My girlfriend is accepting a job in healthcare in Richland starting in July. We are late 20s, liberal and enjoy eating/drinking out and recreational sports. We are moving from a mid sized city in the south and I’m wondering what we can expect culturally and socially in Richland and the tri cities area generally.

I know it will be quite scaled back from what we’re used to now but firm believer in everywhere has good things and bad.

Have two boys 12,13 that I’m thinking of taking to QUAKE tonight…however I heard from a family member it was super expensive and not worth it due to having to wait sometimes up to an hr. I just recently took a walk on the trail by Zintel Canyon and it’s beautiful. It’s a shame to see a bunch of graffiti and garbage everywhere. Is it really true there are a bunch of transients there too? Even crime? I would love to walk there more often, but I would like to hear the stories that you’ve heard of for Zintel Canyon just so I can get familiar with its current background.

Coworkers told me about Five Guys, they’re not bad but not quite what I’m looking for. I’m hoping to try some different American burgers like the smashed burgers or onion burgers instead of bacon cheese burgers (which is fine, if you have some really good recommendations I would love to try them too).

I'm getting back into biking trails etc. to get back in shape and just kind of enjoy biking. Usually the best time for me is early AM, like 5:30ish and I was thinking about going down to Chamna and putting around down there for some exercise. Are there times of day that I should maybe stay away from that area for whatever reason? Never been there but have always wanted to bike around down there.

Is there a water park, public swimming pools to take your LO for a summer trip around Tri-Cities?

They are having a second gluten free corndogs and doughnuts event. These were so good my mouth is watering just thinking about these. The doughnuts melt on your mouth. My favorite was the maple glaze ones. And I can’t ever eat the foster farms gluten free corndogs ever again because these are just that good. If you don’t get a chance to try them last time I highly suggest going out and trying them this time.

This is so random, but my wife and I are having to leave the area and head back to Georgia at the end of this week. My wife is a travel nurse and I work remotely so it was a great opportunity for us to see this area of the country and explore all the mountains and cities nearby including Leavenworth, Seattle, and Portland. One thing that we’ve noticed is that everybody out here is so much nicer than in the Midwest, which is where we both are originally from. We’ve even talked about moving back to this area and having a family. anyway just wanted to say how much this place means to us and that we will have to return somewhere down the Road. 💚

Does anyone know what is causing the strong fruity smell outside in South Richland? If I had to guess, it’s probably a plant that blooms at this particular time of year but my searching online has not turned up anything.

I’m bored lonely, looking for friends. But more importantly is there a ceramics studio or class in tri cities?

I tried to turn my irrigation system back on this season and the sprinklers are not running. I’ve reached the end of my knowledge troubleshooting it myself- time to bring in a pro. Probably something really simple: a valve closed somewhere, a bad wire somewhere. Anybody know something be I can call to come knock this job out real quick? Hi everyone, I love gardening and have more roses than I know what to do with in my yard. I thought it might be fun to rent out a weekend booth at a vendor’s market or farmer’s market to sell bouquets for very cheap so others can enjoy some of my flowers. I am somewhat new to the area so I am looking for some advice on what farmer’s/vendor’s markets are even in the area or how they are organized - any advice is welcome!!
