Just saw that he’s on the lineup for Outbreak. I feel like he is a good match for Shaky. Anyone know of any reason to rule him out?
Maybe since the location changed we could see two headliners close each night.
For instance JW V Paramore
MCR V LCD Soundsystem
Pearl Jam V Mt. Joy or another big folk act
I’ve never liked unopposed headliners, because if you don’t like them- you have to leave or suffer through it.
Piedmont gets big crowds- so why not use that as the other big headliner stage?
Again- more my wish than actually happening. But worth a thought.
Thoughts?
Now that we have dates, let the speculation begin. I'll get to updating this as an official list similar to the Bonnaroo thread.

My Bloody Valentine | They're playing a show again and Tim liked one of their posts. Until they announce more shows I'm not expecting much, but hey, there's a chance! | Shoegaze |

I feel like we're either going to get a lineup for a May festival this upcoming week, or we'll get word that it's in the Fall. I think based on the lack of news that a move to the fall is much more likely, but If it is going to be in May, who do you predict?
Fri - Thom Yorke / Jack White splitting a headlining spot
Sat - Arctic Monkeys
Sun - Linkin Park
Festive owl confirming we’re at Piedmont Park this year (selfishly) praying for fall dates.
Maybe a Replacement (and or reversion back to the roots) of MM I’m here for it.
The Festive Owl has confirmed it
New order has been announced for the west coast 2025 Cruel World Festival on May 17th. and they announced shows for the days before that in california. Conveniently that means they will be in the USA near the time shaky knees 2025. This would be an excellent choice to add into the lineup.
Last 2 years of headliners as a reminder.
2024- Noah Kahan, Weezer, and Foo Fighters. I don’t think JW is bigger than of these artists or still pulling crowds like them at festivals.
2023- Lumineers, Muse, Killers. Once again, Lumineers are one of the biggest folk bands in the US. Muse are underrated but they sell out some big places and are still massive in the UK. Killers headlined so many festivals and are probably as big as Foo still. Still don’t know if JW is bigger than any of these acts.
If you stacked the top 3 with two big names, then I could see JW get in as a third headliner: but I remember when he played a show during Shaky weekend and you get tickets for like 40 bucks at that one venue. I think it was 2022 I believe.
Since 2018…he hasn’t really popped up at any of these festivals. At Lolla, he had one of the lowest attended mainstage sets. Headlined Shaky in 2018, but most were only neutral on that performance.
Idk maybe he headlines, maybe he doesn’t. We all know he can, but is he still a draw with Shaky as big as it is now?
They have shows in TN, NC, SC, and FL
They haven't done a show in the US under their new name just yet. I had the privilege of seeing them in 2018 back when they were still playing under the name "Slaves" I was hooked immediately.
I need to know the name of the food vendor in VIP 2024 that sold all the Mac and cheese foods.
Jungle
Magdalena Bay
100 Gecs
The Dare
Would all be a blast IMO.
Who here received the survey after last year? What were some of your requests? I threw a variety out there, not even sure of who even is touring or not. My suggestions (that I can remember):
Chappell Roan (haha, probably WAY too big now) Gary Clark Jr, Arctic Monkeys, RDGLDGRN, Stoplight Observations, Florence And The Machine (why not?), Mitzki, Fallout Boy (a girl can dream…), Nothing But Thieves, Neon Trees
In the overseas and on the US Innings lineup…they are an undercard. I could see them right before like Paramore or RHCP or Blink…whomever they get. I think they’re too big for Piedmont, but then again Arcade Fire closed this stage this year.
I feel like based on name recognition, plus the fact that his current touring involves stuff from all his projects including (mostly) Radiohead, he could headline if he decides to continue this tour in the US. Does anyone else think this would be amazing? I’m getting chills just from watching these.
Three years ago today was the Shaky “Spooky” Knees that had been pushed to the Fall because of the pandemic. It was the most beautiful festival weather. I’ve been to every Shaky since 2015, and the one in the fall of 2021 was absolutely fantastic. Here’s to hoping that all this venue drama has pushed Shaky into spooky season for 2025 and on. 🤘🏼👻💃🏻🕺🏻🦵🏼🪩
Anyone have any reputable gossip on dates and a venue?!?
