I Have A 2007 Lexus ES350, So Two Days Ago I started up my car and heard this loud squeaking sound that when the car warmed up it went away… however as I’m driving/ approaching home it started again and was only louder. I’m from the UK and I believe we have a 10 year warranty and 15 years for the hybrid battery.

I am looking at a couple of 2013-2015 GS300H but they won’t be under Lexus warranty anymore due to the age. Would this be a good purchase?

I am mainly worried about the repairs if something were to go horribly wrong in the next 3 years at least since it is a luxury car. But others say it won’t be too expensive because it is by Toyota?

What are your thoughts?

Currently riding around in a 15 year old 4Runner which has been great but getting up there in age and miles. I've had Lexus's in the past and kind of miss the niceties over the pretty basic 4Runner as well.

Would you go with the GX460 or the newer 550?

I like the styling and power and tech of the 550. Also I like the liftgate instead of the swing gate.
I like the overtrail version and value off roading and cargo space over a third row.

However I like the robustness of the old v8s, and the interior with physical buttons on the 460. Obviously I like the price of the 460s more than the new ones as well. Gas mileage is kind of a wash it seeems like, especially when you pay tens of thousands more for a newer model.

Does anyone know why a 2016 RX 350 automatically unlocks its doors as I approach with the key fob, without touching the door handle or pressing the unlock button on the fob? Additionally, when I lock the car while holding the key fob and standing within a foot of the vehicle, the doors automatically unlock themselves after the car locks and folds in the mirrors. Any insights on what might be causing this?

I have googled but have been unable to find a list of tasks covered in the 25k service appointment for my NX300. The message saying it is time for maintenance is now on and I would like to decide if I can have a local mechanic take care of it or if I need to take it to the Lexus dealer's service department. They are expensive and if it is basically an oil change and tire pressure check, I am likely to skip the dealer. But if it is a complicated or tricky service, I will spend the money. I love the car and it drives beautifully. Thanks.

CarPlay isn’t a big deal. It’s my wife and I and a 2 year old and that’s as big as our family is going to be. We have a 2021 RAV4 Hybrid as our other vehicle.

Safety, long term costs etc would it be making a big mistake to buy the GS over the ES Hybrid? Is there any massive leap forward I’m missing between the two? This would be a 5000 mile a year car for use most likely.

Every day I look out and see her sitting there shining in the sun I’m reminded how grateful I am to be able to have something so cool. As a kid there was never a day I thought I could afford a car like this.
