hi, i’m going to be spending a short weekend in seattle and im looking for some fun and chill things to do and places to eat! open to any and all suggestions!! will be in town friday night and sunday during the day, and i have disabled friends so a ton of walking isn’t ideal either :)
And why? Any experiences are appreciated.
Does anyone know the number plate? It starts with CK. Someone hit and ran me. He decided to not stop. He rare ended me. I went to on coming traffic to stop the hitting cars ahead of me. Please contact me if you have any information about the car. I followed him and cops told me not to go after him. Someone also called reported him. This incident happened at 6:20 pm on 11/30/24
I recently had a disappointing experience with the Bird and Exotic Clinic on Aurora Ave N, where I had taken my pet rats to get checked out. The vet seemed great, but the office staff was mediocre. It's been almost two weeks and they still haven't gotten me all of the paperwork from my appointment, despite several emails.
Anyone have a different exotic or small animal vet they love?
Is there anywhere around to go work on scales and stuff?
I'm spending the end of year holidays in Seattle and will be off work for 10 days. I'm on the hunt for something special to do - preferably a multi-day activity where I can learn something new and meet people. Most of the classes I've found are just a few hours long, and I'm looking for something a bit more substantial. Here are some ideas I'm interested in, but I couldn't find anything multi-day:
I can stay without cell coverage for a couple of hours but not much longer, so long hikes in remote areas are out. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in advance!
I work at Boeing, and layoffs are entering their second round. I’ve been applying for part-time retail and server positions but have either not heard back or been quickly rejected. Amazon DSP and fulfillment center positions are quickly filled here.
How have your experiences been?
I have been on Medicaid for a few months and just got a notice that Virginia mason will no longer be taking it as of January 1. I was under the impression non profits had to take Medicaid where as all other hospitals only had to take it in an emergency. Can anybody else clarify? Anybody else affected by this? I've been getting care there for 10 years and well I know it's not unusual for people to have to change due to insurances it's kind of a drag.
Me and my girlfriend are spending a night in Leavenworth on the 13th. I am a little worried about driving up Stevens Pass. I have experience driving in snow but mostly light city driving in Seattle or the suburbs with less than an inch on the ground or less. The week in advance ridiculous cancellation policy is also concerning. I thought about the Amtrak but the arrival time is very inconvenient at 8 pm at night. I know how to drive my vehicle in 4WD and understand the basics of winter driving. How sketchy is the drive usually this time of year?
I've been following this sub for a minute, interviewing with a few companies and Seattle may be a place I have to relocate.
While doing my research, I notice that almost everyone in this sub just seems miserable when talking about Seattle. The traffic, the homelessness, the crime, the cost of living, the dirty public transit, the lack of reliable public transit, the poorly made apartments... those are just the ones that are top of mind.
I rarely see anything positive which is interesting compared to the subs of other cities . Is Seattle really that miserable or is it just the tendency of the sub to focus a bit more on the negative side of things ?
In case anyone wants a discount on Christmas light tickets use the link below. I wish I could’ve used this lol. Tickets are expensive 😭 especially since wanted to take my parents, grandparents and siblings.
As you embark on your adventure, glide along an ice skating trail surrounded by dazzling lights, shop for gifts and treats in our charming Village, savor seasonal food and drinks, and maybe even meet Santa. A world of Christmas wonder awaits.
So I recently learned from a 20 year old coworker (I work at a restaurant) that a lot of kids these days are using Fake ID’s from Florida because they have the hologram on it. It’s expensive but it looks real. Please keep your businesses and liquor licenses safe y’all. If you’re not sure, ask them for a second ID, if they can’t produce one, it’s more than likely Fake
Long story short, I got paged from my work while waiting at the stop light. I picked up the phone to stop the paging, and the officer gave me ticket for holding the phone on my hand. Does anyone have any experience contesting the ticket or should I get a traffic lawyer to help? I really don't want this to end up in my driving record. TIA
Hi friends, this might be a lost cause, but…
I have family visiting Seattle from Australia and wondering if there’s any place to buy 4 resale tickets to A Very Die Hard Christmas at Seattle Public Theatre (Green Lake) on December 20 or 21?
(I know there’s a “rush list” chance at the box office on the night, but I am keen to avoid that uncertainty in planning my family’s time here.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
State health officials have suspended the licenses of a Pierce County outpatient drug treatment center that operates clinics in Lakewood, Gig Harbor and Puyallup.
The Washington State Department of Health has issued an immediate suspension of licenses held by Rainier Recovery.
Health authorities say the agency hired counselors who don’t have the required education and supervision skills and failed to accurately document patient records in a timely manner.
EDIT: I'm not asking if you tip or not or what would lead to either outcome. I'm asking if you choose NOT to tip at all given the increased minimum wage, what if anything do you answer when asked why you did not tip your server?
Lay it on me, cuz...
