I was doing the mission where you have to run Mama to Mountain Knox and I ran past the Incinerator.
Wondering if anyone knows if this triggers a cutscene or not if we try to put an important NPC or Lost Porter there.
Gave the artist a pic of the album cover: DEATH STRANDING: Timefall (Original Music from the World of Death Stranding). Love this game!
Just started the game. Saved by sitting down just before the next cut scene. But when I started up again, I was 4 or 5 cut scenes back and had to skip forward through all of them to get back to where I was. What did I do wrong?
I get that these are mails narrating how he got to built the shelter before the tar ocean leading to Edge Knot in which you later wake up into. This shelter also has the label of Aaron Hill, indicating he built it, but his fourth email hits weird to me.
“Man, I was so sure I was gonna get ambushed by terrorists, or run into a bunch of BTs somewhere along the way, but nope! Made it there and back in one piece! I don’t want to make myself out to be a hero, though. The safe house had already been built by the time I reached Mountain Knot. Maybe HQ didn’t trust me to do the job and asked someone else to take care of it? Nah…they wouldn’t do that. And besides, we don’t have the people to spare. Someone must have built it, though, but who?
You know what, though? The safe house wasn’t all I found waiting for me. There was a ladder, too. Makes one hell of a difference knowing you’re not alone. Cheered me up to no end, I can tell you. Hey – was it you who put it there? Well, if it was, thanks. Heh. Kinda feels like we’re partners now.
Came across a bunch of dropped cargo, too”
What does he mean the safe house was already built by the time he reached Mountain Knot? It would make sense tha “it was already built by the time I reached the beach before the tar belt” because if not would meant that the safe house was in Mountain Knot.
Also, I have a feeling that the ladder and lost cargo is a hint to something else (like in previous mails where he tells he found someone who has lost some fossils)?
Or a list? (Not including signs)
I’m on PS5’s DC.
He’s responding to my message about funny moments in DS. He loves the game and is thoroughly enjoying himself. Maybe too much. .
Keep on keepin on.
No idea why it looks so poor on the video (quality , fog). Looks great on the phone and the console. Oh well.
What does the Red X on a delivery terminal mean?
I’m about 3/4th of the way through the game, wow everything about it is mind blowing. Wanted to draw Sam in my own style, his design is incredible.
I think this is the most technically difficult one I've done so far because of all the different terrain and the distance.
I got 5:31 with a combination of zip lines, ramps, carrier riding, and vehicles.
Never been to this lake but I hope to visit one day just randomly saw this
Was just placing a hook down over collector and it went thru the earth lmao now I gotta walk to the exit
I brought a delivery from Capital Knot City to Port Knot City. It was supposed to be 4 items but somehow I dropped one of them on the road(i guess). So is there any practical way to deliver this shipment or do I have to turn back this whole road?
Recently gave this game another chance. Just after building my first bridge not too far in the game. Any tips or advise? Thank you.
I searched but couldn’t find anything my question is since DS DC came out and the og version of the game got delisted and i only finished it from gamepass on pc. How does it work ? I mean my save is on the cloud from xbox but if i play the dc does my progress come over ? Like there is no other way since the game is gone for good. Ik for ps you gotta upload it on a terminal but as i said this option is gone for me.
I've been playing Monster Hunter GO and Pokemon GO and while they both fit a walking motif, I kinda think just rewarding a journey in a Death Stranding like one of these would be better. I like both of those games it's just both have moments where they want you to stop walking and pay attention to the game. (Monster Hunter is especially bad about this if you want to follow a path as it wants you to stop and hunt for a chunk of time, Pokemon at least can go quick if your throw is good)
I just did the first mission where Sam decides to help them establish connections. I picked up some lost items and found a box I could drop them in for less reward and it goes to another player? I went ahead and dropped some of the heavier items and continued on to the end destination. After I delivered the main items I believe it showed the same lower reward for dropping off lost items there. So my question is where is the intended destination for you to deliver these items yourself?
On my 3rd playthrough, I did a online one and then a offline playthrough on my ps4. First time playing the DC! And I made it out of that dang incinerator without being caught!🤣3rd times a charm
I'm playing thsi game for the first time on PC and I need some help:
first of all it should be noted that I do not care to get more FPS, already at native 4k I can run it at 90-100 fps BUT
I realized that even native 4k with TAA is more shimmery than FSR 2 for example. But I don't really know which one to use cause usually with FSR you would lose on details such as particles and so on. For example, in Rift Apart, with FSR the confetti flying around is HUGELY impacted, looking far worse than native. Will this game have particles that will get hugely impacted by FSR for example?
Any Microsoft Store players here still play the OG Death Stranding and not the DC?
I bought it last month to finish up the last achievements after the game leaving Gamepass last year.
So I was a little bummed they released the D.C. a few weeks later for cheaper, but that's life.
So I started playing again a few days ago, and the game says it cannot connect online and throws me into offline mode. I also can not find it on the Microsoft Store anymore. Also no option to upgrade to the D.C.
I tried getting a refund, but it was declined. I talked to a MS bot chat help thingie, saying I could get a refund. But it was still declined almost automatically.
Any one else got this? Got any advice?
Is it possible to skip the post credits scene in any way, since my PS always overheats when it starts and then it turns off?
New to the game. Has this happened to anyone else before? (Everything went back to normal once I looked away from the door)
Why were there so many voidouts in the American midwest? Is there a mail or dialogue that explains it?
Edit: Once getting to Lake Knot City, characters kept referring to the area as Ground Zero. I'm assuming that means the midwest area was where BTs and Beach phenomena started happening and people didn't know what would happen.
I actually first bought the game in 2020 on my Ps4, but never really got into it due to the "slow" gameplay. Seeing all the new trailers for DS2 though, I got an itch to try it again, so last week I bought the game on a Steam sale and OH BOY! Without going into much detail, I beat the story in about 4 days (which is pretty crazy for my standards) and I think part of the reason why it only "clicked" for me now is because I've got into writing and storytelling the past year or so, so I really got to appreciate Kojima's amazing, yet REALLY weird writing (I absolutely loved the weirdness of it though). But despite the story, I also loved the gameplay which ironically was the reason why I didn't get into it before. The slow pacing gave me almost a meditative feeling while also leaving me on edge with the BT/Timefall and cargo quality mechanics, and it was just the perfect blend for me. Anyways, I'm really glad that I gave the game another shot, because now it's definitely up there with my all time favorites, and I can't wait for DS2! I'm happy to be part of the community now!
