I’m in South Carolina thinking about relocating to Everett after a friend made the move, he told me I should have come to but my worries are the crime rate, rent prices, and job market. I’m excited just thinking about it but I need at least a job offer or something before I can even think of going. Can anyone help me out and give me some sort of heads up on the area and what not?
I dropped off our ballots in the Arlington drop box last week. Track my ballot does not yet show our ballots in the system. Does the County empty the boxes periodically, or just once after voting closes on Election Day?
Hey Snoho County,

Does anyone have a contact or work at Amazon in Sno Co. We are consistently getting Amazon drivers in personal vehicles going double the speed limit down our street. Only in the personal vehicles, im sure the grey delivery trucks have telematics. We all have confronted them, but they don't care and honestly claim to not speak English but I know they know what they are doing. I can't find anything on Amazon. Any help is appreciated.
Hi. Anyone has any idea on rule/regulation on homeless encampment parking their car in the unincorporated area of snoco? We have this RV that's been parked permanently in the corner way too close to the intersection that makes it too dangerous for people who's driving out of cul-de-sac not able to see the incoming car. We know none of us who lives around that RV own the RV so we're guessing the RV is owned by a homeless person. Contacted the Sheriff office and all they said was that the RV's owner is homeless person who parked everywhere with multiple violations but there's nothing they can do about it cuz the area where he parked is sitting on the unincorporated area of snoco. Any advise?
Snohomish County Proposition 1, appearing on the November 5, 2024 ballot, proposes a small increase to the local sales tax by 0.2% (or 2 cents per $10 spent) to fund expanded public safety programs. This increase would apply to most retail purchases, with exemptions for groceries, prescription medications, vehicle sales, and the first three years of vehicle leases. If approved, the tax is expected to generate about $40 million annually, with 60% allocated to the county and 40% to the cities based on population.
Funds raised by the tax would support various safety initiatives, such as:
In short, voting Yes/ARROVED on Proposition 1 would provide significant resources for public safety and health initiatives but could increase costs for local shoppers, while voting No/REJECTED would avoid these costs but limit the county’s ability to fund expanded safety and health programs.

Hey there I’m just wondering if there’s anyone who has ADHD in the area of monroe/sultan/goldbar that could comment on the ease of getting their prescriptions. My family is thinking of moving to the area and I’m worried about how hard it would be to find a doctor that would continue my adderall prescription.
Is anyone else a complete psychopath and wanna try to try to regularly play racquetball during the week at the Mill Creek YMCA at 5/5:30AM?? HMU!
I'm trying to get people together to play music with on a (semi) regular basis this fall/winter. This is not for aspiring professional musicians -- this is just for fun (and for surviving the big dark with indoor activities) :)
So far we have an acoustic bass guitar and an acoustic guitar. We currently get together 2x a month in the evenings, reserving a room at either the Bothell or Kenmore Library. Let me know if you're interested!
Trying to start a thread where musicians can find like minded people with similar aspirations and matching schedules.
Hopefully this can help some people out, even if it’s not me.
I’m 38 and a punk/metal/rock drummer just looking for people to jam with. Nothing super serious. I’m mostly available mon-fri 9-5
One of my friends 23 M is looking to turn his life around. His mom recently passed & he has been homeless. Is currently incarcerated because he was missing court dates while living on the street. Court is for a DUI back in 2022. Has no residence address, no ID card, no social security card or birth certificate. All identification was stolen from him whilst living on the street & has no mailing residence address to get this back. He’s having a hard to building himself back up and is so young this is all new to him.
Anyone know or have any ideas someone would maybe hire him to make some money or if theres ideas for an address to recieve resources? I don’t live locally otherwise I would give him my address & if I had the funds I would buy him a PO box but I can’t afford it
Thanks everyone
You restored my faith in humanity. Thanks for being a great neighbor in this wonderful county!
Hello Snohomish County, just a friendly update!
On Oct 3rd, I contacted Julio Cortes for State Rep. Julio Cortes team to request a town hall/debate online or in a hybrid format to allow for maximum accessibility for the public to attend and participate. I talked to his campaign manager on and off for a few days. Julio himself didn't respond until October 15th and he turned me down. This is very anti democratic because friendly debate is part of being a candidate. Considering that Julio rarely talks about policy or the issues he cares about, I thought he would want to do this to help inform voters. I think its important to engage in a conversation with each other on the issues voters care about the most.
Candidates are often pretty busy but this is an important part of being a candidate. I'm only asking for a hour of his time and we can do this online, so he can participate from home or anywhere. Also, he apparently has time for a networking event his campaign just announced, but he can't set aside 60 minutes for a town hall?!
If you would like to see us discuss important issues like cost of living, housing, healthcare, please consider sending him a email to let him know you want to see us debate! There's still time to set something up in the next 2 weeks! Please tell Julio that you think debate is important by emailing him at: julio@electjuliocortes.com
I'll keep y'all posted. Thank you!

Anyone know what is being built directly behind the Burgermaster in Mill creek? It looks like a retailer or warehouse of some kind. A worker at BM mentioned Amazon but she was not sure.
Thanks!
Hello Snohomish County!
We are heading into a pivotal election, and now more than ever, it’s critical that every voice is heard and every vote is cast. Our community faces many challenges, from rising taxes and housing costs to ensuring quality public education for all our children. We need leadership that will focus on practical, real-world solutions and policies that reflect the needs of everyone, not just a select few.
My name is John Snow and I’m running for State Senate because I believe in accountability, fairness, and community. My campaign is focused on lowering the tax burden, especially property taxes, supporting our local businesses and farmers, improving transportation, and fighting for better healthcare access for all residents. I’ve been endorsed by unions that represent hard-working people, and I believe that by working together, we can build a more sustainable, prosperous future for all of Snohomish County.
Remember, every vote counts! Let's flip the 39th LD and make sure we have representatives who listen to you. Your vote is your voice — make sure it’s heard loud and clear!
If you'd like to support my campaign or learn more about my platform, click here to donate: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/elect-john-snow-1
Thank you, and let's make this happen!
Hello!
My husband and I are kind of introverted, but we are trying to change that. Currently, we enjoy hanging out with our dogs, watching The Office (or other goofy shows) and staying home. We also do things like play music (him), craft (me), and play with our dogs. Did I mention our dogs??
Anyways, we are looking for some new friends and some new exploring! Maybe more outdoorsy, playing board games with new friends, or going to a concert.
I work, but he doesn’t. We are open to most things!
I have friendships nearby, but he doesn’t. So we would both love to meet some new people.
We don’t have kids. We don’t play sports. But we like dogs. We love music. We are fun (or funny, we think ;)!
What do you do and can we join?
I’ve seen these cameras pop up all over Snohomish county powered only by solar (from what I can see). They are not pointed at any major intersections. Just busy roads They come with no warning signs and I don’t believe they are speed cameras. Any thoughts?
My mom has pretty advanced dementia and we have made the difficult decision that we need to start exploring memory care facilities for her. Anybody had a good experience with any specific places? Looking for somewhere north of Seattle, Shoreline up to Marysville-ish areas, and over to Snohomish/Lake Stevens but don’t want to go much further east than that. Looking for high quality of course, age-in-place memory care, private bedroom/bathroom, and ability to eventually accept Medicaid. Thank you.
I'm looking for a drive to see the Fall leaf colors. Anyone have recommendations?
You just gotta move them

Wassup everyone,
So with the influence of natural disasters that's been occurring down South and the obvious climate change, I have began thinking about natural disaster preparedness.
For more context, I recently moved from the South (Western NC) and I'm fairly new to Everett.
So I'm curious on what type of natural disasters are prominent in this area? I like I'm downtown Everett and I believe I read that tsunamis, earthquakes, landslides, and avalanches are prominent in Snohomish County.
Also, does anyone recommend any disaster preparedness kits or supplies that are pertinent to the area?
I am doing my own research but I began to get a bit overwhelmed and feel that getting insight from locals of those that have been here for a while can be a great place to start. The more information the better.
Thanks in advance.
