Is this real?
Loved the draft, even though I was busy with some family issues, but i was happy to see what we did. Maybe not villain level but we got who we wanted and jumped ahead of the Packers, so YAY.
I REALLY want a repeat and to get the SB but looking at all the work the other teams made in their draft are we still WAY better or are we kind of on equal footing at this point?
I'm gonna assume the Bear and Vikings might have some work still as their O-line might not be up to snuff to contain our edge rushers and get some sacks on these rookies.
In the same sense I'm praying that our new secondary is going to bull rush and intercept the hell out of all 3 QBS.
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but damn if I'm still not high on last years run.

Title gets the gist of it down. I've been a Bills fan for the past several years now, but recently I've just gotten sick and tired of the team being run by incompetent coaches, GMs, and staff who don't have what it takes to win the Super Bowl and who hand the Kansas City Chiefs the next Tyreek Hill on a silver platter in the draft. On top of that, the Lions are same geographical distance away from where I live as the Bills, so with Detroit just being a better-constructed team overall with a much brighter future, jumping ship is the smart choice.
Before I go any further, there are a few things I think I'm aware of already:
This team has a long, LONG history of utter pain and humiliation that only just recently ended (e.g. Barry Sanders and Megatron both retiring in their primes, 0-16, etc.)
Dan Campbell is the best coach in football.
The refs have it out for us at every game.
Fuck the Packers, Vikings, and Bears.
If there's anything I've missed, feel free to get me up to speed. I look forward to biting off the kneecaps of all our opponents this year alongside the rest of you.
The 2023 NFCCG is in the past now... 2024 is ours.
It takes more!
This was newly posted to YouTube yesterday, in pretty decent quality. Watch Dexter Bussey do some work on his way to being the Lions all-time rusher, the year before the Lions drafted a rookie named Billy Sims. See the Lions before the WCF on the sleeve, complete with a late 70s commercial at the breaks.
We’re coming for blood revenge on those shit eating choke artists. Hell has a special place for cowboys fans. FTC
[EDIT: See bottom of post for ways to watch the panthers!]
A friendly request from a neighbor to the north that wishes we had more local football!
I've been watching a lot of the new UFL. The games are exciting, the caliber of play is pretty high - as in several players from teams are likely to get pulled up into the NFL once this season is done - Jake Bates, Wes Hill, Kai Nacua (people I'll be REALLY sad to see leave the Panthers if they do). And you have a home team playing right in your Ford Field.
AND on top of that, the Panthers are definitely gunning for playoffs, and it's not over til it's over.
But their fan turnout is awful! Considering how diehard fans are for the Lions, I would have expected more turnout for the Panthers.
Maybe you're not into Spring football.
Maybe you're not into leagues more amateur than the NFL.
BUT - the UFL is the last chance for spring football, if this season doesn't do well, there's no leagues left it'll just be gone. And if the UFL does live on, there's still a chance that the Michigan team will get relocated to elsewhere if they don't think there's enough support in the state and the city.
Please if you can! Go see the home game this Sunday - tickets are low! Starting at $10. They are trying hard to get people to come in - they even have a team meet-n-greet after the game. I'll be coming in from hours away in Toronto to try and support them.
I've never been a sports guy at all in my life, but the Panthers and the UFL have really roped me in. There's something so appealing about watching an underdog team in an underdog league. EVERYONE on the UFL are people trying to prove they can make it to the NFL (or make it back, or prove why they shouldn't have been passed over). You can't help but feel sympathetic for everyone on all the teams. This could be their last chance at the NFL, and you can see it on the field all the time.
Please help keep my first sports fandom love alive.
EDIT: Thanks /u/Callywood for all of this info - if you want to know how to watch or support the Panthers, read on:

I guess Tyler Boyd is last best FA option to replace WRX?
I’m assuming cha cha instructor..
For those that don't know, SB Nation pulled their Lion's dedicated podcast "Pride of Detroit".
Every year they would do a podcast dedicated to each Lion's draft pick, with a guest from that player's college media.
It was a fantastic way to get a profile of each draft pick from a dedicated source.
Really aided my knowledge of the team and its tragic I won't have that guide this year.
He seems to be in great shape still, plus we haven’t had a big solid receiver since Golladay. He’s been writing to teams about signing him for a few years now. Bring him in as a camp body to help the younger receivers learn and also to round out our WR depth. I see it as a low risk, high reward option.
I’ve looked on nfl shop and it’s not an option, I would imagine that means they’re not available anywhere else either.
