Why is it so hard to find these cars how many were in production I only found one a week ago on carvana and as soon as I clicked on the link it was already being bought. I just want to get my hands on one cuz they're so clean looking
Have a 2019 Nissan Altima SR with 169,000 miles (hwy mileage).Had it for 6 years went out December 2024. Should I get it replaced? Mechanic wants 4k to fix. Is it worth it?
Location is Saskatoon. Got a nissan Sentra 2024 last August. I only did street parking since I don’t have garage.
The temperature drops to -25 degrees since a few days ago. I tested my battery voltage after shutting down my car for 30 mins. It is 11.89V only!!??? How come? I spend 20 mins to drive 20KM to work every day. Is it still considered not driving enough for charging up the battery? Is that just me?
this notification started popping up on my dash and it’s making a very annoying beeping sound along with it , I have a 2018 nissan sentra
Hey folks, i am lifting my wifes cube with a simple 2" (40mm) kit just tonget a little more clearance and slightly bigger tires. The OG size is 195/60 R15. Could we get away with 195/70/r16? Any thoughts appreciated. Jabs that i am sure will follow are less appreciated but suit yourself. Just lookin for good info
Hi all! My 2019 Nissan Rogue (65k miles) is making noise when I drive over bumps. I brought it into the dealer and they said my right rear wheel bearing was bad so it needed to be replaced. Luckily I have the Nissan Gold Preferred Extended Warranty and it was covered (just had to pay a $100 deductible). I took the car home and have been driving it a few days and still hear the noise. I’ve been told typically if one wheel bearing is bad they should replace them all. Is this true? The Nissan dealer said it is not but I’m wondering if they want me to keep bringing it in so I have to keep paying the deductible.
I'm buying my first car and found a goodish deal on a 04 Titan it got new brakes in the last 10k miles but it has 146k overall. Overall I'm just wondering if this is a bad idea as a first vehicle?
05 Titan, P0300 no other codes. Won't rev past 3k in park or past 1k in gear forward or rev. Changed plugs and coils. Checked fuel pressure, it's 55psi. Checked MAF readings, normal. One bank seems like it running lean and the other rich. What should I do next? I live on an island in Alaska and going to a dealership is not an option
Hopefully we have some Nissan Service Techs that can answer my question.
If I have an ecu from the same model/year/engine/transmission as my car, can I take it to Nissan, have them program it for my car via VIN #? I would prefer to install it myself. Is that an option?
I have a 2018 Platinum Reserve with less than 90k miles that I was thinking of trading in. If you go to kbb and manually enter it as a Platinum Reserve with standard equipment it reports a trade-in value between 25-29k.
However, if you search by VIN or tag #, it calls it a Platinum sport with no option where it even says platinum reserve. For that level, kbb says the trade in value is between 15-18k.
Also, any cash offer by a dealer, Carvana and CarMax are in the 17-18k range.
I was told by the dealership that this was because they only consider the Platinum Reserve and package and not a trim level. If this is the case, why is there even an option on kbb for a Platinum Reserve. Very disappointed. Anybody else encounter this?
I've searched all through here and haven't found a post like this, so here goes. I have a 2015 Pathfinder SV with 135K miles. Recently, the truck started chugging/jerking/stuttering as it neared the shift point at low speeds. I googled and saw a ton of Nissan related issues similar to that and I assumed this was just a normal CVT Judder that I had to live with. After a few months of living with it, we had a situation where we lost the only set of keys to the truck and it sat in the driveway for a week. A locksmith came out and had to reprogram a key fob to get it to start. The truck is a push button start. He worked for an hour trying to get different keys to work, and finally, last ditch effort, an Altima key fob worked. The locksmith told me, "I have no idea why it's working, but it's working." Apparently, he'd been in business for nearly 20 years and never had such trouble out of a vehicle. After the new key was programmed, I noticed that the shaking/stuttering in the shifting was noticeably worse. Particularly when idling along (like in a parking lot) - foot off the gas, just letting the idle roll the vehicle forward. I pulled the codes from the OBD and got several related to intake: P0101, P0171, P0174, P0507. I pulled the MAF Sensor, cleaned it with MAF Sensor cleaner. I changed the air filter to one with a firm screen backing and I replaced the air intake manifold (it was cracked in multiple places) with a new one. While I had everything apart, I cleaned the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. I was hopeful that all of these steps would fix the issue. On a test drive after performing that servicing, the truck started refusing to move forward. It stalled out and had to be towed home. The engine would start and run fine, but pressing the gas only gave an engine rev, no forward motion. I also noticed a whining noise that I hadn't heard before - almost like a pump trying to work too hard. I watched several videos about testing MAF sensors and the wiring harness leading to them. I got out a multimeter and performed the test. The plug has four pins. Three of them showed 5.0V and one pin had 0 V. From my understanding, at least one pin should register 12.0V with the key in an 'on' position. Also, using the continuity test function on the multimeter, I couldn't find a ground on any of the plugs. (Black lead to car battery, read lead to pins on wiring harness.) So, now I'm at a loss for what to do. I've gone from thinking it was a transmission issue, to MAF Sensor, to Torque Converter, to maybe ECM? I just don't know how to start eliminating problems. I also read somewhere that if the battery every gets disconnected, you need to do the throttle 're-learn' procedure. A few months ago, I did have to replace the battery in the truck - it's possible that the chugging/jerking started after I changed the battery, but I didn't put two and two together at the time. If you have any thoughts, if you have any suggestions, I'd be most grateful. I really need to get this vehicle back on the road.
Nav voice and radio play fine. If I switch to radio then back music works again for a bit before problem repeats. They just replaced the head unit and on the drive home started again. They are clueless on what to to next. Any ideas?
Thank you
So I bought a second hand e-power Qashqai from may 2023 at a Nissan retail. So far everything works fine and I like it a lot. I've only been having it for a week on less than 50km trips.
However I've recently read that the generator is subject to some issues, I've found a bunch of facebook groups and forums mentionning it but I can't really figure out if its a real common issue or just bad luck. The generator is said to be a €15k piece of hardware which worries me a lot. My vehicule currently has 16k km and is under warranty until may 2026.
- Should I be worried about this generator issue, would you guys advise for warranty extension ?
- I find it weird that the e-power battery level never reaches full charge ? It usually charges up until right above half level. Is it because I'd need longer highway trip and my urban usage prevents it from fully charging ?
Thanks !
Please guys does anyone know why my nissan kicks 2020 SR showing all this warning lights when I go over 110km/h that leads the car to slow down and when I turn it off all the lights dissappear.
So a deer recently ran out in front of me and i’m going to need a new bumper, grill, hood, headlight, and fender and for a while i’ve been wanting to do some work to my car anyways. i was wondering if i were to swap all of that out for 2012 parts if it would all fit correctly. or would that not work? i love my 2008 i just like the sportier look that the 2010-2012 models have mainly the hood and headlights.
Never owned a Nissan before, just got a 2019 Frontier, very happy with it other than this one thing.
When I connect my phone, all the hands-free buttons work, my music works. The system and people I'm calling can hear my voice.
The problem is that I can't hear any sound from the system (other than music both on the radio and through Bluetooth). Notably the hands-free audio, button beeps, and phone calls. I have gone through every setting and the volume is turned up on both my phone and truck.
Do I need Nissan Connect for it to work properly? I have an Android phone.
TIA!
Hey gang, I’ve been looking for a dealership service manual for my 2020 Armada. I found one for my 2016 Altima on another forum, but all the newer manuals seem to be behind a $1k/year paywall.
Anyone else run into this? I’m thinking of contacting Nissan, since I can’t believe they expect owners to pay a subscription to do basic repairs on their own car… Any suggestions for online resources I might try?
2008 Armada, 190k Miles. Drives well, not sputtering or bucking. Randomly, for no rhyme or reason will stall and lose all power. But will start right back up without issue and idles fine. I'm not reading any codes, but I just have a generic scan tool.
So far I have replaced: Battery, MAF Sensor, Crankshaft Sensor.
Could a faulty fuel pump do this?
Update: Trying a new ECM Relay, seems to be a common failure point.
Any help appreciated!
Hey guys,
I am looking for a reliable car for my business and personal use. I currently am driving my companies 2022 Ram 1500 but need a car for myself. I am starting my own business and need to use this vehicle for both work and personal.
Found on craigslist a decent looking 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum V7 V6 with a 3rd row. This car is spacious for my family and in decent condition. However I wanted to see how reliable this car is and if there's anything I should know before meeting with the seller. Any help is appreciated!
I am not a mechanic but have done a few minor repairs on previous vehicles (Brakes, transfer cases, and header gaskets. ) But not confident in myself to replace or repair transmissions or engines.
Thank you for your input and advice
This might be a reach but I need help please! I bought my Nissan Micra 2015 second hand and the battery died which locked me out of my radio. I’ve tried calling dealerships but they want me to bring the car in for a service just to get the code. I’ve also contacted the previous owner and they don’t know anything about the radio pin code which is missing out of the owner handbook. Just trying to find an easier (& cheaper) way of getting my music up and running again!
Hey all!
Does anyone have any idea what touch up marker you can get from either Advance/AutoZone or Amazon that is the closest or exact match to Electric Blue Metallic? Got a couple small knicks on a 2024 Nissan Kicks. Thanks!
Anybody know how I may be able to fix this?
