Any wavy-curlies with fine hair here who could recommend a great stylist in the area? Looking for somewhere in the Kenmore - Monroe - Arlington - Edmonds geographical area; not a fan of driving to Seattle/Bellevue for a haircut. Thanks a million!
Does ANYONE know a “kekoa aspen atticus” from mukilteo???? PLEASE
Long story short, I got paged from my work while waiting at the stop light. I picked up the phone to stop the paging, and the officer gave me ticket for holding the phone on my hand. Does anyone have any experience contesting the ticket or should I get a traffic lawyer to help? I really don't want this to end up in my driving record. TIA
Not looking for a hike mainly somewhere you can drive to and park
I just had a family member pass who kept spiders as pets and I’m unable to take care of them all. They kept mainly tarantulas I believe so they’re on the bigger side of spiders. I’m not sure where the best place to take them is. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. These are all cities I’m able to travel to too if that helps any. Everett, Marysville, Arlington, Granite, Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Monroe, Mill Creek, Lynnwood. Thank you.
The main road that runs north/south through town, has it always been State Avenue? Or did it used to be called State Street?
I tried looking up anything about a name change, and I found a few posts and comments that call it Street, including one on an official .gov page. My mother swears it used to be Street, but I couldn't find anything definitive.
Living in Snohomish County these past few days has been incredibly tough. Can't imagine this happening to me again because I seriously lacked emergency preparedness. Days without power made me realize how unprepared I was—no proper food storage, no way to stay warm or cool during extreme weather, and only a small generator with less than 500Wh to rely on.
Honestly, it just wasn’t enough, and I’m determined to invest in a higher-capacity portable generator once this disaster is over. With Black Friday sales coming up, it feels like the right time to make this upgrade.
I’ve been looking into brands like Jackery, EcoFlow, and Bluetti, but I’m curious—what are you all using? Any recommendations or personal experiences with these brands? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Can y’all point me in the direction of the best publicly available sledding spots that me and the family could enjoy once there’s snow.
Let me begin with an honest declaration - I feel an idiot (or a deceived person, if to try to put it mildly).
I am primarily shopping at Costco and I do a lot (A LOT) of shopping at Amazon. Amazon is sending all the smaller items in the packages marked as Recycle - Store Drop Off. I am vigorous at my attempts of waste separation in general, and recycling in particular. Since I do not travel past or near stores accepting those Drop Offs often, my garage is accumulating literary pounds of compressed Amazon, Target, (name yours) packaging waiting for my occasional travel to the nearby QFC and alike. In the last 5ish years I have never (ever) seen any person besides me doing the same bullshit I do, which is spending minutes next to the dedicated recycling bins on said stores getting rid of the said recycling material. I can keep up the rant, but let me get to my question, which is rather hard to word.
Are all those "recycling" packaging is just a way for the companies like Amazon look "greener"? Is the only actual benefit is that you can "save" some space in your usual trash bin? Do YOU "recycle" all your endless store drop off packaging traveling to stores?
Edit:
Multiple downvotes, and yet only one person said they do the same because they travel to store regularly. I would appreciate if you share what you do with your bubble wraps/other packaging that is to be recycled only via Store Drop Off. Thanks

Hi all! I'm an intermediate guitarist. Been feeling like I hit a plateau and think that learning some new songs and eventually playing some live sets would be a fun and social way to get over this hump.
Looking for any musicians who, like me, just want to get together and jam with the idea of learning some songs to play live. If that's you, hit me up!
I play a little bit of everything but definitely biased towards people who'd like to learn some Pearl Jam and prog rock songs (let's get muscially complex and have fun doing it!).
I look forward to hearing from you all!
Putting your ballot in one of the several ballot drop boxes is the easiest way to do off your ballot. Guaranteed that your ballot will be picked up and counted.
If you use A USPS mailbox to drop your ballot off today make sure that the mail pick up time hasn't passed yet. It will say the pickup time right below the insertion point. If the pick up time has passed, search online for the locations of a ballot drop box and go there to deliver your ballot.
As for voting in person, relevant if you have trouble with the mail, haven't registered to vote yet, or have accessibility needs, you should be able to go the Snohomish County auditors office at the following address and be in line to vote before 8pm.
1st Floor, Admin West Bldg. 3000 Rockefeller Ave Everett, WA 98201
For more information about accessible voting locations, visit this Snohomish County website: https://snohomishcountywa.gov/5727/Find-an-Accessible-Voting-and-Same-Day-R
Please vote. Be heard.
Just trying to figure out what us going on. My husband and I moved out of state a couple of weeks ago but couldn't register to vote in our new state in time for this election so we mailed in our absentees for Washington. We sent them in about a week ago and have been awaiting their acceptance.
They have not been accepted but the verbiage has changed. It originally said "Your ballot was sent on October 18th and we are awaiting its return ... blah blah." Now it says "Your ballot was sent November 5th and we are awaiting its return."
Does that mean they resent a new ballot? That the one we sent won't be accepted? Is there a glitch in the system?
Unsure who to call to ask these questions but really concerned that even though we post marked in time, it won't be counted. Thoughts?
In Washington state, you can register to vote on election day if you go in person to your county election office
If you're already registered but lost your ballot, you can also print out a replacement ballot
Ballot boxes close at 8 pm tonight, get yours in one of them before then, here's where they are
Anyone know a place that will be showing the New Orleans Saints game on Sunday?
Looking for some suggestions to try out while my parents visit town where we can embibe and take in the sights. I'd consider options as far north as Bellingham and as Far south as Snohomish. Not much interested in getting into the hubbub of Seattle and King county. Thanks!
I’m in South Carolina thinking about relocating to Everett after a friend made the move, he told me I should have come to but my worries are the crime rate, rent prices, and job market. I’m excited just thinking about it but I need at least a job offer or something before I can even think of going. Can anyone help me out and give me some sort of heads up on the area and what not?
I dropped off our ballots in the Arlington drop box last week. Track my ballot does not yet show our ballots in the system. Does the County empty the boxes periodically, or just once after voting closes on Election Day?
