If anyone is looking to make friends and chat about a wide range of topics, my friends made a discord server that everyone is welcome to join and come chat at :)
Figured it would be a good way to social with everyone locked away inside =)
So, I just realized that, at this point last year, we had known the dates for Panorama 2018 for almost a month, and were a little less than a month out from the lineup. With nary a peep about another installment of the festival and Pinknic taking place right around when it would normally happen, I think it's pretty safe to say that Panorama is dead...or, at the very least, taking a year off, although I'm more inclined to believe that it's over.
That being the case, I went back and ranked every set I saw over the festival's three years as a way of pouring one out for it. I only went Sunday of 2016 due to having had to be out of town for work part of that weekend, so it's not as complete as I'd like, but there you go. Also of note: This is just one dude's opinion, all based on my personal tastes (e.g., I know the Frank Ocean set was special, but in terms of how much I actually personally enjoyed it, it wasn't as much as the others that I put above it. All just my personal POV).
Anyway, here goes from worst (although none were really bad) to best:
Downtown Boys (2018)
Jay Som (2018)
Glass Animals (2017)

So.... now that it's December and the dust has settled from Panorama 2018... is it even possible that a 2019 could happen? Goldenvoice haven't officially said anything and I've heard a couple of whispers that we might be looking at a 2019 version of the fest, but those are just rumors. Personally, last year was such a mess but I'd always be down to go back if the lineup is good
But that was just a dream.
I happened to find a survey e-mail from Panorama and GoldenVoice in my spam folder, yesterday. It was some of the usual post-festival evaluative stuff...but it did make more than one mention of there being a Panorama 2019, including a question that makes it seem like they're potentially looking at moving it to a subway-accessible location.
There's been a lot of talk about the idea that this festival is donezo, and I certainly wouldn't take this one e-mail survey as hard evidence that's not true, but I will say that it would strike me as odd that they'd go through the motions on something like this if the decision had fully been made, at this point, to kill it.
I haven’t received anything yet in my credit card statement or in the mail. Has anyone received anything yet?
Anyone know the name of the song she did? Really really liked it but no where to be found on setlist.fm or Youtube :/
*Lol - Found myself & it was just officially released like 2 days ago
We bought 3 day tickets off stub hub and received an initial email saying they were waiting to see how festival was handling refunds... but have not received anything since. Seeing as GV is refunding some money on 3 day tix, I assume stubhub is too. Anyone know? Thanks!
What are everyone’s thoughts on the Lab? How was it different in the past? Worse? Better? Favorite installation?
With everything that went cockeyed with this year's Panorama, I wasn't thinking that I'd be sitting here almost a week later feeling nostalgic...and, yet, here I am. I keep paging back through my pics and videos and, man, whatever else that festival did wrong, the music was fucking awesome throughout. Everything I saw from Japanese Breakfast until the end of the festival on Sunday night was great. And I really dug the crowd vibe relative to Governors Ball.
I mean, don't get me wrong - I don't miss the poop smell. But, other than that, I'm sitting here wishing I could be back out on the field.
I hope everyone's having a good week back in the real world.
Anyone got there refunds yet? I know it’s gonna be a couple days but my brother got his yesterday
What do you guys estimate the crowd size to have been Saturday and Sunday at their respective peaks? Does anyone know the overall capacity of the fest?

Well, everyone, Panorama 2018 is in the books, now, warts and all. It was certainly an eventful year, to say the least. But, even with all the changes and all the speed bumps along the way, we still got two days of great music. And, if this truly is the last year of the festival, Sunday certainly sent it off with a bang.
This is the thread in which to discuss all the goings-on - what did you like? What didn't you like? Which sets rocked your world? On a scale of 1-10, how bad was the smell?
Congratulations to us all for straight killing it the past couple of days. You're all champions.
2018: the year of cancellations, whether it was All of Friday, Lil Wayne Saturday, or Greta Van Fleet, this tea was memorable for a lot of reasons. Was wondering everyone’s best/worst sets they saw. Best for me was definitely St. Vincent, SZA, Rex Orange County, and The XX. I don’t really have a worst I can think of
