So I'm really thinking about buying a Friday ticket for the Capitol Hill Block Party festival this year but I'm wondering if it'll even be worth it for me. I'm 18 and 5'1 or 5'2 so I wouldn't be able to get VIP. How far is GA typically? I tried and looked at pictures of the festival and there's a fenced-off area to the left but I think that's just another stage?
For the main stage is GA blocked off from VIP? Would it be possible to get a decent view with GA and being short?
Any advice helps, I really want to go and see chappell, remi, etc. but I don't want to spend almost $150 for the ticket alone just to not be able to see anything.
Keane is starting their US tour in Sept 2024 in CA locations, what are the odds that they're saving the PNW presentation for an unannounced music fest?
Our film was produced in Maryland, what are the best festivals on the east coast? Along with anywhere around the world our film is in Japanese and is centered around two Japanese siblings. Should I even submit to festivals or go through distribution?

Anyone been? Can anyone fill me in on what to expect and what type of activities there are? I have been to festivals around the region like. Summer Meltdown, BAMF!, What The Festival, and Sasquatch.
What are the stages like and how many are there?
Are there local acts? Is there the since of community there?
What is camping like?
Is the music diverse? What type of artists do they book?
Me again!
I'm looking to get into temp work with festivals around Vancouver & surrounding areas.
I worked a lot back home on Soundwave & Big Day Out festivals, mostly in artist rider and have done a fair bit of merchandise on the road & locally.
Does anyone have recommendations of where I might start looking for similar work?
Cheers!
Hey mates!
I've recently moved to Vancouver from Australia (classic..) and I'm navigating my way through the music scene here to discover bands & venues (I work in Tour Accounting)
One of the ways I'm doing this is playlisting(?) local/interstate/international punk bands that are touring through Van as it's what I know best. Including acts on any festivals coming through!
Thought you might be interested to check it out.. would love to hear your thoughts on if this would interest anyone else!
I'm going to start doing more genres & other types of themes (e.g. 'performing this week', 'girl power', 'local only') would love to hear ya thoughts if this is something the public would be interested in!

Guts. Ghosts. Ghouls. The 2nd Annual Northwest Horrorfest celebrates macabre filmmakers from across the greater Pacific Northwest area. Entries can range from documentaries to narrative feature and beyond.
The Northwest Horrorfest is hosted around the Olympia, Washington downtown area, mainly inside the Capitol Theater, a 1924 concert and movie palace owned and operated by the Olympia Film Society. This organization supports a small staff and board of directors along with over 125 dedicated volunteers who select films, organize events, and run the Capitol Theater.
Seattle Cocktail Week is a week long celebration of the Emerald City’s cocktail scene: bars and brands which make up this vibrant landscape as well as the best cocktail concoctions available – all while benefiting a local charity in our community.
Opening for the first time to the public, make sure to check out the Welcome Back BBQ at UBC for acts Jauz, Killy and Whipped Cream! Grab your tickets here: https://www.showpass.com/bbq2018/
