Does anyone know of a gym with basketball hoops that is open and free to the public?
How is the housing market in the tri cities right now? Is it a good or a bad time to buy? Any insight would be appreciated thank you.
So I recently started doing stand up, was wondering if there was a community around? Would just like to meet up and maybe toss joke ideas around, work on some writing. Get coffee or a beer and just throw shit at each other.
I am super excited to announce that Storytime Bookshop in Downtown Kennewick is open! Check out the website at www.storytimebookshop.com

My name is Lorelei Kennedy, MS and I am the owner. When I moved here almost 4 years ago, I was astounded to find that there are no children-specific bookstores anywhere in the region until you get to Spokane, Portland, or Seattle. My professional background is in Theatre and Education and I've been teaching kids and working with families and communities for over 20 years. I am thrilled to be able to offer more activities to the families in our region!
We are at 309 W Kennewick Ave. and have been open for just a couple of weeks. A grand opening and ribbon cutting date is in the works, but in the meantime you can come by and visit.
Current community offerings:
OCT. 31 HAUNTED BOOKSHOP MINI TOUR - FIRST 50 KIDS GET A GOODIE BAG
Story times at 11am and 2pm most days (starting November 6)
Free and paid programming that is literacy-focused and play-based (designed for any family and perfect for home school families) - Registration has started, but admission is on a rolling basis
Cute play and seating area for families to connect with each other
KeenEye Photography studio for family portraits, headshots, events, etc.
Author signings and workshops
Mostly used and some new books for kids and adults
MORE as we head into 2025!
Hey everyone! I'm a volunteer at the Tri-Cities Food Co-op, and I’m so excited to share that Phase 1 of the co-op opens TODAY at 11 AM! We've been working hard to make this happen, and we can’t wait for you to come see it.
Starting today, you’ll find fresh, local, and organic produce from fantastic farms around our area, plus baked goods from Ethos Bakery! This is just the first phase, so there’s lots more to come, like shelf-stable items, a coffee shop, and eventually a full grocery selection!
If you haven’t joined yet, consider becoming a member! Membership helps us grow, and you get a 5% discount through December, along with other perks. Our goal is to reach 1,000 members by the end of the year, and every new member makes a huge difference. You can become a member here: https://tcfcoop.org/
Stop by, shop, and join a community committed to supporting local farmers and sustainable food. Hope to see some of you there today!
I have my 4year old Thursday night thru Sunday night and my work has been slammed lately and I am needed to work Fridays for the foreseeable future. I am looking for recommendations on good daycare services that will take a child Fridays only. It needs to be open @ 6am or sooner. If you have any leads I’d appreciate the help. Thank you
3 banks I tried don't have counting machines and the walmart kiosk doesn't give you walmart gift cards and they take 12% for cash.....
hi. i’m ashamed to even be writing this but at best i have until march to find a new place to live. im almost 18 and i have a toddler and not many resources.
for background; -i am 17 -i have been emancipated for over a year -i have a 14 month old -i am living with my child’s fathers mom, he and his mother had a falling out and he lives with a friend and i and his mother primarily handle the childcare. he visits and helps sometimes but not much. -both me and my sons father (18) are not able to sustainably afford rent on our own. -i make anywhere from 1200-1500(ish) depending on tips and hours. -the waiting list for housing is closed currently -i am trying my hardest to stay with my son but family isnt an option unfortunately so i may have to leave him with his grandmother/his father. -im struggling to find childcare -my best bet at the moment is moving back to vegas with extended family where i know nobody (and my sons dad probably wont allow it this time);;; or moving into a random room i can rent on facebook. so i can save for a place and try and get a better job. and in that scenario my son cannot come because i will worry for his safety. i will only be able to visit him and not being by his side every day and night will kill me.
i’m basically so ashamed because i’ve made a series of bad mistakes in terms of housing and have made impulsive decisions and am a terrible saver. i haven’t recklessly spent in a long time but even when i try to save i for some reason never am able to for one reason or another. im supposed to be on meds for all this impulsivity shit for a mood disorder but i can’t afford therapy. i love my child so badly and feel so bad. im generally a decent mom but this is a situation im not doing well in. everything i’ve always done and every housing opportunity i’ve passed up i felt like i was doing what was best. but i’m really just dumb. i want to stay with my lovely son but i need housing and money in order to do that. any assistance or advice would be terrifically appreciated
Did anyone catch the Spudnuts story on #AppleValleyNews at 7? The news anchor whoes covering the story of the new shop in Kennewick thats opening, ended the story with jokingly saying, calling The Kennewick KPD pretty much "donut eaters". It was pretty bold move of anchor to call them out! Even though it's a joke. I just wanna say dude, that was slllliiiddddeee; cause hopefully they won't notice lol!
Apparently they’re doing a trick or treat thing on Halloween for kids and teenagers? I haven’t been able to find anything online about it. Does anyone know anything about it? Wanna take the kids I babysit :)
Looking to take my 13 year old to a haunted corn maze or haunted house. I googled but all it came up with was regular corn mazes with pumpkin patch. Thanks!
Hey I’m not new but I have been pretty isolated since I moved here 16 years ago. Now I’m looking to change life style and want to have a more social life. Looking for some gay friends or friendly friends who can really show me around, where do we people go usually, where to hang out, where to meet people etc. thanks in advance.
Opinions are like... and half the actual information on the topic seems to be incomplete speculation
The title says it all really. I have a 4 year old and am wondering what your thoughts are on the best neighborhood to go trick or treating in. I was thinking Canyon Lakes but am second guessing it because the houses are spread further apart and the hills will be unappealing to my kiddo. Where have you had good experiences at?
Looking for recommendations on where to hold a holiday party for 80ish people
So, I've been on the search for an apartment that would be worth moving out for in my price range, and I found one online that's perfect!
They have no units at the moment but I've decided they look so cool I want to wait for one.
The thing is... there are no reviews and they are in a part of town that has a history of many homeless people hanging around.
Do you guys know of anyone who lives at Vertisee Heights, what do they think and is it safe?
Does anyone know when Amazon releases new jobs?? I haven’t seen anything on the hiring.amazon.com website for a while.
I have this foam fortress I made for the dnd campaign Dragon of Icespire peak. It's not perfect but it's cool. I've used it for 2 campaigns and I'm looking for a DM or someone who knows a DM that could use it.
Totally free just come pick it up
Here is the weekly post for the Tri-Cities area! This post is for general discussion and questions that don't quite warrant an entire post, but you still want to voice!

Me and my wife (Early 20s) are looking for some peeps to hangout with most of the winter. If anybody is interested we love doing board games, pickleball, volleyball, movie nights, gaming party’s, and just going on walks and bike rides.
Age range 19-32 is our ideal friend range. Don’t need any teen drama or weird creeps. Just DM me or reply to this post, thanks!
