Property management

I am looking for a property manager that might take on renting out my house. Does anyone have recommendations or know a place taking on new clients?

Detailed map of the centennial trail.

Maybe I am an idiot, but once the trail leaves Riverfront Park heading NW, all the maps quickly turn into a mess that is difficult to read. Is most of it surface streets? Riding my bike in Spokane on the street causes a bit of anxiety. Even worse than the Upriver horror show between Argonne and the dam. Narrow streets, potholes, and crazy drivers add up to a potential horror show. There are few places in Spokane where I don't get nervous driving a car. Call me a boomer if you wish.

My bike computer is dumb and only tracks speed/distance/slope/elevation/time. No map functionality.

If my knees and feet cooperate, I would like to be able to ride the entire length twice by early October, assuming all of the repairs are done. Barker trailhead -> Couer D'Alene -> wherever the trail ends going west and back to Greenacres. I am very familiar with going into Couer D'Alene but have never gone past Riverfront. Those 30%+ grades on the trail in Idaho cause me less stress than riding on streets in Spokane. 😂😰

If I have to, I will pay for a detailed map where the trail is the focus so I can trace out the route over the summer and do bits and pieces to build up to my goal.

Building a studio in the county

What are the limits on building a studio or shop in the county limits. Places I have lived in the past allow you to build a studio that includes bathroom facilities, rooms, etc. they usually don’t allow a cooktop. I couldn’t find anything in the zoning rules that specified if you were allowed to build a shop or studio with cooking facilities. I saw some ADU rules, but those wouldn’t apply for what I was hoping to build. Any experience with this would be appreciated.

Name this empty hallway

Seriously… Northtown was eerily empty. I’m really not sure what they can do with all that square footage.

The road in front of Sacred Heart hospital.

Rockwood & W 9th. its horrible. Super pothole-y and awful. I called SPOKANE Street department and a very nice guy answered the phone and when I asked him kindly about it, he said that it’s been brought up a few times over the last couple years, but it doesn’t end up on a priority list for resurfacing.

He suggested I go to the neighborhood council meetings, but I don’t have time for that.

I’m really surprised that they aren’t putting that street as a priority being that sure many healthcare workers and ambulance drivers access that on a regular basis.

That’s all. Just wanted to mention it.

does anyone else drive this road and notice how awful it is?

Anywhere in town that does stand mixer repair?

My kitchenaid mixer is giving me some problems and I need to get it checked out. Most appliance shops are closed for the weekend, but the few I was able to call before they closed said they don’t do mixers. Was hoping someone had experience with this. I’ll try to include a video of the problem just in case anybody out there might know what’s the matter with it.

Fun part time jobs?

I work a job right now where I often have 1-2 weeks off at a time. To fill in all my free time, make some friends, get out of the house, etc etc, I’ve been looking into getting a second job. Does anyone have recommendations or know of somewhere hiring in town for a super chill part time position? I looked into substitute teaching, but apparently in WA you need to be a WA certified teacher just to sub! Pay isn’t important for this, I’m just looking for a fun way to take up 10-15 hours a week and get paid while I do it. Any and all ideas are well appreciated.

emergency alt haircut

hi 🧍 just got a rough haircut and i am trying to pick up the pieces before it sets in.

anyone know any alternative hair stylists (or are one yourself) with immediate availability? at this point anything that will fix the current state of it would be better than having to give in and just shave myself bald (again).

Multi-Color Screen Printing Job

I need 40-50 shirts with my custom design screen printed for my band. My usual printer won’t take the order because my design requires more than 2 colors. Can anyone recommend a high quality screen printer that can create screens for 10 colors. I have the color layers separated already.

Spokane breweries - Belgian beers

Hello, I'll be going through Spokane at the end of June and hopefully be able to stop by through breweries on the way. I'm particularly a fan of belgian styles. Does any of the Spokane breweries be a especially good choice in that regards? I'm also a fan of German Wheat beers and Dopplebock if other breweries offer good selection of those. Thanks

Parade

What's the best spot to take an elderly person to watch the parade tonight? I'm fine with restaurant or someplace just to sit but am not sure of what's available. Any suggestions?

Snakes Sighting

These two bull snakes on the side of the road. Looks like they’re mating? Such a freaky thing to see, made my skin crawl haha. Seems like they’re popping up throughout Spokane.

Recommendations for kitchen countertop appliance repair shops?

I have a Breville espresso machine that is at least 5+ years old. It's on the fritz, it might be a bad pump, we're not sure. Just curious if there's any shops out there that could take a look at it and let us know if it's easily fixable. Thanks.

Parade…thoughts

We want to go down to watch the parade tomorrow, but this is our first time. When do people set up, is it worth the crowd, food, bathroom. I looked over the route and just not sure, beginning or end? Appreciate your thoughts.

What was up with all the smoke or dust today?

I work in the OR at deaconess and was in a 6 hour procedure, when I went in it was cloudy but I could clearly see to downtown. Came out of the OR to see smoke/dust whatever it was and at first I thought there was a huge fire somewhere. I could barely see the davenport lol

Spokane rabbit friendly apartments??

I am looking to move into a 1 or 2 bed in the Spokane area and I have 2 free roam rabbits (male and female spayed and neutered!) They are litter boxed trained and pretty well behaved! Never caused any damage to places I’ve lived before besides my own belongings. Does anyone know of a place that would allow them? I would like to be honest lol
