Hey guys, I am new to Reddit but my friend told me this is a great place for advice. Look we’re planning a music festival (well, kind of) we’re 27-30 years old and are actually serious about this but we are also incredibly green and all work trades so don’t know the ins and outs. All I’m looking for is start up advice, what do I do first? What type of bankroll should I look to have? Is this actually possible for someone in the middle class to do?
We live in such an isolated area with nothing but country festivals and we were thinking of just having a rap/hip-hop/rock/blues. Something that nobody gets to see around here.
Any advice would be amazing! Thank you
I just want to say that I really enjoyed myself this past weekend and the festival was really great!! I didn't know what to expect from Shaky but they completely passed whatever expectations I had. The artists that I saw left such a mark on my festival experience and I left Central Park with such amazing memories. The people that I met in the crowds were awesome too and they were so much fun, I regret not getting social medias from people because they were a great time. I hope the rumors of this year's Shaky being the last one aren't true because I would love to keep coming back. I hope all of you feel the same way and enjoyed the festival as much as I did!
Was surprised it was just smoke and lasers with no fireworks especially during the last sets. Are they not allowed in city limits?
Saw lots of ppl in their 30s, 40s and 50 plus. Noticed a lot of 40 plus in the VIP sections. Saw a couple over 50 head banging during Ducky’s set.
I’m locally based here in at Atlanta. I used to work in the music business for a few years, and have a few friends in my circle who work for various venues and promotion companies here in the city. I heard some talk this weekend of this being the last Shaky Beats and was curious if anyone else heard similar rumors.
The weekend being cut down to two days seems like a red flag, and a buddy of mine said they rented significantly less production than they have in years past.
Does anyone have the tracklist for Fisher's set?
Rufus Du Soul on Friday and Fisher on Saturday were probably our group’s faves, but Lane 8, Moon Boots, Chris Lake and Garrix were also fire!
Who got to see Garrix tonight?
u are my favorite part of this weekend THANK U
Getting ready for the day, packing a poncho and all that. But the thunderstorms around 8-10 don’t seem to changing much like early afternoon did. What are your thoughts? Chances it gets cancelled bc of lightning?
Worked 13 hours then drove from Nc. Both my passengers got shitfaced and left me to deal with getting to the Hilton in the fucking rain. I need pms folks. Gotta get things squared away before tomorrow. Male with two females. One female is my girl, the other is her sister. Hilton ATL. Hmu
Hey guys coming straight from Orlando Florida, about 40mins from Central Park, can anyone give us some insight on where to park? We want to get into the festival ASAP to catch Lane 8
Could someone send me what the view from GA+ looks like? I'll be coming in for 1 Day GA+ tomorrow

THE WEATHER SEEMS TO BE DISSIPATING :)
im sooo happy to see it, we will still get rain but it wont be as bad yay!
They’re saying the money goes on hold for 10 days so they want to use regular PayPal, and are saying I can still do a chargeback on regular PayPal if the wristbands don’t come. Sketchy or reasonable?
Pretty decided on seeing CloZee over Fisher but curious as to what the live experience is like? Thanks friends let’s rage tomorrow
