So i didn't get to play sinoalice and i wanted to read the manga, do i need context from the game before starting to read? If so, where could i find it?

So I recently just got into the game via steam, looked around and read that it's supposed to support ultrawide res due to an update, but looking at the screen options the highest I can go is 1920? is there something wrong with My game or computer??

I really love the game of NieR: Automata; before I had heard a little and seen a video or two, but now that I'm playing it again, I can say that it's wonderful. It made me relive the love I have for video games.

I'm not sure if this has been explained in the many side projects of Yoko Taro (Nier books, audio dramas, guides, stage plays, etc), but why didn't Devola and Popola guide Nier better so that he didn't cause the extinction of mankind? It just seems like a major plot hole for them not to tell Nier about what replicants and gestalts were and how they could have guided him to understand this.

I feel it makes for a better story and more emotional climax when you, the player, find out the truth that you've been fighting humans all along. But them not telling him still seems silly to me. Thoughts?

after seeing ending E of Nier: Replicant I started Automata this weekend, while watching at some spoiler free short beginners guides on YouTube I came across a video recommending a location in the desert as a good place for some early leveling:

I am now exactly at the point where I met these robots the person mentions and had the boss fight after it at this location. After this I went to the entrance to the desert area to save and went back to the location exactly as shown in the video, however when I am in the upper cave to that arena and am just about to enter it the POD give out a warning by simply saying „Alert“ and 2B stops walking and turns around. Am I missing something or was this seen by the developers as something that needed to be patched? I am at level 9 and according to the video you could start doing this even at a lower level, or is this something that was changed by an update that you need to be at a higher level to go in the arena again? Or do I need to progress in the main story a little more, I just finishes the boss fight in the arena and didn‘t do anything after that except going to the save area at the entrance to the desert area?

If this method is not working anymore, is there another good way for EXP farming early in the game?

I'm trying to get one to spawn so I can hack it as 9S for the colosseum, but none spawn. I've tried the mall and the city ruins.

I'm at the point in the story where you're first asked to explore the forest kingdom.

I'm playing route B, but in the part in Pascal's village where you have to go to the city ruins to board the flight units, the gearbox thing that blocks the path does not go away and I can't get through. Pls help I don't want to start over :(
