I thought the guess of Saturday night live was a good one, but didn't turn out to be true. Did anyone figure out the reason?
So I connected my wristband to use cashless at the festival, but I haven't seen anything about how they deactivate it? I haven't been able to verify that my card isn't still in a system somewhere. Does anyone know how it works?
Did anyone happen to snag or write down Chris Stapleton and Orville Peck’s set lists for ACLFest Weekend 2, October 11 & 13 respectively? I was there but was enjoying the shows too much to try and write the set list down and I like to make concert playlists after the fact. I’ve been checking setlist.fm and W2 hasn’t had any updates and I know they were different than W1. TIA!!
Does anyone how tips are handled in ACL’s system? My friends and I keep coming back to how tipping did or did not work at ACL this year. One day, one of us spent about $400 in the merchandise tent and when they got to the checkout, they felt too rushed to think critically about the preset tip of 15% (roughly $30). They spent less than a minute with the cashier, who doesn’t scan the merchandise because the system does this automatically now, but left a $30 tip. At that rate, if the money went to the cashier, they could make $2000 per hour. That’s an extreme case, but where we saw where tips could be accumulated very quickly. Every time we bought food or drinks, we left a tip on the machine. These folks may be more “deserving” (a team of people to make and serve the food which takes times and effort in a hot place that’s not air conditioned). We assume they work for the specific food vendor and not “ACL”. Of course they may never see any of this money? Since all payment goes through a central system, it’s possible the tips never even make it to the vendors. Do tips make it the vendor? Do vendors then decide how to parcel out the tips? We’re very curious about this.
Shoutout to the real MVP of the weekend, the CLOUDS! First festival and it was vibes all W1!
These are very special to me. 🥰 I call them my ‘Trophies.’
They’re on the top shelf in my office, backdropped by my totem that I made for ACL in 2021. 🤘🏼
did anyone witness the christian’s at the exits after the festival was over holding signs saying we would rot in hell and screaming at people to “repent” ? i feel like there were also projectors projecting fire behind them or something like that but i honestly could be imagining that part i was not sober😭 there was a big group posted up close to the food trucks. honestly felt like a fever dream in the moment cuz the chaos of it all. Just randomly was thinking back on it and realized how absurd that was, they were doing way too much. one dude screamed in my ear “repent in the name of jesus or burn in hell ” with a megaphone, shit was violating😩 people were walking past like it was completely normal and nobody else has been talking or posting about it is this just that normalized in our day and age or what? insane approach to get people to convert if that was the case
Me and my girlfriend were in the vendor area and saw these really nice handcrafted blankets. They were too big and bulky to buy at the time (and hot!) they had a nice woven handmade style to them, they were mexican style but a single color.
They were either part of the booth doing custom bandannas or the one right next to it.
Meant to come back, but forgot… along with the name of the vendor!
I even looked up the vendor list at ACL and search their sites individually, don’t see it.
Long shot but can someone help me out?
Week 2 day 2 they were sold out when I went 😭 I collect pins and was hoping to get one while I was there. I’ve checked google, ACLs merch online, and Facebook marketplace with no luck
Ok so this is a long looooong shot but also a “dear baby Jesus prayer” but if any of y’all follow Shakira she cancelled her North American tour because she had a huge demand for tickets and was only performing in arenas. She rescheduled her tour in 2025 and now will be in stadiums. A huge difference! But also with ACL’s diversity of artists, which I am loving because I listen to a lot of global artists and ACL made it possible to see some this year. But here’s my fan “speculation”, since we’ve had Dua and Chappell and with C3 Presents (LiveNation) goal of trying to be the most talked about festival with record breaking attendance, thoughts on possibility of Shakira being a headliner for ACL 2025??
Personally I’d love this and understand the crowd size would not sit well with a lot but Shakira as a Headliner at ACL, sure would be extremely record breaking to me! 😁😉🎤
Also, reminder to be kind and respectful to comments and opinions. Thanks. 🫶🏼
I'm a New Yorker cartoonist who stood behind this family during Chappell Roan's weekend 1 performance. The two little girls sat on their parents' shoulders, and them singing/dancing along to Pink Pony Club while holding hands actually made me cry. It seemed like such a special moment! If we can find them (however unlikely given enormous crowd), I'd love to gift them this cartoon <3
On Friday if weekend 2 I got a PL parisol/umbrella from the merch tent. I tried to bring it back in on Sunday and they confiscated it during bag check : (1 can't believe they would have an item in the merch tent at a festival that isn't allowed inside the festival?!? At the time I was too upset to get another one, l even checked at the same entrance to see if it was still there but it was gone. Anyone know where to get one online? I figured if I was still thinking about it in a week I would try to find a replacement and no luck! I really wish I had it now. I'm not sure when/if I'll get to see pretty lights again since he doesn't tour a lot.
I know a lot of people were wanting to get a blanket but they were sold out before they could. I just ordered one today, they are back up for preorder if anyone else was looking.
anyone know where I can get this ACL hat or anyone with an extra one, had no luck finding one weekend 2 :(
I was coming from out-of-state, and I'm very well aware of the U.S. in general having terrible public transportation, but for a city who's trying to encourage public transportation around the festival, why were the last buses on Sundays at 10:23PM?
I took the shuttle from Republic Square everyday of the festival, which worked out great until Sunday night. There was no way to finish Tyler, the Creator's set in order to catch the last bus. Feels like a misstep. Surely, they could've paid overtime for 1-2 more drivers to go later???
Edit: I don't know what kind of satisfaction from people who didn't even take the bus in trying to gaslight me and my friend's experience in trying to catch the buses after Sunday night. I left early to catch the bus. My friend stayed and had to take a Lyft BECAUSE NO BUS 7 WAS COMING AFTER THE SHOW.
My friends wanted to leave during the Maria's set so I didn't get to watch the whole thing. Would have been a fun collab if they did.
This is a total long shot but I had bought a small wooden art piece from Easy Street Prints on Sunday at the festival and stupidly put it down and forgot about it while at the bar at Barton Springs Saloon.
If anyone happened to come across it I would love to get it back. 🙏
I was missing the epic weekend so I went through the lineup from W1 & W2 and hopefully did a good job of capturing the majority of the artists. I gave a little extra love to some of my favorites like Renee Rapp, Santigold and Chappell.
Also, my DJ name is an homage to the singer in Being Dead, Falcon Bitch.
Here’s a link. Enjoy:

Just came here to say if you went to the jungle DJ set at concourse project last weekend….jesus christ that was insane and the best $40 I’ve ever spent
I figure it’s a longshot, but should anyone have buyer’s remorse…
I goofed and only got a t shirt, and I’ve been thinking about the sweatshirt that was for sale and how I didn’t get it too 😭.
(Will happily remove the post if it’s not allowed)
I had a great time on weekend 2 and for some reason I see a bunch of people complaining so much about the festival this year. The main things I'm seeing are: Blink-182 talked too much, Sound quality (partially valid), I saw one post that said Tyler shouldn't of headlined, the heat, chairs and blankets, etc.
I feel like the whole point is to enjoy the weekend and have fun. If that kind of stuff ruins it that's on you.
did any of u in the front barricade of AMX stage on Sunday weekend two see Chris rock he passed a few times lol
