Wanee Festival is an annual event hosted by the Allman Brothers Band, held since 2005 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, in Live Oak, FL. The festival is held outdoors on two stages, with usually 15 or more bands playing over two days. The event is generally held in the spring.

Figured it would be a good way to social with everyone locked away inside =)
It's official now, no Wanee 2019. The announcement on the website is slightly vague as to the future of the fest, however I wouldn't hold your breath. This is how festivals go out these days. They don't want to anger fans. I have already been hearing of replacement festivals that will be held in that magical forest, which is good news. I was lucky enough to attend 2010, 2017, and 2018. Life changing experiences every year I went. I guess it's only fitting that Wanee fades away with the Allman Brothers, but they and their festival will be sorely missed. Although this is an extremely sad day, it's important to keep the spirit alive, and keep your ear to the forest floor for the next festival with the spirit.
Merry Wanee y'all!
So.....is wanee officially done? WP is playing two nights at 420. No date announcement. Etc.
Sad day if this is it. Most def my favorite fest of Live Oak.
Let me start off by saying that overall I enjoyed the fire out of Wanee as always. We had the fun as long as the fun was willing to be had. Anyway to the point.....I know some of the acts brought sound engineers and some didn’t but overall I felt the sound was lack luster and was hella loud at times. I love live music and completely understand rough sets and things happen but for several sets at the peach it seemed the same guy was mixing and nothing knocking him because I’ve burnt my ears before during long hours but some mixes sounded best from like 300 yards back. Just curious if this was just me? Side note....DSO sounded awesome as they have each time I’ve seen them. Maybe I’m just bored who knows. Please don’t stone me, unless you got that fire.
Already here.
Headed down today at lunch time. Who’s ready to get weird in the woods?
Hoping we get it, Saturday night should be a big ole party!
Looking for anyone selling an RV site? I have a four month old and would love to have a electric hook up for my RV I’m bringing. Have a happy Wannee and hope to see you all there!
When you order tickets from the website, do you receive tickets in the mail or do you get your actual wristbands? I am trying to avoid waiting in line at the venue to exchange tickets for wristbands.
My fiance and I are not able to make it to Wanee this year, so I have 2 tix available! Message me for pricing.
I've never really been a festival goer. The price on entry always kind of prevented me from going to fests. I'm a huge Grateful Dead fan and Phil Lesh rarely plays the eastern US these days except for festivals. I'm really excited. However I've heard lots of horror stories about under cover narcs harassing people, and my general lack of experience makes the hole thing sort of intimidating. I've heard that its one of the best fests for a sort of laid back family atmosphere. What should I expect? Also is there anyone from Macon on this sub reddit going to Wanee this year?
I'm looking at google maps, and the festival maps, and they don't relate. the festival maps aren't to scale and don't have North marked.
can anyone help me understand the map? https://www.musicliveshere.com/directions-maps/

Curious of the number of attendees and how packed it is in comparison to hulaween. Thanks in advance!
Does anyone remember from previous years if they sell single day tickets??? If so around how much were they?
They say there's 4 days and 3 nights of music but there's only 3 days on the schedule. Can anyone enlighten me I'm new to this festival lol
Hiya, hulaween 2017 was my first fest and i vlounteered through WORK EXCHANGE TEAM i was wondering if wanee had something like that and wjere to find it. thanks !
Was just wondering if there will be different tier prices for tickets this year? If so, I was also was wondering if the first tier will sell out and/or how quickly it will most likely sell out. Just trying to figure out some finances so I can swing it this year.
Anybody got an idea of what this will be? Facebook page says it won't disappoint!
Who else is praying to see these guys at wanee. They would totally bring the heat!
I've been fiending for a return to SoSMP so I grabbed an early bird this morning. Will probably grab another for my girlfriend to join if she shows interest after the lineup drops.
This is not my first Suwanee festival, but it will be my first Wanee. I'm looking for something that will fulfill that longing desire for Bear Creek to come back. I've done a couple PHBs (2014 & 2017), a couple Hulaweens (2014 & 2015), and even the first Tipper gathering, but nothing compares to the two Bear Creeks I got to experience in 2012 & 2013. I'm hoping the Wanee crowds are similar, more mature, and not overrun with spunions like Hulaween and the others I mentioned seem to be trending. I like some EDM, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer live instruments over a DJ set these days.
How are the crowds in recent years? I remember hearing in the days before Hulaween, that Wanee was the big one. 15,000+ people was the norm. Is it still like that or have numbers dropped a bit with Sweetwater and Hulaween getting bigger?
I'm excited to join the Wanee family next year for the first time and hopefully not the last!
