I’m looking for recommendations to authentic Polish or Eastern European cuisine in the Tampa Bay area.
Hey y’all. I’ve gotten a little tired of Ybor and downtown. Is there any good nightlife in west Tampa?
Is there anywhere you can make your own wine in Tampa or the surrounding areas? Crushing grapes with your feet and being hands on with the process
I was walking around this morning and saw it blocked off. I searched for events going on but didn’t see anything online. Does Anton know why the street is closed today? Thanks.
I have a 2013 GMC that needs transmission work. I’ve had a place tell me that I need a completely new transmission, but that’s wildly expensive. Does anyone have a recommendation of an honest shop/technician in town where I can go for a second opinion?
Mainly looking for cookies and cannolis

Long story short, I hired a company to convert my garage to a living space in July of 2023 and they still haven’t finished. They’ve been increasingly hard to get ahold of. Before I tell them to take a hike, I wanted to make sure I had someone else that could finish the job. I know, contractors are probably super busy these days so I may be out of luck for a while, but wanted to see if anyone could recommend someone reliable.
Hey guys,
The repair on my home is taking a while and I'm curious if others are experiencing delays. I had flood damage from Helene and initially the contractor estimate for removal and mold remediation was 5-7 days. Then they said two weeks since they had to remove subflooring and get an electrician inspection. It's been two weeks and removal is done. Now they're saying another 1-2 weeks for mold remediation. Is this normal?
Man took out an entire block (he was okay)
Has anyone had success with fema appeal letters?
I have significant damage and lost power for a week. I am able to stay in my home, but was approved 30 days lodging. Finally got my inspection today and was denied for everything else. For some reason I thought I would at least get the 750.
Anyone who was successful mind giving any advice or have an example letter of what the wrote fema in the appeal?
Has anyone seen an increase lately in the amount of road rage? I’ve never seen anything like this, especially at night. People tailgating so close and flashing high beams, people throwing the bird, and reckless driving and weaving lanes. I’ve lived here long and I’ve never ever seen it so bad.
If anyone was in Tampa airport near the enterprise rental and found a brown/tan wallet that was timberland I think let me know. I can verify details of the contents. Don’t care about the cash, just want my card and picture that was included in it.
I’m wondering if anyone has visited Hillsborough River State Park since Hurricane Milton. We’re thinking of heading up there this weekend and would love to know how the park held up. Is there any damage to trails or facilities? Any updates or recent experiences would be helpful. Thanks!
I'm thinking about going into HVAC and have set up an appointment at the Brandon campus. The reviews don't look too promising, however. Has anyone gone for this program or others and want to share their experience??
Hi! Am inquiring to see if anyone knows where I might be able to park a truck and lawn trailer with small warehouse or shed.
Does anyone know where I can purchase cold smoked mackarel? I’ve called a bunch of European markets in Clearwater/Dunedin/Citrus Park areas but they all only had hot smoked in stock. Willing to travel to purchase some. Thank you!
I’m down here working for the storm relief we have the weekend off and I’ve always wanted to fish off shore if anyone knows anyone or know of a good charter I’d really appreciate it!
My wife became an official citizen this year and was excited to cast her first vote for the US. Where she is from you are fined by the government if you don’t vote and she still doesn’t understand how people don’t exercise this right.
When she was sworn in as a citizen they had people at the courthouse encouraging all the new citizens to register to vote, so obviously she did. She signed whatever forms were needed and went about her life waiting for the election times. Then on Wednesday I wanted to go vote early since I had previously had an issue in another state that I couldn’t figure out my exact location needed to attend and unable to vote. and since early voting allows you to cast your ballot at any location within your county I thought this would make it quick and easy… not exactly we found out.
We show up to vote, neither of our ID will scan and have to be inputted manually. My info shows up and I fill out a change of address form, and cast my votes. My wife’s never shows up. The woman had to make a phone call to the elections office to see if she’s registered… she is however she is considered an unverified voter and can only cast a provisional ballot unless she verifies her identity to the elections office. We were luckily like 4 miles from the office and were able to make it there to verify and back to the ballots to cast her vote in time before they closed.
This just got me thinking though… if we did this on Election Day there would have been no time to get back and forth as I am sure others would have issues or lines would be longer.
Get out and vote everyone, it’s a luxury we have and don’t all take advantage of.
Anyone else notice tap water being yellow recently? I just came home from a work trip in Boston for the past 3 days so I guess it could have started days ago, but I was just refilling my Brita filter when I noticed the water is significantly yellow. If I have properly filtered this with a carbon filter, it should be safe to drink, right?
Has anyone seen this dude driving around Wesley Chapel, usually around 5-7 am? Hes always in either a bright yellow jeep or a bright orange convertible. He wears an american flag cowboy hat that he loves to wave at anyone near him. Ive been seeing this dude for 2 years and he is always absolutely zoinked out
is it just me, or are other people also having their internet cut out every afternoon this week? my hypothesis is that spectrum hasn't returned to full network capacity since the storm and when usage peaks (especially amongst us work-from-homers jumping on afternoon video calls), the network crashes.
anyone else experiencing this? anyone know what's happening?
Has anyone noticed a significant drop in water pressure in the New Tampa Area? Particularly around BBD and Cross Creek?
