rubbing (?) sound from the rear end when making tight turns under ~5 mph when off throttle. This has happened before and was fixed when I got the differential fluid changed. However, after I took it to a shop on Saturday to get the fluid changed, the problem is WAY worse. Now it's chattering, shuddering, and rubbing when making tight turns, and makes clunking sounds (one was so loud it echoed off a parking garage's walls 😬). I know this diff doesn't have more than a few years left in it (glitter was found in the fluid during this shop visit and past ones), but it never drove even close to this bad before. I took it back after a few minutes of driving and they said the diff tech already left for the day, so I left it at the shop for no charge until the tech was back today (Monday). He called me and said that the car is pretty much ready to go, but when I asked him if he found anything he said that the same fluid that he put in on Friday was in there. He said that it's likely the diff just gave out after I started testing it, but it just seems like a hell of a coincidence for it to get so much worse right after taking it to a shop.

This shop doesn't do any other diff work, only fluid changes, so they have no reason to try and get me to pay for more diff work. Further, they've been a trustworthy shop in my experience and have always done a great job. I highly doubt this was intentional, but maybe they used the wrong fluid?

The only thing I can think of is they put the wrong fluid/not enough friction modifier in. They said they used GL5 fluid, which they was the only fluid they carry and the fluid Dodge recommends for my car. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help on this is much appreciated, thanks!! :)

2014 Dodge Journey

Over the weekend I hit the push button to start is and it was "cranking" but not starting. I finally got it to start and it was idling like trash and the lighting bolt warning light was flashing.

I shut it off and restarted it, fired up right away no issues and ran perfectly.

This has happened a few times.

It also seems if it's "warmed up" I can turn it off and on without issues.

Just usually right away, or after a long period during the day of it sitting around.

Any thoughts?

2011 Grand Caravan blind spot modules (OEM alternative?)

The blind spot modules (68158109AD) on my 2011 Grand Caravan have failed. Both modules are cracked at the seams (looks like internal electrical corrosion) and I’m guessing the years of launching the boat have finally caught up with me. MOPAR replacements are several hundred dollars each and aftermarket (eBay, etc.) aren’t much of a savings.

Just thought I’d double check here, any hope there’s an alternative that’s more affordable and accessible? I’ve thought about trying U-Pull-&-Pay junkyards but honestly I haven’t found any local to my area yet. I’m open to all ideas, thank you.

What price range will make the Dodge Charger Sixpack sell well and how likely do you think that it will be priced that?

Anyone ever had this problem?

I have a 2019 V6 standerd Durango and lately I’m having a problem with its gears, sometimes when I put it in reverse it doesn’t change gears and the “R” icon starts flashing indicating it didn’t change gears Same thing happened once when I put in “D” it doesn’t not shift to second gear and when I put in manual it also flashes indicating it did change gears, I’m not in expert but I think it’s an electrical problem, if u guys can help me would appreciate it Thank you.

Just looking for some insight...

The local dealership has three promising Dodge chargers:

1: is a 2020 RT with 30k miles for 27K

2: is a 2023 RT with 2k miles for 35K

3: The one I want the most of the three is a 2020 ScatPack with 8k miles on it for 38K

I wanna know what others might think of these numbers and I am looking for opinions on the matter.

Pictures of LX factory remote start module installed

Does anyone have the factory remote start or upgraded security system? I want to see how the module is installed under the dash. There doesn't seem to be any place to mount it. Best I can think of is zip tie to dashboard framing.

Radiator Fan

Hello

Just trying to understand my Journey more. I was idling for a few minutes today after driving for 30 minutes while waiting for my turn to get gas. It was about 33F and raining sleet. I saw white smoke coming out of the front of the car thick like its overheating thick smoke.

I couldnt hear if the fan kicked in. Is that whats going on? None of my trans, oil, coolant were over 200F and my temperature gauge is sitting between 45-50 % of that gauge scale.

Appreciate any input. Thanks.

Any direct swaps for the radio on a 2004.5 3500.

Im wondering if theres any direct radio swaps I can buy for my truck. I don’t wanna have to buy adapter kits and plates. Is there any head units that’ll fit right in I just want bluetooth.

Hornet R/T+ in Europe?

Hi all. I'm wondering if any owners or techs know about taking a modern dodge to Italy.

I am to relocate for 2 years and want to take my new hornet r/t+ with me.

I beleive it was 100% made in Italy and is basically a Tonale clone sans a few parts (lights, trim, wheels) and coding?

Let's say I'm there for 1 year, and not registering it there, I'm wondering:

Can it be serviced at a jeep/Alfa dealer? What challenges would I face?

Are there warranty services that can still apply while under warranty and In Europe? Or some kind of process to use the warranty while in Europe?

Hoping for some useful insight and experience!

Similar experience with Jeep Compass/renegades may be useful since they are also made in Italy? I know the US made grand Cherokee is also sold there so I'm curious what we have to share about it.

Thanks!

2017 grand caravan music on USB

I just got a 2017 grand caravan, and I'm trying to put music on a USB and have a couple questions:

  1. Does it have to be an MP3 or will AAC work?
  2. Will I have shuffling capabilities?
