In the overseas and on the US Innings lineup…they are an undercard. I could see them right before like Paramore or RHCP or Blink…whomever they get. I think they’re too big for Piedmont, but then again Arcade Fire closed this stage this year.
I feel like based on name recognition, plus the fact that his current touring involves stuff from all his projects including (mostly) Radiohead, he could headline if he decides to continue this tour in the US. Does anyone else think this would be amazing? I’m getting chills just from watching these.
Three years ago today was the Shaky “Spooky” Knees that had been pushed to the Fall because of the pandemic. It was the most beautiful festival weather. I’ve been to every Shaky since 2015, and the one in the fall of 2021 was absolutely fantastic. Here’s to hoping that all this venue drama has pushed Shaky into spooky season for 2025 and on. 🤘🏼👻💃🏻🕺🏻🦵🏼🪩
Anyone have any reputable gossip on dates and a venue?!?
Really hoping Magdalena Bay makes their Shaky debut. It would be awesome to have them close Ponce with a sick light show and production. This particular album would make sense for a later set.
Dadi Freyr- They closed Grove at Lolla this year, and blew me away. German Eurovision band with fun dance vibes and really good stage presence.
Public Enemy- Shaky has had Digable Planets play to a big crowd, Cypress Hill closed this stage as well, and Joey Valence and Brae played to a sizable crowd too. Public Enemy at night on this stage would be so much fun.
If we get one I’ll be happy, if we get two of these I’d be grateful, and if we get all three…that’s priceless for me.
Per a post on their store, they look to tour starting in summer 2025 to support their new album. Strong possibility they could be in the lineup somewhere? "ROMANCE, the band’s first album with XL Recordings, will be brought to life on a world tour beginning in the summer, with stopovers at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds Festivals and across Europe."

As the title says. Like we’d usually have dates at least by now. Is it because they’re possibly changing venues?
I feel like VW could be a Piedmont closer. That way they could get a 75 minute set like QOTSA did. I just think because they don’t have the hits on the charts…they’ll be a top billed undercard.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs were pretty big at one point, and they were having their best run in years after a long hiatus and they also closed Piedmont.
Arcade Fire headlined many fests including Lolla in 2017….and were a Piedmont closer.
And QOTSA headlined Shaky in 2018 and closed Piedmont this time around.
VW closing Piedmont doesn’t sound so far fetched to me.
Colin Greenwood is playing bass for Cave again, so these tour dates likely take them both out of the running if Shaky Knees occurs around the same time next year.
Looking back at the last 4-5 years, I see that Tim loves his 90’s headliners. Since 2019 we’ve seen Beck, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, etc. and we would have seen The Smashing Pumpkins in 2020 too. Yes, Oasis would be far from cheap. Yes, they’re playing stadiums in 2025. But the Foos play stadiums, and so do Green Day, and we’ve had them both. I see no quicker path to another sellout year than bringing in Oasis. Noel Gallagher has already played Shaky Knees, so the connection is already there.
Creed’s tour could’ve been a running meme, but people are spending money in the minimum range of 70.00 or more. SK has had Switchfoot, Incubus, 311. Creed could easily be before Red Hot Chili Peppers or another big rock act. I think it would be fun and get a good response from the audience.

I think with the success of this new album Romance, I could see them closing Piedmont or get the Foals mainstage spot of 2019. For the UK next year- they already have big arenas set up and Rolling Stone magazine also is claiming arenas are in the works with an album like this. So it’s safe to say their ceiling is high!
As someone who books work contracts up to 1.5 years in advance, I would love to know the dates so I can mark them off my calendar. I wouldn't want to miss it!
Headliners
Paramore- I feel like this is a pretty safe bet, and I feel like Shaky is due for a female headliner.
Pearl Jam- I’m feeling this for some reason. Tim has had Eddie Vedder do solo sets a bunch at his other fests such as Innings and some other ones: so now I think he gets the big one!
Vampire Weekend- I feel like Paramore and PJ will be rather expensive, and the third headliner always tends to be more alternative based or folkish. Here- Shaky crosses off both audiences. VW has some folk roots in their catalog, and plenty of alt rock staples. Plus they’d be so much cheaper than Paramore or PJ, leaving plenty of money for undercard.
4-6
Cage the Elephant- Not a headliner this time, and too big for Piedmont- but a 75 minute co-headliner spot. Lead in to probably VW.
Sublime- I feel like they’ll be this year’s Incubus type billing. His son of the legendary Brad Nowell is quite good from what I’ve heard and seen. Good lead in to Pearl Jam. A 90’s party.
Alanis Morrisette- That perfect throwback act, and a great lead in to Paramore. She’s been on a few Tim led lineups.
7-9
St. Vincent- I feel like she will be back, and probably close Piedmont this time. She’s meant to be at NIGHT.
IDLES- I think they’ll close Piedmont this time.
Two Door Cinema Club- They have yet to play Shaky and have been making the rounds. They would draw a big crowd and have everyone singing along. Also closing Piedmont.
