I had to share this in a place where I knew people would get it.
My friend is a die-hard Bronco fan and took me to the game tonight. Jameis was having an all-time Jameis game. Under two minutes to go, he comes on the field down two. I look at my buddy stone-faced and go "he's about to throw a pick-six on this drive."
My buddy looks at me incredulous and goes, "how do you know, he's got 400 yards on us already?!"
"Just trust me," I replied.
Sure enough, a few plays later JaQuan McMillian takes a pick to the house and ices the game for Denver. My buddy looked at me in shock and I just gave him the Jordan shrug. Any Tampa fan could have told you what was about to happen.
God love Jameis, I'm just glad I dont have to ride that roller coaster anymore.
“Buchanan, also known as “Bucky”, had a historic season in 2024, earning All-CFL honours after shattering former Super Bowl winner Jon Ryan’s record for single-season punting average by more than three yards. He punted 107 times for 5,773 yards, leading the league in both gross average at 54.0 yards per kick and net average with 40.0 yards. He also tied for the CFL lead with eight punts inside the 10-yard-line and recorded 15 singles, including a memorable game-winner in overtime”
Can’t wait to see how this guy transitions to the NFL
Career day for the young man. Love to see it. LFG!
To not lose another 1 score heartbreaker but what the absolute fuck were we doing being in a one score heartbreak position against the panthers?
I’m not sure what to take more away from this in regard to us vs them cuz while maybe they are just hitting their stride a bit, we can’t be doing that shit again lol
It seems every team can slice through our defense like a hot knife through butter, my question is: why don’t we blitz more often? That way we have more opportunities for splash plays and even if we leave ourselves vulnerable it would’ve been easy enough for the opposing offense anyway, am I missing something?
Hello,
I am going to the last game of the season, against the Saints, on January 5th, all the way from Quebec, Canada. I would need some recommandations or tips about pretty much everything to do with game day!
Important to note that I have never attended a single game of NFL in my life, and it has been a lifelong goal of mine for quite some time, one thing that I will probably never do again, and want to experience the best Raymond James Stadium, and Tampa, has to offer!
Thanks fellow bucs fans!
Dude was super careful to make sure he had it before falling on it. Looked like he had it and thought about running with it and then decided to get down. He could have not taken his time and ball could have slipped out and wed all be saying bucs life.
Of course the strip is a hero play^tm but so is the recovery.
Go Bucs!
We've had a day to digest that mess. Chat about the game below.
Is it me or are there many facemasks calls that are missed?
It looked to me that Baker got his face ask grabbed twice yesterday. One on the scramble for the first down, and one when he got stepped on. TV didn't show a good replay of either of these.
Also, we had the one missed against the Falcons and the phantom facemask called on Wirfs.
What is video assist supposed to do? I've only seen it used on ineligible man down field. Facemask is a very clear did/didn't grab, seems like perfect place for it.
At what point do we pull out the pitchforks for Todd Bowles, clearly our offense (which he has little or nothing to do with) is the only thing keeping us in the game.
We made Bryce look like Steve Young out there, he carved our defense and the only reason it wasn’t worse was due to mistakes their team made. They also got robbed that touchdown in the back of the end zone, it was clear as day a catch and secure.
Not to mention special teams which besides McLaughlin is laughably bad, on all sides. Why we have what should be our #1 back with Bucky returning kick offs is questionable, why we have Gill doing our 30 yard punts and kick offs that result in penalties is insanity.
He’s responsible for mainly the defense (which again is awful) and making sure the team is prepared come game day (which they clearly aren’t)
I am ready to move on from Todd Bowles. I am happy he helped win us a Super Bowl, but his defense is predictable, boring and forces our offense to play perfectly in order to win games. He wasted Tom Brady’s last year in the NFL, and has just failed upwards.
2 weeks ago we were at a 29% chance to make the playoff, last week we were at a 42% chance, and now after this win and the Falcons loss we currently sit at a 59% chance!
Big update with this week is we are finally in control of our own destiny so if we win out there’s a 100% chance we make it.
With 5 games left this is our odds of making it depending on how many of those we win:
2/5 gives us a 10% chance
3/5 gives us a 49% chance
4/5 gives us a 94% chance
We play the raiders next week and a win against them would boost us up to a 64% chance to make it.
Second most important game to watch is the Falcons Vs Viking. A Vikings win would boost our odds by another 3%.
Currently our 3 mostly likely first round playoff opponents are the Packers(19% chance), Vikings(18%), and Eagles(9%).
Happy about the victory!! ✌🏾 but I think it’s time we talk about this guy. How the fook is this guy still our punter? Dude has a 22 yard punt wtf was that? Literally went to overtime because shankton Gil can’t hit a ball with his foot far enough. Please Bowles and licht stop the madness get him off this team. No way in hell is he the best punter out there.
Had a family gathering to attend. Left after the second interception and the Panthers had a first and goal iirc. I fired Todd Bowles multiple times after we left but somehow they only got a FG? I saw we lost significant yardage on 3d down from the Panther 2 and then everyone here was screaming at the punter. And we somehow won in OT because of a fumble but man, it was so terrible while I was watching.
Can someone summarize what I missed (including the punt)? Feel free to let your personal flair and creativity shine in the responses.
Wish I had Sunday Ticket so I could go back and replay it.
A little piece of advice, it's always worth going to the Bucs and Panthers matchup in Charlotte. Tickets are dirt cheap, Charlotte is a great city, and Bank of America stadium is really nice. Plus, you get to represent in enemy territory! Go bucs 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
New wallpaper alert??
Falcons and Commanders play each other. Any result in this game would put the Bucs in the playoffs, if we win out. Assuming the 49ers lose
Bucs win out, two outcomes.
Falcons beat commanders and we control our destiny for the 7 seed.
Commanders beat Falcons and we control our destiny for the division
We should officially be in the drivers seat after tonight.
