Lockn' Music Fest in Virginia.

Hey everyone. It feels like in these uncertain times it’s hard to remember all the good times we had .. and good times we still could have. I, for one, remain hopeful that Lockn will return.
It’s just hard to believe that getting a group of likeminded folks together (at this point folks are begging for festivals) isn’t a profitable venture. If the powers that be own the property, what’s holding them back? I could almost guarantee a lockn would be near capacity at this point.
Hey all! I went year one with my new boyfriend at the time (now married with a kid yada yada) and it was literally the best festival either of us have ever been to. And we’ve been to a bunch—we were both bouncing around the scene for years before we joined forces. Lockin’ —or Interlocken if you remember!— was only like 6 months into our relationship and I think that festival set our path together in stone. Magical times.
Anywho! The Oak Tree is the symbol of that festival. It was so grand and beautiful and the shade was life saving. We laughed and bonded and made so many friends. We saw the most hilarious things sitting under that tree. Every person loved the tree, it was such a funny, loving place to spend our time.
Does anyone have a picture of the tree? Maybe not even from back then but boy, that would be a real hoot. I did look on the farm’s website and it’s not what I’m hoping for. I am an artist and I’m looking for a picture of the tree so I can make a drawing or a painting of it. I want it to be a gift for my husband but I’d be happy to make a print and gift it to the picture taker.
Have a great day, thanks for your time ☮️
Curious about updates on a once great festival. I went the first 4 years and our crew always had a blast. Did not attend after 2016 (kiddo was born). Such a gorgeous venue but between the pandemic and the 3 mini fests, can there/will there be a rising from the deaf situation where Lockn returns? Thought I remember that Shappy bought the farm? Why let it sit idle?
I received a letter the other day that mentions a hearing at the local courthouse that is planned for tonight, in relation to Lockn and zoning for a music festival. No idea if this is in regard to existing stuff or if its for the future, but maybe we find something out tonight?
For reference, I live just over a mile away from event grounds, and it seems that all neighboring property owners have been notified and invited to attend.
When I get home from work, I'll try to post a photo of the letter on here. I'm thinking of attending, out of morbid curiosity at the very least. It begins at 7pm (i think) in the general district courthouse of Nelson County in Lovingston, Va. and is open to the public.
The last couple years have hemorrhaged money and the Lockn farm fiasco last year was a disaster. The final nail in the coffin. They are too far in the red to bring in any big acts. It’s a bummer for sure but the management of the entire festival was shotty at best.
I have ones from 18, 19, and 14. I’m looking to fill in the gaps. eBay posters, for the most part are priced way to high. Anyone have some for sale?
Hello ! Im on the hunt for a 2014 poster. Any out there for sale ? Thanks !
Will we ever go back?
I have a ticket and a car camping pass I can’t use for Saturday. Message me an e-mail address, and it’s yours. Free to good home.
Excited to FINALLY head back out to the Farm this weekend for TTB!
Doesn’t seem like shuttle passes are available on the Lockn site.
Anyone have any recent experience with Uber or Lyft at the Farm?
I live in Cville and a few years when I’ve wanted/needed to scoot home I’ve been able to get an Uber without issue.
What’s the scene like now? Are there drivers? I’m especially curious about Saturday night.
Not gonna miss the party in Garcia’s Forest
I can’t make it to TTB Fest unfortunately. I’ve got 2 tickets and a camping pass for Friday only. Just trying to recoup some my cost on this one. Hit me up!
Got in later yesterday and the merch booth said they sold out fast. Anyone got an extra they're willing to sell back?
Hey all, Shapiro said last weekend that the tickets people bought for the JRAD weekend can be used for entry to the Goose weekend and Tedeschi Trucks as well (I think it might be an either/or situation). In any case, if anyone wants my ticket with the bar code on it, message me, I'll sell it well below face. It's legit, I promise, I was there all weekend, Shapiro said they can be used for the upcoming events as a consolation due to the shitty weather last weekend. Message me if you're interested.
I emailed front gate but haven't heard back yet. We are not camping, but will be parking our car onsite. Will we be able to go out to the car (dry shoes, change clothes, water etc) and come back in to the show field? I know they allow people to leave for the camping site, but can you go out to the parking area? Obviously, they'd recheck our bags etc.
Thanks for any info.
Anyone know how to stream the free live streams? URL isn't working.
Trying to buy a shuttle ticket from Charlottesville for Saturday and/or Sunday but doesn't look like they're selling them. Anyone know?
I have tickets for next weekend and I am trying to see how this weekend goes before deciding to come next weekend or not for pandemic reasons. I would love it if anyone there could share some info about what it’s like this weekend, crowd size, enough room to spread out, any mask wearing going on, etc?
Thanks and I hope everyone has a great time this weekend! I know the music will be awesome!
It’s gonna be HOT!
I spent $600, let me know if you want them. Ideally you want all three. They are digital tickets and I can email you the tickets. Venmo for $$$.
Have tickets for the JRAD event this weekend, have been to many festivals but this is my first Lock'n.
Cannot find on the website or in emails what the arrival time is for on-site camping.
I have two electronic tickets to sell. Open to offers but hoping to get $125 each. Save over front gate price then go buy your camping pass.
