Diving Plays in the infield are too routine. They tried to update the throw meter a couple years back to balance it a bit, but players have adjusted to it. Dives in the grass are too successful in that a ball never pops out from impact.

A fielders rating should calculate into dives. Diamond fielders, fine, let them go dive crazy, but limit Gold and below so there is more risk/reward with choosing fielders.

Hi everyone, I bought a preowned disc version of mlb the show 24 on ps5 and on first boot up the game immediately said network error can’t connect to mlb the show. I tried everything resetting my router, deleting the game and redownloading, changing dns settings and all of my other games that have online play like helldivers 2 work fine, but it’s been like this for 2 days now and nothings changed.

Who are the top five Starting pitchers or close to the top five. I’m trying to figure who to use. I have Randy, Paul, Pedro, AJ Burnett, and 3000 SO Verlander

Is there a way to play a game with Controller Select set to one team (not neutral) but still basically be in “watch mode”? Basically, I’m wanting the User sliders to apply to my team and the CPU sliders to apply to the other team, but I still want to observe the game as a simulation. Does that make sense? I recently got MLB24 from having a PlayStation Plus subscription and have about 50 hours in Diamond Dynasty. I struggle to hit fastballs over 100mph. I’m consistently late on them. I try swinging as soon as it leaves the pitchers had but at that point I feel like I’m strictly guessing and leads to terrible at bats. Any advice is appreciated

One of the most annoying things is playing an online ranked match and matchmaking with the same team. I’ll just quit and search again. Most sports game have this off automatically.

I just updated the roster and went into a new franchise mode. When you look at stats, they added 2024. Which is cool unless you’re going to play franchise and are playing in the 2024 season. So 2024 gets duplicated with both real and game stats…

Do they do this every year? Or is this an error?

I’m a RTTS player and I want to use the Trout cleats because of the +12 Stealing bonus, but I can’t buy the cleats through the marketplace. Am I supposed to hopelessly open 15k diamond equipment packs until I get lucky? Has anyone ran into the same problem?

I know it’s towards the end of the cycle so odds are they’ve moved onto 25 planning but anybody think they’ll give out cards for MLB awards this year? I know they did MiLB earlier.

I swear people in this game are allergic to playing from behind. If you score a run in the first 2-3 innings, 90% of the time people will leave if they can’t immediately score one back. It’s so hard to get a nice full game going because of this.

Do you guys think there should be some sort of penalty if you consistently leave 1’s games? I would say obviously not leaving one or a few, but it’s really annoying to not have any games play out past the 5th if you have a lead

I’m a 2-way player, multi time MVP and CY, drafted by the Dodgers, finally hit free agency and go to my home town Braves. First year with the team and we make the NLCS, go up 3-1, lose game 5, lose game 6. Game 7is in Arizona and I’m the starter. We score early and go up 5-0, and I take it into the 9th. Get the first out then give up a solo shot. Manager decides to go to the bullpen.

So in the bottom of the 12th inning, 0-0 game, 1 out I just lost via a walk off sac fly double play that should have ended the inning. Umpire called the runner at home out. Announcer said something to the effect of “out at the plate and the inning is over, but they do get a run…” absolutely wild glitch that I’ve never seen before.

The first perfect game I’ve thrown since MLB 21. Of all the pitchers I thought I might throw a perfecto with Pedro was not the one lol. Ggs and respect to my opponent for sticking that game out.
