Established in the early 1980s and launched in 1989, the Lexus marque soon became associated with quality, luxury and superior customer satisfaction. The brand reputation grew quickly until, barely a dozen years after its founding, Lexus became America's best-selling line of luxury motor vehicles.

I got a different housing from eBay with a flip out key. But can’t find a place that cuts them. Home Depot said they need a special add on to make it.
Anyone know any other places?
Thanks! Matt
I had an IS prior and loved it, then got this to try an SUV and ended up loving it more than I expected. Sometimes I feel it’s a big car for just me and gives off “married with a family” vibes, even though I’m single, but it drives very similiar to my old IS, is roomy and I can take my bike or passengers in comfort, and I like being higher up to better compete on the road. In the past couple of years, I’ve looked at the NX but it hasn’t felt the same. Although, I’d be fine with a slightly smaller car. But I really like the roominess of this one.
I’ve been debating upgrading to an RX350 Hybrid model. Mostly for two reasons: I’m driving farther to work now so thinking about cutting gas expense and being kinder to the environment, and I have low miles on this car and it’s in great shape, that according to KBB, I could get a nice premium for this car. I haven’t taken it to Car Max to test that theory yet, though.
But I’ve been doing a cost benefit analysis and I’m stuck on whether I’d actually save money and gas.
Also, my Fsport is a 6 cylinder I believe. The new ones are 4 cylinders. Anyone that has one, how does the power compare. I don’t think the new ones have Turbo. How does the H500 compare?
How is the proper way to do a cost benefit analysis on whether to upgrade? I feel I’m missing something.
I may go for a test drive later this week to see how it compares, driving-wise.
Also, off topic: how come I can’t post in the RX350 forum? I can’t figure what rule is preventing me from posting.
Thank you.
Hey all,
I have an option to buy a fully loaded 2017 Rx 350 f sport for 22k from family.
I wanted to know how this car holds up now compared to newer Lexus Rx models and if anyone has experienced any long term issues with this model/year.
The car has only 48k miles on it and it's been kept perfectly maintained.
Thank you!
My 2021 Lexus is 300 is about to hit 40k miles. Is there anything specific i should have serviced other than an oil change? Do i need to do a break fluid flush or transmission flush or anything like that?
Hi, had my purple 2006 GS450H for a few months now, love it. This is my second GS. I had a 2007 GS300 7 years ago but someone stole it and crashed it :( Does anyone have any aftermarket rim suggestions? Was also thinking of lowering it but I like how comfortable the drive is so don’t want lowering it to impact the drive to much.
rang my boss and asked and he said “what’s something a Lexus i has that most cars don’t” and said it was obvious but I’m so stumped. Bought this car not too long ago so I’m pretty new to them, pls help.

Hello guys, I have a question so I drive a Lexus ES 300 H 2017 my miles per gallon is 26 and me even trying so hard to get more than that. I get 35 and that’s driving under the speed limit literally not drivable in the streets so I feel like somethings wrong with my car and also I got into an accident and I fixed the car and now it’s getting 22 miles per gallon, so I think something is wrong. Can you guys please help me? Do you guys have any ideas?
Got a 2019 Lexus ES350 with about 57k on the odometer. Recently I got the spark plugs replaced by my mechanic in Minnesota and then drove the car cross country to Houston Texas. The past few days I’ve noticed that whenever the AC is on it doesn’t feel as smooth in terms of the power, acceleration, and at a traffic light there’s a noticeable steering wheel vibration. None of these are occurring when I have the AC off. Wondering if it’s a spark plug issue or a weird quirk of this vehicle. Also do you have any reliable but affordable mechanics in the Houston area that work on Toyota or Lexus? Thank you!
NX350h
Loud and slow
Going from a Corolla doing 30+ mpg, 50 mpg this is insane for such a big and heavy car. Way more than the EPA estimate 43/44 mpg
I have a 2021 Lexus RX-L, lease is ending in 2 months.
I am thinking of getting a car loan to buy it out right or go car max sell it get some cash and put it towards a new Lexus lease.
Or…buy it and maybe sell it in about 3-6 as a private party, thinking I can get more $ that way if I own car out right and sell it to someone else.
I know they discontinued this model and hoping the resale value is more if I sell it myself.
What would you do in my position?
Just wanted to get some of your guys opinion.
Any ideas on fixing? It has over 300k miles and it would be neat to track it. Also, tachometer shows it approx. 100-200 RPM while warm, and redlines below actual redline. Any ideas on fixing? Thanks.
Got it for $6500 with 58k miles, it has a rebuilt title but its structurally sound and drives beautifully
I’ve got a very fresh inside and out 2012 CT200h, perfect carfax records of every maintenance visit, and the engine blew a head gasket because for some reason there’s no temp gauge and there real way to tell if your car is overheating until it’s too late. I got a great price on it, 193K miles, I spent less than 5.5K on it. I’m looking for a compatible Gen 4 Prius engine and I’m wondering if anyone has done this swap before with success. I’ve read 2015 is a better year to look for engines., as well as 2018.
If anyone has done this, please drop the part number for the engine in the comments so j in can start looking. I drive my personal vehicle for a living and I’m just trying to get back to work. Thanks everyone.
If you guys could please help me figure out this would be great so I bought a car at salvage title 2017 Lexus ES 300 H about 47,000 miles when I bought it and I was always getting around 26 miles per gallon. I tried driving the slowest possible even under the speed limit, and I barely could even hold 35 miles per gallon. And I recently got to an accident and now I’m barely even getting 22 miles per gallon and I drive normally and someone told me maybe I should change the spark plugs but any ideas of what I should do please and thanks.
Is 64k for the car good deal? (67k with tax and fees) with 6kmiles. Noticed minor dent on rear bumper and some scratches mostly on the rear end. Would Lexus dealer be able to repaint the bumper?
Got to take my LC out for a ride today
Hi yall, I'm really on the fence of picking one of these up vs getting another newer ux hybrid.
We want it as a commuter car for ~40miles round trip a day ++ a small road trip every 3 months (350mi round trip). What are yall real world experiences with the Rz300e? Is range significantly lower than 266 when using air conditioning, 2 adults in the car etc?
Anything else to be worried about with the rz? Or yall would recommend as owners?
I'm in bay area California so weather is never harshly cold
I need my rear brakes and rotors replaced for my 2019 NX 300 F Sport. The mechanic mentioned that there are “special” brake systems I need because my car is a f sport. Is this true? Can I just use regular NX 300 brakes for my car?
Just want to know if this is valid or if it’s not necessary and the mechanic is trying to get more $.
This particular model is the IS 300 awd which has a 4cylinder turbo. I haven't been able to really find antyhing online about it. Everything online for the awd 300 is v6 but this vehicle is equiped with the 4cylinder turbo and awd f sport option. Thoughts and opinions???
I've got a TX 500h and want to mount a dash cam. The problem is there are several sensors behind the windshield and I don't want to interfere with any of them. Owner's manual is unhelpful and doesn't really give any guidelines. Anyone have any advice?
I've wasted a lot of money on a lot of stupid things but this is the first time I've spent more than I wanted to on a car and have 0 remorse. 21' LS500 Fsport AWD. Magnificent!
Anyone have any links/suggestions for Bluetooth Apple CarPlay units? Please suggest ones that don’t damage the stock vehicle features like mirror heat and rear heat. I need a unit that can still have everything intact. (Not the Tesla style screens either please, but the regular rectangular one.) thanks!
