I'm personally not a fan of the default control scheme for controller and would prefer to remap any of the controls on controller if possible. Curious if they're adding the ability to fully remap controller binds in Wilds as a convenience since native controller re-mapping support seemed to be absent from Rise and World (as far as I can tell you have to do workarounds like a re-mapping binds through Steam or 3rd party re-mapping software but I'm personally not a fan since buttons prompts no longer match).

I'm pretty sure they had a playtest not too long ago but I missed it. Just wanted to see if anyone knew by chance.

(also a sprint hold/tap toggle on controller would be nice js)

hey guys! as everyone knows, christmas is coming up, and i'm currently working on a gift for my amazing bf of 2.5 years. he loves MH3, as it captures a huge sense of nostalgia for him, and i'd love to honor that. i am a pretty good artist, so i thought that i'd make a drawing/illustration titled "Old World Flora", which will be based on 16th-19th century botanical illustrations.

i have never played any MH games, which is why i need your help. i want to know which plants (flowers, weeds, berries) appear and are prominent in Tri, as well as a general description of each one (shape, color, vibe). i have found a few options myself: herbs, sap plant, paintberry, dragonfell berry, cactus flower, adamant seed and nullberry; i'd love to know if these examples are valid, and any info on them will be appreciated greatly. otherwise, if these don't work for any reason, please drop some new suggestions.

Hey guys!.Bought this second hand. Just wanna ask those who has this figure if there are alos inconsistencies with the paint. I tried checking the paint seems its from the manufacturing. I tried checking if it was man made defect but the paint isnt chipping.

As the title suggests this is not a sob story of how it got me out of depression or anything. It's really stupid actually.

It all started around a year and a half ago. I'd just "finished" Sunbreak (there was nothing else left for me to do) and it was around this time I was 90% certain we'd be getting a new monster hunter by first half of 2024. In hindsight, BOY WAS I WRONG, but yeah I was very hyped. Then it hit me - once it comes out I'm gonna end up playing like 8-12 hours a day for a month, and I wasn't sure if I'm even gonna be alive at the end of all that, especially since my health was noticeably getting worse due to my sedentary lifestyle.

This alone did not make me go "I need to change my life around", no. My thought was exactly this:

"I need to be at least in a healthy enough state to not die once I start go full no-life mode when the new MH game comes out"

Yeah, that's why I started working out. To play MH for as long I want to without having serious health reprecussions. After that. to my surprise I stuck to my diet/exercise routine. I've lost nearly 20kg of weight, and am currently at around 12% body fat. My blood pressure is finally at a normal range after years of mild hypertension, and because self-made food is easier to track calories I taught myself how to cook and now it's become a hobby. I wouldn't say it's only upsides as now I'm too obsessed over my calorie intake to the point where people around me say I might have an ED lol. Anyways yeah that's how a video game got me to be in the best shape of my life.

Moral of the story is: There is none. This is stupid. I'm stupid.

I was doing Arena quests to farm for Arena Coins for Black Belt Armor when this guy joined my session. We had amazing synergy, utterly destroying Banbaro. Then we did Nightshade Paolumu and again, utterly bashing it. Unfortunately, we got hit by it’s barrel rolling move and we both got stunned. They were targeted by the monster and fainted. No big deal, I thought, lets just keep bashing it.

Nope. They rage quitted. Leaving the quest. Leaving the session. Immediately. I wouldn’t have been surprised if they completely shut the game or even the console off. Leaving me with the Nightshade Paulumu. Needless to say, I didn’t get gold time in the Arena. I was honestly baffled. It was such a shame because we had a really good teamwork.

I don’t think they’ll be able to find this or read this post because their profile was in Japanese. But if You(won’t post username) do find this, dude it’s not that serious. One faint is not the end of the world. Take the max potion the Arena gives you and come back.

Sorry for venting, it’s just I’ve been waiting for a while for someone to play Arenas with me and one doesn’t find a teammate with such a good synergy just anywhere.

I've had an interest in this category for a while. When I first heard about it, I didn't know anything about the franchise at all.

I jumped in with Rise, but tbh I didn't have the best experience. So many things that I didn't understand. The community is rich and very deep, but I didn't engage properly and got on the toxic side. I still made it to HR before I bailed.

Then I was planning on trying Wild Hearts, but got feedback that it wasn't baked properly. I started to think that this category just wasn't for me.

Fast forward to this year and the Wilds Beta launches. I decide to jump back in and give this one more try. Man, really fun Beta and it fired me up to go deeper still. I downloaded World because I heard so many good things.

I've played a lot slower. I really want to respect and understand the depth of what I'm playing. I chose a simpler weapon set this time. In Rise I went with IG mainly, but this time around my main is SnS.

I've had a completely different experience. MHW is amazing and I can't wait to play when I get home from work. I'm moving a lot more. More positioning and better timing.

One of the things I continue to have struggles with tho, is the I-Frames. I know they are really tight, but I can't seem to get my timing together for my rolls. Any suggestions on that?

1: what if we had an essence stacking system where we can store and stack redundant essences. So that when using RSS you can directly have the second stacked triple essence active allowing you to seamlessly use DT to get back to the ground and keep up the pressure

2: give RSS the same effect as Powder vortex, allowing us to recycle nearby dust clouds and allowing a new layer of use/gameplay to RSS. With different dusts creating different effects, like green dust creating a green healing whirlwind. Or poison dust creating a poisonous spiraling AOE, etc etc

Every weapon has some idea. The hunting horn does buffs, the greatsword gets big hits, the charge blade does phial management, the hammer does blunt trauma, the gun lance breaks parts and ignores armor and the switch axe... exists?

Don't get me wrong, it's a good weapon. It's mobile, does fine at breaking and severing parts and is good at using big openings. It just feels like it's the only one without a distinct feature. Am I missing something?

If Monster Hunter and Hitman have anything in common it’s hunting, but the differences are the creatures and humans. my only issue with hitman is that you can’t skin them and make outfits and weapons

Thought they did so well with Behemoth from Final Fantasy I wanna see it again

My first was MHFU on PSVita.

I remember being a noob to MHFU I didn’t know about paintballs or crit distance so hunting Congalala which kept jumping to different areas I had no idea where, plus my wrong ammo and distance with HBG took me forever to kill. Ran out of time few runs 😂

Then MH3U on Wii U, MF4U and Generations on 3ds (apex relic weapon farming at level 140 and hame was immense) and loved them most, endgame was infinite.

Then got World on PC which was disappointing and too easy. Of course played Wilds beta too.

And finally Rise which I am almost done with and planning to get Sunbreak as I really enjoy the base game.

I received an email notifying me of a partial refund and a repurchase of Monster Hunter Wilds and just wanted to share that at least in Canada the price of Premium Deluxe Edition has seemingly dropped by roughly $15CAD. :D
