...I rather go back to watching Ta'amu come just short of a comeback drive than watch the Broncos struggle to score more than 16 points EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
I miss spring football.
Also do USFL players have contracts that go beyond a year or are they all basically free agents?
See you next year
With today's loss to the New Orleans Breakers, our season is all but officially over.
I've been saying for weeks that our offense relies on Ta'amu to a fault and we don't have any key players at RB or the offensive line. Today couldn't be a better example.
When your QB passes for four touchdowns (most of any QB this season), 333 yards (double his average PYPG) and 67.5% completion and you still lose, you know your team's out of balance. Not saying Ta'amu's perfect by any means. Obviously he got us off to a bad start on that first series. But it doesn't feel like there's anyone else consistently making plays on offense.
Are there just not any free agents out there that would be an improvement? 'Cause it's driving me a little nuts watching other team making mid-season signings at kicker, QB and other positions, while we apparently ignore the glaring holes in our team and sit on our hands.
