/r/Sasquatch
r/Sasquatch is for the music festival.
Don't post about the cryptid. Go to r/bigfoot for that.

Somebody in the Portola discord mentioned they got a text from someone in PNW music about bringing it back. Anybody hear anything?
Here's to hoping The Gorge. I know it's a pipe dream but a boy can dream.
Just reminiscing on how prime it was having an all genre music festival during Memorial Day weekend at the most beautiful venue. I hope you all are living fulfilling lives and doing what you enjoy. Cheers, JinglehutjuniorIII
Just remembered some stuff from sasquatch 2018 that I had questions about.
Did anyone else receive extra tickets around this time for the event? I specifically remember that I was sent a total of 8 wrist bands when we had only ordered 4, and then eventually seeing more scalpers outside the event than previous times, very curious if lots of folks got extra tickets and if that may have impacted things at all.
Looking to go, but can't get a ride or find a camp spot?
Post your needs or if you got another spot open and hopefully y'all can help each other out!
For those looking to buy or sell their ticket, let be known here and hopefully y'all can connect
The Thing is fast approaching!
As a "spiritual successor" to Sasquatch, I'll try to replicate some of the things that we did for Sasquatch for The Thing. This includes a Buy/Sell/Trade megathread, Ride share/camping thread and a master megathread (this) with all pertinent information. Will probably start these threads around mid-June.
Furthermore, I'll start an Artist Lineup thread like we did for Sasquatch. Same as last format, I'll pick 3 artists to highlight for each thread. This time around we'll go by days, so we'll tackle each concert day with 3 artists until all are covered. I'm aiming to start it in July to mid-July, posting every other day, but feel free to start the research early!
#INFORMATION
##Site: THING NW
Schedule: Artist Links
Tickets: Link
Premier: $825
General: $350
Single day: $130
Camping: Link
General Parking (4 nights): $150
RV-Camping (4 nights): $225
Single day (on-site): $35
How do you feel about the lineup? I’m having a hard time with tickets being $405 after fees plus another $135-$225 for camping. This seems a little extreme to me considering Sasquatch used to be cheaper. I’d love to go, but I think this one is just out of the cards for me. Hopefully I will see some of you at Dave this summer!
The Thing Fest FB messenger responded to me and said they're gonna release info this month!
Wishing y'all good and happy festivities!
Thanks to those that report spam and cryptid stuff (and responding to them either humorously or with our rules).
A few weeks ago I added and changed a couple parameters for automod.
A new rule for automod is that anything with 2 reports are automatically removed. So if you see an unrelated post, I would like to ask that you report it so it can leave the sub a little earlier as I check reddit far less frequently these days.
And while I don't check frequently, still consider PMing me if you feel that a post has been removed by automod unnecessarily.
I asked Santa for Sasquatch and The Thing, let's see if he can pull through.
Cheers friends
Anyone here still planning on going to see psych Jesus? May be going by myself, tryna link up with some new friends.
First time there since Sas 2016. I hope to see you guys there!
Thank you for accompanying us on the cattle walk back to camp each evening. Godspeed!
Got an email blast today:
“Our film is about the power of place. And the power of community. And how some great music got millions of people from around the world to dance together on a patch of rural farmland. Enormous captures the experiences we have all been missing this last year and can't wait to get back to.”
– Nic Davis, Director
Chronicling its journey from unlikely beginnings, Enormous: The Gorge Story weaves together personal stories from music legends Dave Matthews, Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Jason Mraz, Steve Miller and more, with the emotional narratives of audience members who have built their lives around the venue. These stories reveal how a family-owned winery - with a makeshift plywood stage - ascended to become "The Gorge,” a Billboard, Pollstar and ACM winning music venue.
In addition to the full-length film, this one-night-only screening will feature exclusive, never-before-seen interviews with
Portugal. The Man, Dierks Bentley, and Phantogram. The night will also include a world premiere of The Enormisodes – five mini-documentaries about The Gorge – along with a blooper reel featuring Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, and Mike McCready, among others.
Don't miss this special event at your local cinema Wednesday, July 21 only!
Emphasis is mine.

If anyone out there still has any extra 2014 stage schedule booklets kicking around I would love it I could obtain one! I would of course pay shipping.
I have the booklets to all my other years (2013 and 2015) and would love to have the missing one from 2014.
I have an extra from 2015 if anyone is looking for that / wants to trade!

The year, 2015, at the Bigfoot Stage. Flume is set to close out the first night. After being separated from my group all day, we have reunited for the show we all were anticipating. We stock up on tall boys and start making our way through. That didn’t last long because we all immediately get separated. Once the lights drop and the raindrops reflected in the falling raindrops, I knew it was too late to even attempt to find my friends. Flume proceeds to blow everyone’s mind.
The best part is when I reach the tunnel where everyone would start mooing like cattle, I start to find my friends, one-by-one. The walk back to camp was long but there was always fun stuff to see along the way. At camp we all share our individual highlights and the group slowly dwindles. I stayed up until the sunrise with a few friends (old and new) until we hear some cows mooing or hippies having animalistic sex. We all fell asleep on a deflated air mattress only to wake up an enjoy three more magical days.
If only I knew that there were a limited number of years left in our beloved festival. I would have gone to the following years. However, I’m glad that my final Sasquatch experience was spent with 6 of my closest friends. We drove up from Santa Cruz in an old Vanagon. We won’t have Sasquatch to look forward to but I can’t wait until we’re post-pandemic so we can meet up again. It would be a fitting reunion now that we all live in separate states.
